Zhou Jieyue behaved very differently from the others, looking extremely excited and wanting to catch ghosts. She was the first to rush into the escape room, and Jiang Ruosong followed out of concern for her. Lu Dao and Gu Zhengxing naturally teamed up to search for Chai Ziyu. During their search, Lu Dao wanted to learn more about Gu Zhengxing’s past and asked why he refused to perform on stage despite his passion for it.
Gu Zhengxing revealed that during previous performances, all his female co-stars had been seriously injured, so he vowed never to go on stage again. As they were talking, someone dressed as a ghost tried to scare them, but neither of them was frightened. After finishing their conversation, they finally noticed the ghost and were scared into running away. Ye Qi and Zuo Qiandai also paired up to search.
Ye Qi suddenly had a stomachache and rushed out to use the bathroom, leaving Zuo Qiandai alone. When he returned, he heard Zuo Qiandai shouting. In his panic over her safety, Ye Qi rushed in to help and accidentally knocked out one of the NPCs. As a result, they had to leave and could no longer participate in the escape room. Lu Dao and Gu Zhengxing were cornered in a room.
Gu Zhengxing blocked the door while Lu Dao searched for another exit. Gu Zhengxing happened to glance at Lu Dao's legs and realized that her legs resembled the perfect ones he had always envisioned. Meanwhile, Zhou Jieyue and Jiang Ruosong were enjoying a peaceful time — Zhou Jieyue even fell asleep on Jiang Ruosong’s shoulder. Chai Ziyu, still waiting to be rescued, remained confident that his friends would come for him even though no one had shown up yet.
Ye Qi indeed gained a lot of inspiration from the escape room experience and successfully submitted his draft. After returning, Ye Qi proactively requested to rejoin the basketball team. Zuo Qiandai also brought lots of medical supplies just in case. Jiang Ruosong even prepared a simple welcome ceremony for Ye Qi. However, just as everyone was getting excited, Ye Qi announced that he wanted to become the basketball team’s manager, not a player.
After returning, Lu Dao’s acting was impressive and captivated Gu Zhengxing. After the performance, his focus was still on Lu Dao’s legs. In fact, her performance hadn’t impressed him at all — he had been staring at her perfect legs the entire time. So Gu Zhengxing modified the script, trying to eliminate Lu Dao’s legs from the story. But the more he edited, the more attention he paid to her legs.
Just as the basketball team members were puzzled, Zhou Jieyue suddenly showed up with a group of female team members. Zhou Jieyue thought Ye Qi was there to steal her turf and was very displeased. Zuo Qiandai explained that Ye Qi was there to be the boys’ team manager. After Zuo Qiandai described the role of a manager, Zhou Jieyue realized that her usual tasks were similar and decided to compete for the position.
The boys' team was horrified by the idea and tried to persuade Ye Qi to take the manager role. In the end, Ye Qi and Zhou Jieyue agreed to compete for the position — but Zhou Jieyue added a condition: the loser would have to wear an outfit the other found embarrassing.
