Yi Fuling, Bai Tingjun, and Yu Haizhen were hiding in a corner of South Yudu. Bai Tingjun accused Feng Tianyi of mistreating Yi Fuling, but Yi Fuling defended Feng Tianyi, her heart still full of love for him, confessing to Bai Tingjun that she had no room for anyone else. Bai Tingjun, though he had harbored deep feelings for years, was rejected.
He remembered Ji Shu's warning that the Star Flow Flower Goddess could not fall in love without being harmed. He tried to persuade Yi Fuling to abandon Feng Tianyi, but was overcome by the pain of an Erosion Bone Nail in his palm, which Yu Haizhen discovered had been secretly placed there by Ji Shu. Yu Haizhen discreetly took Bai Tingjun away.
Upon waking, Bai Tingjun was warned by Yu Haizhen that the Erosion Bone Nail's blood oath had deeply afflicted him, and continuing to pursue Yi Fuling would be fatal. Yu Haizhen also revealed that Ji Shu was Yi Qianji. Bai Tingjun pleaded with Yu Haizhen to remove the nail.
Though initially hesitant and proposing Bai Tingjun leave Yi Fuling, Yu Haizhen, swayed by Bai Tingjun's unwavering determination to stay with Yi Fuling, agreed to find an unconventional cure: a painful scraping of bone and replacing of marrow, which Bai Tingjun bravely endured, reminiscing about Yi Fuling throughout the process. Meanwhile, Feng Ren's warnings did not deter Feng Tianyi's resolve to protect Yi Fuling.
Feng Tianyi was unwilling to let any calculations taint their feelings, even prepared to risk his throne to ensure Yi Fuling's happiness, even if it meant her being with Bai Tingjun. Feng Ren, accepting Feng Tianyi's stance, began to make his own plans, gathering physicians for an undisclosed purpose. After his treatment, Bai Tingjun needed three hours of rest.
Yu Haizhen covered for him, attempting to persuade Yi Fuling to accept Bai Tingjun, given his sacrifices, but Yi Fuling only viewed his actions as kindness. Feng Ren arrived, once again urging Yi Fuling to return to the palace. Hearing Feng Ren's voice, Bai Tingjun, despite his critical condition, struggled to his feet to shield Yi Fuling. Feng Tianyi also arrived, intending to let the three leave, but Feng Ren, defying him, was determined to take Yi Fuling.
During the confrontation, Bai Tingjun fought Feng Tianyi, was pushed to the ground, and a Flower Goddess Pendant's Yang half he carried fell out. It mysteriously attached to Feng Tianyi's ear, causing severe neck pain. Bai Tingjun, recalling Ji Shu's words that the Yang half indicated the Star Flow Flower Goddess's destined adversary and killing him would protect Yi Fuling, impulsively stabbed at Feng Tianyi. However, Yi Fuling shielded Feng Tianyi and was impaled through the chest.
As she fell, Yi Fuling affirmed her love for Feng Tianyi, even if he was her adversary. Amidst the chaos, Yu Haizhen used machines to fight off guards and managed to get the unconscious Yi Fuling and the agonized Feng Tianyi into the Star Ship, piloting them to escape. Feng Tianyi was consumed by unbearable burning pain, losing consciousness, and doctors in the South ç¾½du palace were helpless.
Feng Ren, distraught and watching Feng Tianyi suffer, interrogated Xue Jin, who attributed the illness to destiny. Meanwhile, Yi Fuling remained unconscious. Bai Tingjun, blaming himself, continuously murmured his love for her from the past decade, then experienced a sudden abnormality, shaking Yi Fuling's hand and repeatedly saying "it's too late." As rumors about Feng Tianyi's lack of wing holes spread among the officials, demanding he perform the Wing Spreading Ceremony, Feng Ren found it impossible to conceal the truth.
