Following his manipulation of Bai Feng, Fu had her place a glass bottle containing his water essence into Luo Ning's room, which Luo Ning unintentionally released him from. Fu appeared before Luo Ning, revealing that Liu Shao and Immortal Luo Ge were responsible for her master Lu Sheng's death, noting Lu Sheng's involvement in the Luositai incident as a shared reason for their hatred. Luo Ning found this hard to believe.

Fu promised not to reveal the demon energy within her body, suggesting she visit him every two days as "the enemy of my enemy is my friend." When Fu presented her with a belated birthday wish, Luo Ning grew even more suspicious of his intentions, noting his cleverness and thick skin. She used her magic to hold him in place, intending to play a game to see how long he could maintain his form with his limited water energy.

An hour later, she noticed cracks appearing on his face, remembering that Aquatic Demons cannot survive long outside of water. Fu, his appearance deteriorating, excused himself, finding the situation unseemly. Luo Ning found him quite interesting despite his nature. After awakening, Liu Shao arranged magically conjured Weiyang flowers in Palace Chonghua, believing they symbolized eternal love and a lifelong commitment. Luo Ge arrived to guide her cultivation.

He began by attempting to break through her Qihai, explaining that the vitality of the mortal world and the spiritual power of the Immortal Palace were fundamentally similar, and this process would allow her to practice Immortal Palace magic. During the process, Liu Shao asked if Luo Ge was alright, to which he quickly dismissed her concern, claiming to be fine.

He explained that the Lake Bracelet Lu Li had given her absorbed some of the powerful force, protecting her but shattering itself in the process. Liu Shao, seeing the broken bracelet, reassured him that his presence was all that mattered. Luo Ge then stated that the Sun Supreme God's power in her body was unique and required careful consideration, informing her he would enter seclusion for a few days and asked her to rest.

After Liu Shao left, Luo Ge collapsed, coughing up blood. The Immortal Master later confronted Luo Ge, revealing that Liu Shao's divine spirit was of the Sun Supreme God (extremely yang) and Luo Ge's power was of the Moonlight God (extremely yin), making them naturally mutually destructive. This, he asserted, was the true reason for Luo Ge's worsening injuries.

He chastised Luo Ge for risking his life to protect Liu Shao, stating that without his intervention, even with the Lake Pearl's protection, she would have been utterly destroyed. Liu Shao, deeply worried by Luo Ge's deteriorating condition, sought out Wansui. She suspected his issues stemmed not from old injuries but from problems with his cultivation, noting his inability to dispel the Brahma Lotus poison, his unhealed sword wound, and his self-inflicted injury while helping her with Qihai.

Wansui confirmed that ascending Immortals were rare in the past ten thousand years and had short lifespans, citing Shang Yurong's father as an example, who only served as an Immortal for two hundred years. As they spoke, Shang Yurong appeared. Wansui, embarrassed to be caught gossiping, fled. Shang Yurong then took a Weiyang flower from Liu Shao, claiming it was his senior sister's favorite, and offered her a hairpin in return.

However, when he presented the flower to Zhuo Qiuxian, she misunderstood his intentions, scolding him for neglecting his cultivation and chasing him away. Despite the challenges, Liu Shao and Wansui diligently searched for a solution. They discovered an ancient scroll describing the Weirui Grass, which could grant infinite vitality and help Luo Ge transform and be reborn.

Wansui revealed he possessed the only known seed, explaining that it could sprout in just three days if nurtured with mediated extreme yin and yang energies. Before they could find someone to mediate these energies, Luo Ge summoned Liu Shao to Palace Chonghua and presented her with the "Ice Spirit" mantra. Luo Ge stated it could help her open her Qihai and achieve enlightenment.

Liu Shao realized the mantra aimed to harmonize her Sun Supreme God's extreme yang energy with extreme yin power, potentially creating the yin-yang harmonized energy Wansui had mentioned. However, Luo Ge then offered her a cup containing Phoenix Tears, left by the Sun Supreme God, explaining that they would erase all memories related to love, allowing for smoother cultivation. Liu Shao fiercely refused, stating she didn't want cultivation if it meant forgetting Lu Li, and shattered the cup.

The Immortal Master immediately appeared, striking her down. Liu Shao, despite being injured, vehemently refused to forget Lu Li. Luo Ge, to convince her that he was not Lu Li, revealed his neck, showing no sign of the Soul-devouring Spell, which Lu Li had been afflicted with until death. The Immortal Master tried to strike Liu Shao again, but Luo Ge stepped in front of her, protecting her.

