Li Zhicheng brought Lin Qian to a salon, excitedly suggesting he do her makeup. Despite admitting it was his first time, he insisted he could do it. He began applying makeup to her face, resulting in a comical, exaggerated look. Lin Qian was dismayed by her reflection, but Li Zhicheng reassured her that she was always the most beautiful in his eyes, and he wanted to remember this moment. He then unexpectedly pulled out a ring and proposed.

Lin Qian cried, initially protesting the timing due to her appearance, but upon seeing the surprise, she was both touched and amused. Others, who had been hiding, emerged to congratulate them. Lin Qian extended her hand, signaling for Li Zhicheng to place the ring on her finger. At H Magazine, Grace discovered that Lisa had modified her editorial layout. She immediately summoned Lisa, sternly rebuking her for disrespecting her work and for arranging an exclusive interview and advertisement for DP.

Grace emphasized that DP was accused of plagiarism in China, and H Magazine would never partner with such an unethical company. Lisa scoffed, highlighting that DP's advertising fees alone surpassed those of ten smaller, "ethical" businesses, suggesting Grace's declining annual sales were due to her rigid stance. Grace accused Lisa of pursuing profit without principles, and their argument ended with no resolution. Chen Zheng was troubled by Simeiqi's drastically falling sales since DP acquired a stake in the company.

He confronted Peter, who dismissed it as a "headquarter's adjustment" to Simeiqi's market positioning. Chen Zheng countered that Simeiqi's products had been taken offline without his knowledge, but Peter coldly told him to make an appointment for future visits. Meanwhile, Li Zhicheng and Gu Yanzhi, while observing DP's new stores, also included Xinbaorui's physical stores in their assessment. They realized that Peter's strategy was to first dismantle Simeiqi, then challenge Xinbaorui, and finally confront Wenda.

To thwart Peter's scheme, Li Zhicheng instructed Gu Yanzhi to meet with Chen Zheng and Ning Weikai to strategize. Seeking to further her own agenda, Lisa met with Peter. Peter intentionally disclosed details about Grace's past investment in Aida and subsequent withdrawal, hinting that her actions might have been for personal gain, possibly due to a romantic involvement with Aida's president's brother, Li Zhiqian. Peter encouraged Lisa to use this information to seize the position of China editor from Grace.

Believing Grace had used the company for her private interests, Lisa immediately sought to win over Chairman Wu, a major shareholder, who was easily swayed by her charm and promised his support. Lin Qian brought Li Zhicheng home to discuss strategies against DP. To her surprise, her older brother, Lin Mochen, had returned from America. Panicked, Lin Qian urged Li Zhicheng to hide. After a brief chat, Lin Qian cautiously revealed Li Zhicheng's marriage proposal, hoping for her brother's approval.

Lin Mochen immediately opposed the idea. Before Lin Qian could argue, Li Zhicheng emerged, introduced himself to Lin Mochen as Lin Qian's fiancé and Wenda's President, and sincerely requested his consent, inviting him to meet his father. Lin Mochen, maintaining a distant demeanor, agreed to arrange a meeting during his next visit to China, merely out of decorum. The next morning, Grace arrived at the H Magazine office to find it filled with DP promotional displays.

Her assistant confirmed that Lisa had approved an exclusive interview with Peter that day, despite Grace's explicit refusal. Grace confronted Lisa, reiterating her stance against interviewing an "unqualified" entity and asserting her authority as Chief Editor. Lisa, with a smile, whispered that Grace was only Chief Editor "for now." Grace then called Chairman Wu to the office. Chairman Wu, already swayed by Lisa, sided with her.

Lisa then openly challenged Grace, bringing up her past investment in Aida and implying an inappropriate relationship with Li Zhiqian. Grace explained that the Aida investment and its withdrawal were board decisions, but Lisa stubbornly insisted Grace had acted out of personal motives to help her "lover's brother." Chairman Wu advised Grace to tolerate Lisa's actions to maintain relations with the US headquarters. Frustrated by the situation and seeking to avoid further conflict, Grace requested a six-month leave.

Later, Ning Weikai saw Grace in the parking garage. He had heard about her troubles with Lisa and her decision to take leave. He expressed his unwavering support, but Grace, still deeply affected by the situation, offered no response. Gu Yanzhi met Chen Zheng to discuss a potential app project, hoping to leverage Chen Zheng's experience with the Simeiqi app.

Chen Zheng estimated the investment and operational costs would be around twenty million yuan, which surprised Gu Yanzhi, who said he would need to discuss it with Li Jinyuan. Growing impatient with Li Zhicheng's absence, Chen Zheng prepared to leave. Li Zhicheng then arrived and directly proposed a collaboration between Simeiqi and Wenda to counter Peter, asserting it was the only way to save Simeiqi. Chen Zheng remained deep in thought, not immediately responding.

Zhu Hanchong arranged a meeting for Chairman Zhu and Peter to discuss a potential partnership. However, Chairman Zhu vehemently rejected Peter's offer, declaring that as long as he lived, Xinbaorui would never collaborate with DP. He chastised Zhu Hanchong for his involvement. That evening, Zhu Hanjing invited Ning Weikai to dinner at their home. Ning Weikai accepted. Before dinner, Chairman Zhu privately asked Ning Weikai about his feelings for Zhu Hanjing, expressing his earnest wish for them to be together. Ning Weikai hesitated, offering no clear answer. After Ning Weikai left, Chairman Zhu sadly remarked to Zhu Hanjing that Ning Weikai's heart was not with her.
