He offered her assistance at Yutian should she ever need it in the future, and Du Xiaosu thanked him before leaving.
Du Xiaosu returned to her office to pack her belongings. Her colleagues expressed their sadness at her departure, and Mr. Ning tried to persuade her to reconsider. However, Du Xiaosu's decision was firm. She thanked Mr. Ning for transforming her from a rookie to a professional, promising not to bring shame upon him as his apprentice, despite not yet having found a new job. Mr. Ning welcomed her to return to Boyuan anytime she faced difficulties.
Du Xiaosu contemplated whether she should personally say goodbye to Lei Yuzheng, but feeling unsure of how to face him, she decided to leave it to fate by flipping a coin.
