Xie Lingqi and Wu Shiwei bravely intercepted the demonized disciples, buying crucial time for Luo Ge to open a rift in the barrier. Luo Ge urged He Na to leave first, entrusting Liu Shao to his care. Luo Ge then declared his intent to remain behind in the Yin-yang Cave to cleanse the rampant evil spirit.

Acknowledging their duty as Immortal Palace disciples, Wu Shiwei and Xie Lingqi wholeheartedly offered their assistance, joining Luo Ge in setting up a powerful formation. Liu Shao awoke to find herself in the demon palace. Upon learning that Luo Ge had not emerged from the cave, she became frantic. Although Luo Ge communicated with her through the Wang Bell, his weakened voice only heightened her anxiety.

Unable to rest, Liu Shao resolved to return to the Yin-yang Cave to find him. He Na, sensing her determination, suggested she seek assistance from Shang Yurong, whose father had originally sealed the cave. Meanwhile, the Immortal Master, having learned of the events, was furious, scolding Liu Shao for breaking her promise not to see Luo Ge and for inadvertently causing Luo Ge to be trapped in the Yin-yang Cave.

He questioned her ability to bear the responsibility if Luo Ge's cultivation was further damaged. Simultaneously, A Fu, Luo Ning's brother, remained unrepentant. Knowing the relationship between Luo Ge and Luo Ning, he still wished for Luo Ge's death in the Yin-yang Cave, believing Luo Ge's disappearance would benefit the Aquatic Demon tribe, even if it meant disappointing Luo Ning. Luo Ning, relieved to hear of the Yin-yang Cave's resolution, noticed He Na's serious injuries.

She offered to heal him with the Bone-Corroding Harp. He Na, however, courteously declined, instead pleading with her to break the curse afflicting his Aquatic Demons. Luo Ning attempted to play the harp but found herself inexplicably powerless, wondering if she was deemed unworthy. Back in the Yin-yang Cave, Xie Lingqi and Wu Shiwei had been working with Luo Ge to set up the Tian Kui Formation.

During their efforts, they searched for an antidote for the Moon Poison afflicting Wu Shiwei. Despite finding several bottles, Wu Shiwei's condition remained critical; the poison, having deeply penetrated her bones over a thousand years, threatened to make her lose her mind and potentially harm those around her, as she had nearly done to Xie Lingqi before Luo Ge intervened.

Despite her struggle to maintain a fragile consciousness through mind-clearing cultivation, she bravely reassured Xie Lingqi that with Luo Ge's presence, they would be fine. Luo Ge, sensing Liu Shao’s presence through the Wang Bell, was surprised to find her accompanied by Shang Yurong.

Shang Yurong attempted to open a rift in the barrier using his Burning Sea technique, while Liu Shao, with great effort, unleashed the Crown Wheel, a divine artifact of the Sun, combining their powers to widen the crack. As more demonized disciples, driven by a desperate urge to escape their thousand-year confinement, swarmed towards the opening, Wu Shiwei sacrificed herself to shield Xie Lingqi. Her body dissipated, leaving only a wisp of immortal energy.

Overwhelmed with grief, Xie Lingqi desperately pleaded with Luo Ge to save her, but Luo Ge, despite his power, was unable to intervene, explaining that Wu Shiwei had saved all their fellow disciples with her sacrifice. Heartbroken, Xie Lingqi chose to return to the Bone Melting Pool for self-reflection, determined to remain the righteous man Wu Shiwei had believed him to be.

He presented Luo Ge with the Sun Spring he and Wu Shiwei had collected, asking Luo Ge to use it for his own recovery as a final contribution from Wu Shiwei to the Three Realms. Witnessing Xie Lingqi's profound devotion and Wu Shiwei's tragic fate, Liu Shao contemplated her own connection to Luo Ge. This solidified her resolve to seal the Sun divine spirit within herself, despite Luo Ge being unaware of her intentions.

Luo Ge, meanwhile, tasked Wansui, an ancient master, with finding powerful ancient medicines to enhance Liu Shao's spiritual energy and boost her cultivation. Wansui struggled with the difficult task, pointing out the extreme rarity of some items, such as the Baffling Star Stone, a rare item from the Demon King's collection ten thousand years ago, and the Clear Vine from the Bone Melting Pool, which requires divine power to retrieve.

Wansui also questioned if such powerful enhancements might exacerbate the spiritual incompatibility between Luo Ge and Liu Shao. Luo Ning, after her failed attempt with the Bone-Corroding Harp, pondered the curse. She realized it stemmed from the ancient Demon King and Immortal Ze Shui, leading her to believe the Brahma Tree might hold the secret. Though she sensed the tree spirit's presence and its friendliness, it remained silent.

Determined to break the curse, Luo Ning decided to return to the Immortal Palace to consult her brother and the elders. A Fu, who had tried to keep her in the Aquatic Demon realm, was vexed by her departure, especially after she warned him not to emulate the ancient Demon King. Alone, he decided that when Luo Ning next visited, he would first appease her and then discuss marriage with his brother.

Liu Shao learned that sealing the divine spirit would require the assistance of three immortals with cultivation above the general rank. While Shang Yurong had agreed to help, she was unsure how to persuade Zhuo Qiuxian. Wansui suggested that Shang Yurong speak with Zhuo Qiuxian, noting that Zhuo Qiuxian had been particularly kind to Shang Yurong recently. Coincidentally, He Na sought an audience with Luo Ge.

He proposed a future of peace and mutual restraint between the Immortal and Demon realms. Luo Ge expressed his desire for such a future but clearly stated his awareness of A Fu's transgressions, indicating that while he considered He Na a friend, he would not perpetually tolerate A Fu's actions, which were causing turmoil. He Na understood Luo Ge's message. Luo Ge then asked He Na if he knew anything about the Baffling Star Stone for Liu Shao. Upon returning to his realm, He Na used his formidable Demon King's power to search for the elusive item, causing the Brahma Tree to glow with his intense spiritual energy.
