Following their reunion at Moon River, Liu Shao found Luo Ge, who had lost all his memories after jumping into tribulation in the previous episode. Luo Ge vaguely recalled being pulled from the water and telling a lake demon story, where he gave a pearl to a girl. Liu Shao confirmed she was that girl, identified herself, and called him Luo Ge, reminding him of his name and how they met, mentioning his nickname "Moon on the Willow Tip."

Liu Shao urgently asked how they could break the Soul-devouring Spell, which Luo Ge no longer remembered. Luo Ge mentioned a floating sensation and feeling that he owed someone, leading him to grab something (the pearl). He apologized, thinking he had broken a treasure Lu Li left for her, but Liu Shao corrected him, stating that she was the one who owed him. To appease her, Luo Ge offered her all his possessions, begging her not to cry.

Liu Shao then playfully reminded him of Lu Li's promise to stay with her forever for one copper coin, asserting that he couldn't break his word. Liu Shao urged him to reclaim his immortal status and resolve the Soul-devouring Spell. However, Luo Ge expressed no memory of such things and revealed he had no desire to return to the life of a revered Immortal, preferring the tranquil existence of an ordinary mortal he now experienced.

He pleaded with Liu Shao to remain with him in the mortal world. Liu Shao, pained to see him suffer due to her Sun Fragments, conceded that their destiny might not allow them to be together. She then decided to take him to witness the dire state of the Three Realms, hoping it would reawaken his sense of responsibility. Soon after, they encountered a chaotic scene where Wang Jian and Xue were under attack by demons.

Luo Ge, being a mortal, was unable to wield any magic, even struggling against minor demons. Liu Shao swiftly intervened, defeating the attackers. Wang Jian and Xue, impressed by Liu Shao’s power, expressed concern over Luo Ge's apparent loss of abilities. Liu Shao explained that Luo Ge had encountered issues during his cultivation and currently had no magical powers.

Wang Jian and Xue recounted how they had been investigating the recent disappearances in the city, discovering that demons were stealing true essence from mortals and ambushing people. Luo Ge lamented his inability to protect them anymore, relying solely on their protection. Wang Jian assured him that he had already protected many, and the entire human world was indebted to him for his past deeds. At this point, Shang Yurong arrived, seeking Liu Shao.

Luo Ge, not recognizing him, jokingly referred to Shang Yurong as a "flower peacock" wearing too much makeup, which Shang Yurong vehemently denied, affirming his natural beauty. Shang Yurong pulled Liu Shao aside, informing her of a crisis: the Four Seasons Monument was leaking evil spirits due to Luo Ge's absence. He explained that only Liu Shao's Blood Amulet could suppress these malevolent forces, and he needed to extract a talisman pearl from her.

This pearl, he stated, would only buy the Three Realms three days of peace, urging Liu Shao to help Luo Ge complete his tribulation within that timeframe, or the monument would spiral out of control. Despite acknowledging the unfairness of the request, Shang Yurong emphasized the urgency, as no other method existed. Liu Shao agreed to provide the pearl and help Luo Ge remember his past.

As Shang Yurong prepared to extract the pearl, Luo Ge approached, calling Liu Shao's name. Fearing her cries of pain would distress him, Liu Shao requested Shang Yurong cast a silencing spell on her. After the fifth talisman pearl was removed, Liu Shao became extremely weak. When Luo Ge saw her condition, she feigned a fall and asked him to carry her.

He did so, while Wang Jian and Xue expressed indignation towards Shang Yurong for hurting Liu Shao, urging Luo Ge to take revenge on him once his powers returned, to which Luo Ge agreed. Later, outside Marquis Wuyang's Mansion, the disciples, who had been waiting, immediately knelt to Luo Ge, hailing him as Senior Lu and Immortal Luo Ge.

They thanked him for rebuilding the Mansion's barrier after it was occupied by the Demon Realm, which had saved the mortal world from becoming a demon domain and allowed its elites to recuperate. Liu Shao hoped this recognition would jog Luo Ge's memory, but he remained oblivious, instead pondering how ordinary mortal couples lived. He inquired with Wang Jian about their simple lifestyle, which Luo Ge found appealing, suggesting they build huts, farm, and raise animals.

Liu Shao, however, internally worried about when Luo Ge would reclaim his true identity. Meanwhile, He Na, the White-robed Demon King, arrived at the Immortal Palace, demanding the release of his brother, A Fu Jun, in accordance with a previous agreement to subdue the four demon tribes. The Immortal Palace explained that Luo Ge was in closed-door tribulation and they could not make decisions on his behalf.

