Amidst a pouring rain in Linhai City, Chen Zheng, feeling smug, called his father to report their victory. Meanwhile, at Aida, Lin Qian found Li Zhicheng lost in thought. He shared his concern about a bet he made with Ning Weikai and Chen Zheng: if Aida lost the 520 sales battle, he would have to quit the company. He was worried about who could lead Aida in his stead.
Li Zhicheng confided his long-standing suspicion that Ning Weikai was somehow involved in his brother's death, a revelation that deeply saddened and surprised Lin Qian. He explained that Ning Weikai had taken a major order from Wenda right after his brother's passing. Lin Qian wondered if her designs had contributed to their performance, but Li Zhicheng reassured her, praising her Chinese-inspired creations and stating that her presence was the greatest help he needed. The 520 Shopping Festival officially concluded.
Although Y-Fancy's sales didn't surpass Xinbaorui and Simeiqi, they far exceeded their pre-sale expectations, marking a significant success for the new brand. Soon after, Ning Weikai received an urgent call from Gao Lang about an issue at one of their warehouses. Ning Weikai rushed to the location, only to discover the warehouse was flooded due to heavy rain, with twenty percent of their stock damaged.
Gao Lang explained the warehouse's poor location at the back of a mountain, in a low-lying area, and that Chen Zheng had chosen it. Ning Weikai grew anxious when he couldn't reach Chen Zheng. The warehouse manager then presented a contract, revealing that Wasp had initially rented the warehouse, but Chen Zheng later took it over at a higher price. Ning Weikai suddenly realized he had fallen into Li Zhicheng's trap.
News quickly spread about the losses suffered by Xinbaorui and Simeiqi due to the flooded warehouse. Grace called Li Zhicheng, asking if Aida was celebrating turning loss into victory. Late that night, Chen Zheng was reprimanded by his father, who informed him about the flooded warehouse and how Aida had outsmarted both him and Ning Weikai.
Chen Zheng's father criticized his repeated failures and announced that, starting tomorrow, Chen Zheng was to reflect at home and would no longer manage the company. Ning Weikai confronted Li Zhicheng, accusing him of being a hypocrite and expressing regret for not having recruited Lin Qian to his company. He lambasted Li Zhicheng for using the warehouse as bait, causing immense losses for Xinbaorui. Li Zhicheng, however, denied any manipulation of Xinbaorui's warehouse.
At a board meeting, Zhu Hanchong highlighted that Xinbaorui's 520 sales were 17. 2% lower than usual and significantly behind Y-Fancy's final results. He then pressed Ning Weikai to honor his earlier promise to resign if Xinbaorui didn't secure the top spot. Ning Weikai accepted the outcome, stating he would keep his word. Zhu Hanchong, who was recommended as the next CEO, then mocked Ning Weikai about his executive bonus.
As Ning Weikai left the company, he threw his belongings into a trash bin. Zhu Hanjing chased after him, offering to speak to her father on his behalf. Ning Weikai thanked her but declined, saying it was his responsibility. She then embraced him, openly expressing her affection. Ning Weikai gently pushed her away, expressing his gratitude but maintaining that some matters couldn't be forced.
He offered to stay in touch as friends, but she pressed him on why he rejected her. Zhu Hanjing later confronted her father, Zhu Dong, about allowing Zhu Hanchong to force Ning Weikai out. Zhu Dong calmly explained that Ning Weikai's departure was merely a temporary strategy, a "long break" to show people he'd learned his lesson.
He planned to bring Ning Weikai back once Zhu Hanchong proved incapable, as he intended for Xinbaorui to ultimately be managed by Zhu Hanjing. Back at Aida, Li Zhicheng asked Wasp if he had intentionally orchestrated the warehouse incident. Wasp admitted to setting up the trap to trick Chen Zheng and make him lose money, unaware the warehouse was prone to flooding.
Li Zhicheng, reminding Wasp of his military background, stated that acting without orders would incur punishment, and sent him home for a period of reflection. Aida held a celebration for the 520 Shopping Festival. Gu Yanzhi announced that Y-Fancy had become Weipinhui's most popular trendy brand and had secured the top spot in sales in Linhai City's apparel industry.
In a heartwarming moment, Li Zhicheng took Lin Qian's hand and publicly announced their romantic relationship, to the surprise and enthusiastic cheers of their colleagues. He then followed with another announcement: Aida's next strategic move would be to open ten Y-Fancy physical stores in Linhai City and its surrounding areas. Gu Yanzhi took Li Jinyuan to play golf, patiently teaching her the basics.
Chen Zheng, passing by, stopped to mock Gu Yanzhi, asking if Aida was now running a golf tutoring class. Li Jinyuan told him to leave, but Chen Zheng challenged them to a bet: the loser would have to give up the green and drink water from the lake. Li Jinyuan fearlessly accepted the challenge. After the game, Li Jinyuan lost. Chen Zheng aggressively demanded she fulfill the bet, threatening her to drink the lake water or crawl to her car.
As Li Jinyuan raised the bottle, Gu Yanzhi swiftly intervened, snatching it from her hand and quickly drinking all the lake water himself. Zhu Hanjing met Ning Weikai again, urging him to return to Xinbaorui, explaining her father's intention for it to be a temporary break. Ning Weikai, with a bittersweet smile, politely declined, expressing that the CEO role no longer suited him and that he aspired to be a designer.
He mused that perhaps his past move from Wenda to Xinbaorui had been a mistake, and firmly told her he would not be returning. Unbeknownst to Zhu Hanjing, Ning Weikai had instructed Gao Lang to remain at Xinbaorui, reminding him that his mission was not yet complete. Gu Yanzhi was hospitalized with a severe stomachache from drinking the lake water. Li Jinyuan, furious, vowed revenge against Chen Zheng.
That evening, Li Jinyuan went to a bar to challenge Chen Zheng to a drinking contest but again lost. Upon receiving a call, Gu Yanzhi immediately pulled out his IV, enduring his stomach pain, and rushed to the bar. He arrived to find both Li Jinyuan and Chen Zheng passed out.
