Zhou Zhizhi inquired about Chairman Jiang whether Fu Yunshen had been doing well lately. Chairman Jiang mentioned that Fu Yunshen hadn't been well recently. In fact, she hoped Zhou Zhizhi would visit him. Zhou Zhizhi mentioned that she had suggested it to Fu Yunshen before, but he had refused. Chairman Jiang still wished Zhou Zhizhi would be more proactive, but Zhou Zhizhi didn't want to upset Fu Yunshen.

Zhu Jiu remembered that Fu Yunshen had once told her that he would allocate part of the Peidu project to Professor Hans for research. However, she had lost contact with him afterward. Zhu Jiu continued to deliver medicine to Fu Yunshen daily, but today he didn't answer the door, so she had to leave. Afterward, Zhu Jiu returned to the hospital and consulted a neurologist, hoping to speed up Fu Yunshen's recovery. The doctor provided her with some information, and after finishing her tasks, she returned to the villa. It turned out that the dog had run out, and Zhu Jiu discovered that Fu Yunshen had fallen. She rushed to assist him, but he became very angry and asked her to leave. Afraid to help him, Zhu Jiu sought Linda's assistance instead.

After Linda had finished, she informed Zhu Jiu that Fu Yunshen had asked her to move out. However, Zhu Jiu insisted that she wouldn't leave. Linda was relieved because it would be difficult to find another doctor to come over if Zhu Jiu left. Fu Yunshen was angry at himself, feeling useless. Despite his efforts during rehabilitation, he felt it was all in vain. He even considered giving up. Fu Yunshen wanted to stand up as soon as possible, but his current condition was not up to par with Zhu Jiu's expectations. He had once seen a glimmer of hope and had pushed himself hard during rehabilitation in China, but it had resulted in a fracture due to overexertion.

The doctor informed Chairman Jiang that Fu Yunshen's treatment was very weak at the moment. They even suggested transferring him to another hospital. Fu Yunshen had begun to lose his courage, and he even wanted to bathe by himself. Chen Le had wanted to help, but Fu Yunshen refused. As Chen Le looked at Fu Yunshen, he seemed like a soulless person. Fu Yunshen hated himself for being useless. He desperately wanted to stand up, but after many attempts with no results, he contemplated giving up. One night, Zhu Jiu heard Fu Yunshen screaming. He had a nightmare and woke up, surprised to see that Zhu Jiu was still there. Fu Yunshen told Zhu Jiu to leave, but she pretended not to hear and even offered to tell him a bedtime story. Fu Yunshen said he was tired and wanted to sleep, so Zhu Jiu covered him with a blanket and bid him goodnight. She noticed a bracelet she had given him at his bedside, which warmed her heart.

Zhou Zhizhi planned to pack her bags and visit Fu Yunshen. Gu Ruanruan wanted to inform him, but Zhou Zhizhi wanted to keep it a surprise. Zhu Jiu arrived to deliver medicine to Fu Yunshen and found him drinking alcohol. He told her not to interfere, so in anger, she drank two glasses of alcohol. Zhu Jiu ended up getting drunk that night, went to Fu Yunshen's room, and even climbed onto his bed, kissing him. Fu Yunshen couldn't stop her, so he called Linda for help. Before Linda arrived, Fu Yunshen secretly hugged Zhu Jiu. When Zhu Jiu woke up, she remembered her behavior while drunk and felt strangely happy about it.

In the morning, Linda prepared porridge for Zhu Jiu. She mentioned that Fu Yunshen actually had a good temper, but recent events had made him irritable. Fu Xizhou had sent his spy, Sun Cheng, to monitor Fu Yunshen, and he had secretly taken photos of Zhu Jiu. Sun Cheng sent the pictures to Fu Xizhou, who immediately recognized Zhu Jiu. Gu Ruanruan picked up Fu Xizhou after work and mentioned that they hadn't had a meal together for a long time. Fu Xizhou had been busy with work and had stomachaches. Gu Ruanruan used her necklace to hypnotize him to rest, and Fu Xizhou closed his eyes. Gu Ruanruan secretly kissed him and, thinking he was asleep, left with a smile. However, Fu Xizhou wasn't asleep and couldn't help but smile too. Fu Xizhou was currently living in Gu Ruanruan's house, and they had been together for a year. Their parents wanted them to have a wedding soon, but Fu Xizhou wasn't too keen on it, and Gu Ruanruan supported his decision.