He Na insisted, citing the interconnectedness of the Three Realms and the instability caused by Luo Ge's absence, referencing the sinking of West Yin Mountain. The Immortal Palace representative (implied to be Shang Yurong) then revealed that A Fu Jun had escaped and was not in the palace, showing He Na an item belonging to Luo Ning, suspecting A Fu Jun had abducted her. He Na promised to find A Fu Jun and provide an explanation.

Back in the mortal world, with the help of Wang Jian and Xue, Luo Ge and Liu Shao settled into a quaint farmyard with chickens, rabbits, and fruit trees, enjoying the simple life. Luo Ge expressed his delight in this new experience, despite never having lived such a life before.

Liu Shao tried to remind him of his responsibilities, but Luo Ge insisted he was a mortal and only wanted to protect those he cared for, deeming the burden of the Three Realms too heavy. Meanwhile, A Fu Jun and Luo Ning, who were together in the mortal world, found themselves at a Dusting Festival. Luo Ning lamented her inability to find her brother, Luo Ge.

A Fu Jun, eager to please her, offered to buy her any fan she desired, but Luo Ning, amused by his protectiveness, chose a Demon King mask, and A Fu Jun chose a comically ugly one, claiming it would scare away any potential suitors. Later, at a tea house, Luo Ning expressed a craving for almond cake, and A Fu Jun went to buy it for her.

A fortune teller approached Luo Ning, offering to help her find the person she sought. However, the situation took a dark turn when a small demon, intending to seize her immortal essence for Ao Yin, attacked Luo Ning, taking half of her immortal energy. A Fu Jun discovered her in immense pain. The White-robed Demon King (He Na) arrived, interrogating the small demon about who instigated it to collect true essence and cause chaos.

The demon then transformed into an evil spirit and escaped, leading He Na to suspect a connection to the entity beneath the Four Seasons Monument. He Na attempted to take Luo Ning back to the Immortal Palace, but A Fu Jun staunchly refused, stating that Luo Ning had a special connection to the Aquatic Tribe and he intended to protect her.

He Na then discovered blood beads from Luo Ning, realizing she was the true heir of Immortal Ze Shui, possessing the power to lift their clan's curse. Despite A Fu Jun's efforts to heal Luo Ning with common medicine, she remained weak, her true essence severely damaged. She urged A Fu Jun to send her back to the Immortal Palace, fearing her continued presence would endanger him.

A Fu Jun, however, insisted on caring for her, claiming he brought her there and would cure her himself, dismissing fears of the Immortal Palace. As A Fu Jun tried to comfort Luo Ning, the voice of the God of the Moonlight, who was possessing Xie Lingqi, spoke to him, boasting that Luo Ning's half-true essence had greatly strengthened him.

A Fu Jun, realizing the God of the Moonlight was behind the recent demonic activities, sternly warned him to never harm Luo Ning again and reminded him of a past promise. The God of the Moonlight mockingly called A Fu Jun a "brat" and vowed to teach him about the hierarchy of king and subordinate. Back at the farm, Luo Ge continued to relish his simple life, tending to animals and plants.

Liu Shao, though trying to appear content, was increasingly anxious. On the third day, she gently probed Luo Ge about his memories, reminding him of their past experiences. Luo Ge confessed that since arriving, he felt he was searching for something, and he found it the moment he saw her. He reiterated his desire to remain a mortal with her, rejecting the idea of becoming an Immortal again.

Liu Shao pleaded with him to acknowledge his responsibilities, reminding him of his power to control the Three Realms if he embraced his true identity. She then asked where she would be if he were to return to the Immortal Palace. Luo Ge, focused on their present happiness, refused to undergo the tribulation. Liu Shao urged him to reconsider, asking for just three more days.

Luo Ge remained resolute, declaring that his answer would be the same even in three or thirty years—he only wished to be a mortal. Liu Shao, desperate, then stated that if he still couldn't remember, she would have to help him fulfill his responsibilities.

Simultaneously, at the Immortal Palace, Shang Yurong reported that the talisman pearl extracted from Liu Shao had only held the Four Seasons Monument for three days, and the formation was now weakening because it lacked an "eye of formation." He explained that Liu Shao, despite her lower cultivation, possessed the Power of the Sun, allowing her to act as the formation's anchor, especially since the array was originally set by Luo Ge.

He warned that guarding the eye was perilous due to the array's corruption by evil spirits. Zhuo Qiuxian stepped forward, volunteering to take Liu Shao's place as the eye of the formation. She then instructed Shang Yurong to find Luo Ge and impress upon him the gravity of his tribulation, emphasizing that he must complete it.

If he failed, Shang Yurong was to extract the sixth talisman pearl from Liu Shao, despite the severe threat it posed to Liu Shao's life. Zhuo Qiuxian also promised to bring healing herbs, Ancient Herb and Glazed Fruit, for Liu Shao.