Enraged, the Immortal Master reiterated that their clashing spiritual powers would only bring mutual harm, stating that Liu Shao's presence would doom Luo Ge and destroy hope for the three realms. Shocked by the revelation that she was unknowingly harming Luo Ge, Liu Shao decided to leave the Immortal Palace forever, never to see him again.

She requested three days to remain in the Immortal Palace to complete one final task, which the Immortal Master granted, but forbade her from returning to Xiyin Mountain and instructed his attendants to monitor her closely. Shortly after, Bai Feng, taking advantage of no one being around, cast a spell to harm Liu Shao, accusing her of being deceitful and planning to return to Luo Ge despite the Immortal Master's orders. Zhuo Qiuxian and Shang Yurong intervened.

Zhuo Qiuxian sharply reprimanded Bai Feng for misinterpreting orders and taking personal revenge, mentioning Bai Feng's past misconduct at Wuyang Hou Mansion, slapping her, and warning her to behave respectfully within the Immortal Palace. She then coldly told Liu Shao that her intervention was for the Immortal Palace's sake, not for her. After Bai Feng was sent away, Liu Shao sought out Wansui, confiding her broken dream of a simple life with Luo Ge in the Immortal Palace.

She then requested the Weirui Grass seed, hoping to cultivate it in the mortal world for Luo Ge's well-being. Meanwhile, Luo Ning had been longing for Fu's return since his earlier departure. When Fu suddenly reappeared, making her delighted, he offered her an ugly doll he crafted from his own clothes. Luo Ning, though outwardly critical of the doll's appearance, found the story behind it amusing – how Fu's brother had once lost an equally ugly doll he made.

They bonded over their shared sentiment that their brothers should belong solely to them, not to their clans or the three realms. Fu then playfully offered to be her "older brother" (since he was exactly 1000 years old and she was "almost" 1000), which Luo Ning, while playfully challenging his motives, accepted. She then tasked him with helping her memorize all her cultivation scriptures for the month, which he obediently accepted and diligently recited, impressing her.

In the demon realm, various demons brought collected demon energy to Bai Feng for her cultivation. One demon presented demon energy horrifyingly refined from an Aquatic Demon baby less than an hour old. Bai Feng was furious at this atrocity and was about to reprimand them when a haunting Melody Flute sound filled the air, causing agonizing pain and suffering to the demons. Taking advantage of the chaos, Bai Feng escaped.

The Demon King in White, He Na, appeared, asserting his dominance over the demon race and declaring himself the new king. He announced his first rule: anyone who harmed children, regardless of their race or allegiance, would be killed without mercy. The demon who offered the baby's demon energy perished instantly, establishing He Na's authority. Separately, Fu learned from an associate that Bai Feng failed to find a formation to break Luo Ge's barrier from Lu Sheng's belongings.

Realizing he had to take a dangerous route, Fu explained his plan: he had been accumulating water essence at the Waterside Pavilion for Reflections, intending to use his physical body to summon his divine spirit and force it through the barrier. He acknowledged the immense risk of his divine spirit fragmenting, which would lead to a terrible death. He then revealed that Luo Ning was the key to his full escape.

He explained that a "star" that fell on Luo Ning when the Bone-Corroding Harp reappeared was in fact the remaining spiritual power of the Harp, recognizing her as the descendant of Immortal Ze Shui, much like Liu Shao carries the Sun Supreme God's divine spirit. He believed Luo Ge had known this and had compelled Luo Ning to copy scriptures from a young age to calm her mind and mitigate the potential influence of Ze Shui's hatred.

Fu intended to gamble on Luo Ning's ability to heal him, as the Bone-Corroding Harp was rumored to heal all wounds, but admitted that winning her heart would be a challenge. In a secluded conversation, the Immortal Master observed Luo Ge's improved complexion, noting his self-imposed "seclusion." Luo Ge dismissed it as mere recuperation from a previous injury.

The Immortal Master, however, saw through his pretense, pointing out that Luo Ge was not recuperating but instead creating the "Ice Spirit" mantra for Liu Shao, which was only exacerbating his injuries. He challenged Luo Ge, questioning Liu Shao's importance compared to Luo Ge's own well-being and the safety of the Immortal Palace. Luo Ge then asked the Immortal Master to visit.

During their conversation, the Immortal Master offered Luo Ge wine, observing that he never drank, and suggested it was because he feared facing the side of himself that was Lu Li. When Luo Ge eventually asked about Liu Shao, the Immortal Master feigned ignorance before revealing he had sent her to Wansui, assuring Luo Ge that Wansui would take good care of her.
