Ye Qi and Zuo Qiandai watched the stars in the night sky together. Seeing that Zuo Qiandai liked stargazing, Ye Qi took her on the Ferris wheel so they could enjoy a perfect view of the stars when it reached the top. However, a mishap occurred when they entered the Ferris wheel. Since Ye Qi was paying, Zuo Qiandai went in first, and by the time Ye Qi came over, he had to sit in a different compartment.
They communicated through the glass between their two cabins. Although there were still some communication barriers between them, by a stroke of luck, they captured the most beautiful moments on camera, which greatly inspired Ye Qi creatively. After returning from the team-building trip, Ye Qi created a new comic based on the inspiration from that night. The thoughts of the character in Ye Qi’s comic mirrored exactly what Zuo Qiandai had felt that evening.
Zuo Qiandai mistakenly thought Ye Qi could read her mind and misunderstood, believing Ye Qi was expressing his feelings to her through the comic. Overwhelmed with emotion, she was about to confess to Ye Qi, but just as she was about to speak, Chai Ziyu suddenly burst in and interrupted them. Chai Ziyu was going to attend a mixer, but he felt nervous and unsure. Initially, Ye Qi was stuck on his comic and didn’t feel like helping Chai Ziyu.
But after Chai Ziyu brought it up, Ye Qi thought he could role-play a mixer scene to find creative inspiration. To get into character, Ye Qi immersed himself deeply in the role. Every time Chai Ziyu finished speaking, Ye Qi would take Zuo Qiandai with him to the restroom to discuss. However, no matter how they acted it out, Ye Qi and Chai Ziyu both felt it didn’t resemble a real co-ed mixer.
So they had the only girl present, Zuo Qiandai, play the role of the female participant. Ye Qi and Zuo Qiandai went out shopping together to relax and look for inspiration. Suddenly, they came across a couple in the middle of a love confession. Ye Qi took the opportunity to ask Zuo Qiandai some questions, which made her mistakenly believe that Ye Qi wanted to confess to her.
Later, when she was at the cafeteria with Zhou Jieyue, she excitedly told her the news. But instead of being happy, Zhou Jieyue was upset. She felt that Zuo Qiandai’s progress was moving too quickly while Jiang Ruosong showed no interest at all. In frustration, Zhou Jieyue invited Jiang Ruosong to a basketball match and even dominantly took over the basketball court. A boy standing on the sidelines got annoyed watching Zhou Jieyue play basketball.
Jiang Ruosong finally gathered his courage and rallied everyone to reclaim the court. Zhou Jieyue suggested that if Jiang Ruosong danced for her, she’d give up the court. In the end, Jiang Ruosong agreed, and his dance was so captivating that it moved the crowd, including Zhou Jieyue. Zuo Qiandai went to the school’s manga club, where a few girls were discussing the stories in the girls’ monthly magazine.
However, when Zuo Qiandai saw some lines in Ye Qi’s comic, she mistakenly believed that Ye Qi was using the comic to reject her, which made her very sad. To distract herself and ease the pain, she kept finding things to do. Meanwhile, Ye Qi was furious because the content in the comic was not what he intended to express—it had been secretly altered by Qian Ye. Ye Qi was confused about why Zuo Qiandai hadn’t come to help with the comic as usual and sent her a message to ask, but she didn’t respond.
