Realizing the potential for a massive payday, they begin to conspire to kidnap him, seeing it as a way to secure their financial futures and quit their jobs.
Meanwhile, Zheng Baixu's friends throw a welcome party for him and Yang Zhenzhen on a yacht to celebrate his participation in a major competition. Before the party, Baixu pockets a special ring he designed for Zhenzhen. Despite the festive atmosphere, he repeatedly loses his nerve and fails to confess his feelings. After the party, he takes Zhenzhen to a unique natural formation called the "Sky Pit."
There, he finally presents the ring, explaining that he designed it himself and that the diamond, which has a heart shape inside, is the only memento his mother left him. He asks Zhenzhen to keep it for him, but she hesitates, overwhelmed by the suddenness and the uncertain future it implies.
