The monthly company dinner draw selects Li Huizhen to host, but Bai Haoyu steps in to treat everyone, subtly helping Li Huizhen save money, though colleagues speculate about his motives. Meanwhile, Han Xue overhears Lin Husheng discussing work with his father, deducing he is likely the chairman's son, and quickly sets her sights on pursuing him, a realization Lin Hao observes. Xia Qiao, furthering her deception, takes a puzzle piece from Li Huizhen’s room before meeting Bai Haoyu for dinner.
During their meal, Xia Qiao's adoptive mother spots them and overhears Bai Haoyu calling Xia Qiao "Huizhen," raising her suspicions. Xia Qiao then presents the puzzle piece to Bai Haoyu, claiming she found it in her old home. This gesture dispels all of Bai Haoyu's doubts, firmly convincing him that Xia Qiao is the Li Huizhen he has been searching for. While Xia Qiao is in the restroom, she encounters her adoptive mother, who confronts her about impersonating Li Huizhen.
Deeply unsettled and desperate to avoid disappointing Bai Haoyu, Xia Qiao implores her adoptive mother to keep her secret, even humbling herself to pick up a dropped bag. Overwhelmed by guilt, Xia Qiao struggles to focus on dinner. Sensing her distress, Bai Haoyu reassures her, embracing her and pledging to protect her regardless of how she believes she has changed, affirming that in his heart, she is his Li Huizhen.
After dinner, Xia Qiao realizes she has lost a bracelet Bai Haoyu gave her and returns to the restaurant to search, but cannot find it. Bai Haoyu, not wanting her to be upset, offers to buy her a new one.
Unaware of Xia Qiao's deception, Bai Haoyu also performs a subtle act of kindness for the real Li Huizhen; after noticing she missed out on the complimentary foundation provided by a client, he secretly places one on her desk while she is working late. The next day, Li Huizhen buys Xia Qiao a new lipstick as a kind gesture.
Xia Qiao, seeing the missing bracelet and overcome with guilt, almost confesses her secret to Li Huizhen but ultimately cannot bring herself to do so, instead lying that she lost the bracelet at the gym. Later, Li Huizhen warmly greets Bai Haoyu at work, but he responds with marked coldness, his heart now solely fixed on Xia Qiao as his "Li Huizhen." Simultaneously, Vivian continues to express her disappointment in Li Huizhen's unkempt appearance, urging her to change and become more fashionable, much like Zhu Ying, who transformed her style.
