Chairman Jiang tried calling his son but couldn't reach him. His mother was also worried, asking if he had eaten properly. Zhu Jiu arrived at the hospital and asked her friend about what had happened to Fu Yunshen. She only knew that he had been in a car accident a year ago but didn't have all the details. After returning home, Zhu Jiu called Chen Le to inquire about Fu Yunshen's experiences over the past year, but Chen Le said he couldn't reveal anything due to a promise he made to his boss. Zhu Jiu couldn't understand why Fu Yunshen had disappeared suddenly and now reappeared. She wanted to know what had happened.

After Fu Yunshen woke up and learned about the loss of sensation in his legs, he was in a daze at the hospital. No matter how Chen Le tried to cheer him up, it didn't work. Chen Le saw Fu Yunshen's depressed state and suggested calling Zhu Jiu. However, Fu Yunshen refused. Chen Le was worried about Fu Yunshen's condition and messaged Zhu Jiu, begging her to take care of him. He wanted Fu Yunshen to explain the situation himself. That night, Zhu Jiu went to a bar with Ji Jingtang and ended up getting drunk. She mumbled some incoherent words, and Ji Jingtang tried to help her get back home. He told her that sometimes what one sees with their eyes might not reflect reality.

Zhu Jiu was brought home, and Ji Jingtang kindly covered her with a blanket and even prepared a cup of hot water for her before leaving. Zhu Jiu woke up in a daze at home and received a call from Linda, who wanted her to come to the villa. Fu Yunshen was in bad shape and didn't want to go to the hospital. So, Zhu Jiu stayed to take care of him. Fu Yunshen was still calling out Zhu Jiu's name in his semi-conscious state.

Fu Xizhou had been secretly monitoring Fu Yunshen's villa, and when he saw Zhu Jiu coming out of the room, he discreetly took a picture. When Fu Yunshen first woke up in the hospital, his grandfather and mother were very concerned about him. Fu Xizhou noticed that the family was showering Fu Yunshen with love and attention, which made him uncomfortable, especially since his own mother had recently passed away. Zhu Jiu went to the supermarket and bought things for the little dog, as well as made medicine for Fu Yunshen. However, he found various excuses not to take the medicine and even threw the bowl on the ground. Since Fu Yunshen was abroad, his grandfather felt the house was very empty. Although Fu Xizhou often came back to have meals with his grandfather, things felt different. Fu Xizhou also told him that the promotion to deputy general manager might be postponed, which disappointed his grandfather.

Since Zhu Jiu heard Fu Yunshen call her name the night before, she was determined to stay and take care of him, despite his difficult behavior. Zhu Jiu understood that Fu Yunshen was angry but tried to remain patient. She even asked Chen Le to send her the medical records and hoped that Fu Yunshen would eventually recover. Chairman Jiang had been trying to cure his son's illness, but Fu Yunshen was uncooperative, refusing to eat properly, and it was taking a toll on his mother. All Chairman Jiang could do was find the best doctors for his son. Fu Yunshen had become his mother's hope, and witnessing her suffering, he finally agreed to undergo treatment. Zhou Zhizhi often went to the temple to pray for Fu Yunshen's recovery. Chairman Jiang would also invite her for meals and chat. Chairman Jiang wanted Zhou Zhizhi to join his company's research and development, but she declined, focusing solely on Fu Yunshen's recovery.
