Hao Zeyu and Fu Zi returned home. Hao Zeyu asked Fu Zi to go back first, as he wanted to be alone, then immediately called Bai Jiaojiao. Bai Jiaojiao, who learned he had messed up Director Wang's film audition/interview, asked him to come over, as Yan Rujing (also referred to as Shi Rujing), her agent, was also there and might offer advice. Hao Zeyu sat somewhat awkwardly between Bai Jiaojiao and Yan Rujing.

Yan Rujing, who had seen Hao Zeyu's film, comforted him, stating that good work cannot be rushed. She asked how his team planned to handle the interview. Hao Zeyu believed that if he couldn't get Director Wang's film, he would find another director's project. Yan Rujing reminded him that an actor needs to grow independently and cannot fully rely on an agent. Hao Zeyu could only smile awkwardly at Yan Rujing's somewhat unclear words.

Fu Zi and Niu Meili were contemplating Hao Zeyu's career alternatives. Niu Meili had heard about what transpired at Hao Zeyu's audition and cursed Director Wang, calling him a hypocrite worse than paparazzi. She mentioned that several companies, having learned Director Wang was interested in Hao Zeyu, now wanted him for their films and had brought scripts for him to review.

Hao Zeyu, however, was not interested in these small-production scripts and used the excuse of feeding pigeons to avoid them. Fu Zi believed Niu Meili's approach was inappropriate, as Hao Zeyu had previously taken Peng Yongkang's film only out of necessity. She argued that circumstances were different now, and they should be patient and wait, as they had choices. Niu Meili didn't understand why Fu Zi was against him taking these roles.

Suddenly, Director Wang called again, inviting Hao Zeyu for an audition. Niu Meili immediately agreed, but Hao Zeyu, still feeling upset about the previous interview and Director Wang's insult to Teng Dan, stubbornly refused to go. Niu Meili tried to persuade him not to stoop to Director Wang's level, explaining that Director Wang used extreme methods purely for his films, and Hao Zeyu shouldn't pass up the opportunity. Fu Zi knew Hao Zeyu was unhappy, but considered this opportunity crucial.

Fu Zi's father believed the decision should ultimately be Hao Zeyu's. Fu Zi, having reflected recently, tried to persuade Hao Zeyu to go to the audition, even asking him to do it for her sake. Hao Zeyu firmly refused, stating his unwillingness to work with Director Wang due to his poor character. He didn't believe his conviction was wrong and maintained that his acting was good, otherwise Director Wang wouldn't have sought him out repeatedly.

This led to a big argument between Hao Zeyu and Fu Zi. During their heated argument, Hao Zeyu even accused Fu Zi of treating him like a cash cow, just like Niu Meili. Fu Zi became very angry. She revealed that Niu Meili had gone into debt for Hao Zeyu and confessed that she herself had served as his internet troll, staying up late for several nights to post positive comments about him online, doing everything she could.

Now, she declared, she no longer wanted to unconditionally support Hao Zeyu, stating she was quitting on the spot. Hao Zeyu watched her angry departure, feeling utterly depressed. Returning home, Fu Zi submitted her resignation to Niu Meili, then locked herself in her room, stating that anything related to Hao Zeyu would no longer concern her.

She was determined to resign this time and would not return, believing she couldn't always cover for Hao Zeyu, and some things he had to face himself, even though she knew Hao Zeyu's words were said in anger, they had truly hurt her. Hao Zeyu wandered around, then returned, wanting to talk to Fu Zi. However, Fu Zi's father stopped him, explaining that they were both angry and wouldn't accomplish anything.

He added that Hao Zeyu's situation was different now, and Fu Zi and Niu Meili couldn't keep up with him. Therefore, since Fu Zi had decided to resign, they should respect her decision, with any regret or determination being future considerations. Hao Zeyu helplessly glanced at Fu Zi's room, then called Yan Rujing (also referred to as Shi Rujing) for guidance, as he genuinely didn't know who else to talk to.

Yan Rujing, acting like a compassionate elder sister and a professional agent, advised him that the problem wasn't with Fu Zi, but with Hao Zeyu's own future planning. She also believed Fu Zi's words were quite right, emphasizing that an actor should give themselves fully, exposing their pain, because every work carries their own story. Fu Zi started looking for jobs online.

Niu Meili came to persuade Fu Zi, but Fu Zi silently handed her resignation letter and told Niu Meili not to persuade her, as she was determined to resign. Fu Zi explained that she wasn't cut out for this line of work, stating she was just a supermarket promoter who had been pulled in by Niu Meili as a temporary measure and couldn't handle the assistant job. She advised Niu Meili to find a professional assistant for Hao Zeyu.

Niu Meili, worried and curious about the reason for Fu Zi's determination, then uncharacteristically invited Fu Zi's father to a Western restaurant. Fu Zi's father was disdainful but knew Niu Meili's unusual politeness was an attempt to persuade Fu Zi not to resign. He, however, firmly supported Fu Zi's decision. Fu Zi's father commented that Fu Zi and Hao Zeyu spent too much time together, inevitably getting tired of each other – a case of "intensive workplace contact."

Niu Meili took this opportunity to imply a somewhat overly intimate relationship between Hao Zeyu and Fu Zi. Fu Zi's father, who greatly disliked Hao Zeyu and was very unhappy about him and Fu Zi being together, noticed that all the jobs Fu Zi found were for receptionists. He didn't want Fu Zi doing service jobs and advised her to temporarily stop working and go back to school for a diploma. Fu Zi disagreed.

With a low academic qualification, Fu Zi had only found jobs as a receptionist after a long search. Her father didn't want her doing service jobs and again advised her to temporarily stop working and go back to school for a diploma, but Fu Zi flatly refused. The next day, early one morning, Fu Zi, dressed in formal attire, was going for an interview.

She told Hao Zeyu not to worry, assuring him that all his files and related items were meticulously organized, categorized, and clearly marked, so his new assistant would understand them at a glance and easily take over. Hao Zeyu felt very unsettled and looked at the meticulously organized contracts and documents, his mood incredibly complex.
