During a meal, Xinyi confronted Chu Yun about a lawsuit, asking for details. Chu Yun explained that her former brokerage firm was demanding a double penalty after she sought to terminate her contract, citing that her boss was deliberately embarrassing her. Xinyi, expressing suspicion, warned Shuangshuang (Chu Yun’s lawyer) to be cautious, suggesting Chu Yun might be using the case to gain fame.

Chu Yun challenged Xinyi’s accusations, which prompted Xinyi to retort that Chu Yun was being unreasonable, reminding her of her uninvited appearance at Xinyi’s wedding and her subsequent attempt to stay in Jin Ran's room. Xinyi sternly warned Chu Yun not to cause any further harm to Yuan Lai. Ding Ang attempted to mediate the escalating argument, but eventually, everyone else made excuses and left, leaving Chu Yun alone and upset.

Later, Ding Ang spoke with Xinyi, acknowledging her desire to clear any obstacles for Yuan Lai and Jin Ran. However, he suggested that the biggest issue for the couple lay within themselves, rather than with any third party. Meanwhile, a crisis unfolded at Aimei Company. Ding Ang received an urgent call from Michelle, President Jiang's assistant, who informed him that numerous vendors were demanding returns for Aimei's phones due to recent explosion incidents.

Michelle revealed that President Jiang was utterly exhausted trying to handle the fallout but had insisted that Ding Ang not be disturbed during his honeymoon. Ding Ang and Xinyi immediately rushed to the company, where they were met by a swarm of journalists. Ding Ang, acting as the company's spokesperson and President Jiang’s son, publicly apologized to the consumers and promised that the company would take full responsibility for all damages and consequences.

He requested that the media allow him a path to resolve the issue. Inside, President Jiang watched her son’s mature handling of the situation with relief and pride. Ding Ang learned that his mother had initially dismissed his advice to recall the problematic phones, believing she could contain the scandal with hush money, only for the explosions to continue.

Ding Ang insisted on taking over the crisis management, despite his mother’s reluctance to burden him, stating it was his responsibility to the consumers he represented. Xinyi offered her expertise in media relations to assist. That evening, as Jin Ran walked Yuan Lai home, Chu Yun appeared unexpectedly. She claimed her agent had evicted her after she terminated her contract and that she had nowhere to go, insinuating she expected to stay with Jin Ran.

Yuan Lai’s mother emerged to greet Yuan Lai and was visibly dismayed and confused to see Chu Yun with Jin Ran. Furious, Jin Ran firmly told Chu Yun that his apartment was not a shelter and reiterated his unwavering love for Yuan Lai. He gave Chu Yun a bank card, instructing her to find a hotel for the night, and explicitly told her to stay away from Yuan Lai.

Inside, Yuan Lai’s mother advised Yuan Lai to maintain a distance from Jin Ran after witnessing Chu Yun’s presence. Yuan Lai then revealed that she and Jin Ran had already been separated for some time. Later, Yuan Lai's mother changed her tune, urging Yuan Lai to reconsider Jin Ran. She expressed her fear that Yuan Lai might miss out on finding her true love and suggested she be more "muddled" about other women's affairs.

Yuan Lai, however, insisted that she needed clarity on certain matters, stating she couldn’t move forward if she couldn’t reconcile them in her heart, leading her mother to jokingly attribute Yuan Lai’s stubbornness to her father. Elsewhere, Gu Sa took Alex to visit Jin Ran. Along the way, Alex recognized Chu Yun as the "weird auntie" who had given him ice cream. Noticing Jin Ran's bank card in Chu Yun's hand, Gu Sa confronted Chu Yun about taking her son.

Chu Yun claimed it was a misunderstanding, having mistakenly believed Alex was Jin Ran's child. Gu Sa then offered Chu Yun assistance, subtly suggesting that she leverage her close, long-standing relationship with Jin Ran’s mother, Mrs. Hua, who treated Chu Yun like a daughter, to gain Jin Ran's favor. Gu Sa provided Chu Yun with Mrs. Hua's contact information in Japan, as well as her own phone number.

Yuan Lai met Chengzhi to discuss Feitu's recent legal challenges, specifically how to counter Ji Aoting’s aggressive tactics of poaching staff and projects. Chengzhi advised Yuan Lai that what Jin Ran needed most was her steadfast support, emphasizing that their strong bond was essential for Feitu's stability. At a nearby coffee shop, Shuangshuang met with Chu Yun to discuss her lawsuit.

Shuangshuang recommended an out-of-court settlement, explaining that the current evidence made a judicial process less likely to succeed, and reassured Chu Yun of her professional commitment to the case despite her personal connections. As they talked, Chu Yun noticed Yuan Lai and Chengzhi leaving together, with Chengzhi helping Yuan Lai put on her jacket.

She subtly attempted to manipulate Shuangshuang by highlighting Chengzhi’s profound devotion to Yuan Lai, hinting that Chengzhi's influence was the reason for Yuan Lai's continued hesitation regarding Jin Ran. Later, Xinyi overheard Ding Ang playing a video game and calling out Chu Yun’s name. Enraged, she confronted him, accusing him of prioritizing the game over her.

Ding Ang explained that Chu Yun was a temporary replacement for an upcoming competition due to a missing player and promised to remove her from the team after the tournament was over. Xinyi demanded that he immediately remove Chu Yun from the team and keep his distance from her. Jin Ran later approached Yuan Lai, carrying a wedding bouquet. He asked her if they could start their relationship anew, expressing his unchanging love despite their past arguments and separations.

Yuan Lai accepted the bouquet but made it clear that she expected Jin Ran to definitively resolve his complicated relationship with Chu Yun. Meanwhile, Ji Aoting called Yuan Lai and drove to her apartment. He complained about the difficulties of his Lan Town project, attributing the problems to a shortage of capable staff. He then offered Yuan Lai a significant incentive—a five percent equity stake in his company—to join him.

Yuan Lai, however, firmly refused, reiterating that she would never betray Feitu. The following morning, Jin Ran and Yuan Lai went for a run together, discussing their work. Jin Ran reassured Yuan Lai of his strong resilience under pressure and encouraged her not to worry. They arrived at the office together, a sight that visibly boosted staff morale.

During the weekly meeting, Jin Ran delivered an inspiring speech, acknowledging the recent employee departures but commending the loyalty of those who remained. He announced the unexpectedly high profitability of the Peixin Island project, further energizing the team. Yuan Lai watched his confident leadership with growing satisfaction. Later, Jin Ran received a phone call from his mother, informing him that she was flying to Shanghai specifically to visit Chu Yun.

Jin Ran immediately reported this to Yuan Lai, acknowledging the delicate situation and promising to keep her informed about his mother's frequent interactions with Chu Yun, whom his mother viewed as a beloved surrogate daughter and Jin Ran's childhood sweetheart.
