Nan Xing arrived at the company and saw Jiaojiao scolding someone. She thought she had made a mistake at work, but it turned out Jiaojiao and her colleagues were celebrating her, congratulating her on officially becoming a full-time employee. Everyone looked at Nan Xing with new respect, as she was the first executive assistant to successfully pass the probation period.

Jiaojiao planned to throw a party for her, and Nan Xing suddenly thought of Xiao Wudi—she wanted to properly thank him. Nan Xing brought Xiao Wudi out to try VR, and she got very excited playing. Xiao Wudi wasn’t interested at first, but Nan Xing kept dragging him along, and eventually they both had a great time. Afterward, Xiao Wudi wanted milk tea, and Nan Xing bought it for him.

While waiting for Nan Xing, Xiao Wudi unexpectedly saw Lu Zichen. Lu Zichen returned the necklace he had previously bought for Ye Qing and happened to run into Song Jiaming. Song Jiaming recognized Lu Zichen and openly said he was going to propose to Ye Qing, asking for Lu Zichen’s opinion. Lu Zichen advised him not to propose in public, as Ye Qing valued her privacy.

Xiao Wudi saw this as an opportunity—after all, the woman Lu Zichen loved was being proposed to by someone else. After buying the milk tea, Nan Xing also brought back a stuffed toy for Xiao Wudi and named it Little Bear Wudi. Xiao Wudi looked annoyed, thinking it was too ugly. Nan Xing joked that when he was bored and lonely, he could talk to Little Bear Wudi.

Xiao Wudi thought Nan Xing was acting strangely that night and asked if she had some kind of scheme. Nan Xing said she just wanted to thank him. Though Lu Zichen still didn’t like her yet, she wasn’t going to give up. Nan Xing complained that every time she saw Lu Zichen, she got so nervous she stammered. Xiao Wudi offered to help her win over Lu Zichen.

Nan Xing’s mother was thrilled to hear her daughter had passed probation and encouraged her. Nan Xing looked at the photos she had taken of Xiao Wudi and thought he looked adorable. Xiao Wudi didn’t see the resemblance with Little Bear Wudi, and he didn’t want Nan Xing to lead him astray. He wanted to focus on helping her attract Lu Zichen. Xiao Wudi decided to start with her appearance.

He bought professional clothing for Nan Xing to help her look more confident and intellectual. Nan Xing wasn’t used to it and said her stammering had nothing to do with how she dressed. Xiao Wudi analyzed that Lu Zichen was like a child—someone who needed to be cared for—and advised her to show him more concern and support. Nan Xing found his words convincing and accepted the new clothes. When Nan Xing met with Lu Zichen, she surprisingly didn’t stammer.

Jiaojiao cheered her on. A lot of hate mail arrived, but Lu Zichen didn’t care. He was focused on seeing if Ye Qing accepted Song Jiaming’s proposal. Some colleagues were emotionally affected by the haters. Nan Xing encouraged everyone to stay calm, saying Su Yuzhi’s death was just part of Lu Zichen’s writing, and the story’s ending wasn’t set. Lu Zichen overheard Nan Xing and assigned her some work while asking her to check on Ye Qing’s mood.

Nan Xing was about to leave work after finishing her tasks, but Xiao Wudi stopped her. He told her to stay with Lu Zichen and seize every opportunity to make an impression. Lu Zichen, still thinking only of Ye Qing, felt a bit down when he saw Song Jiaming invite her on a date.

Xiao Wudi came to the company, deliberately brought wine for Nan Xing, and told her to perform well in front of Lu Zichen since he had plans and couldn’t accompany her. Lu Zichen, in a bad mood, got drunk and prepared to head home. Nan Xing wanted to escort him out, but the two ended up trapped in the elevator.
