Xiao Wudi was uncharacteristically gentle and considerate in front of Nan Xing. He served her tea and draped a coat over her shoulders. Nan Xing was surprised, thinking Xiao Wudi was trying to tease her again. Unable to hold back, she questioned him. Xiao Wudi continued to build his warm-hearted image, acting with great sincerity. Nan Xing felt suspicious and worried he was plotting something, feeling anxious inside.

Xiao Wudi told Nan Xing not to be nervous and to create freely. Nan Xing said she wanted to go home and write, then quickly slipped away. Just as Nan Xing closed the door, Xiao Wudi was furious and had to remind himself to be a gentleman. Back at home, Nan Xing thought about her novel and figured that a demon turning into a warm guy could be a proper ending—but it felt uninteresting.

She wanted to add a romantic storyline for the female lead, but no matter how she wrote it, it lacked emotion. Even though the male character she added was her ideal type, she still didn’t find him attractive enough. Nan Xing felt like she had run out of inspiration and couldn’t write a good story, which troubled her.

Xiong Sisi called for help—she had lost the money she used to sign up at a gym, and the boss wouldn’t refund it. Xiao Hao couldn’t fix the issue either. Nan Xing called Xiao Wudi for help, and the four of them walked into the gym confidently, all wearing sunglasses. Nan Xing originally thought Xiao Wudi would scold the gym boss, but to her surprise, he reasoned with him.

The boss wouldn’t listen and arrogantly claimed they had no proof and he wouldn’t refund the money. Xiao Wudi suggested talking privately, but the boss ignored him and called over several gym trainers to surround Xiao Wudi. The boss pulled out his phone to record, threatening Xiao Wudi that whoever made the first move would be breaking the law. Xiao Wudi realized the boss was up to no good.

He took off his jacket and told Nan Xing to step back, warning that it was dangerous. Nan Xing was worried he’d get hurt and asked why he was being so reasonable, which didn’t seem like him. Xiao Wudi told Nan Xing to start filming with her phone too. He used martial arts to provoke the opponent into striking first and secured strong evidence. Nan Xing felt vindicated and showed him the video on her phone.

The boss ordered the trainers to snatch Xiao Wudi’s phone, but they were no match for him and were effortlessly taken down. The boss cried out for mercy under Xiao Wudi’s teaching and was forced to refund Sisi’s money. Nan Xing found Xiao Wudi to be incredibly charming during this incident and decided to write this heroic image into her novel. She shared the whole story with her classmates, who all called Xiao Wudi a “hero.

” Nan Xing’s love-struck expression was captured in a photo by Sisi. Xiao Wudi confessed to Nan Xing that he had been acting like a warm guy just to make her fall for him. Nan Xing froze. To cover it up, Xiao Wudi pretended it was all to help her gain inspiration for her novel.

Nan Xing realized that her previous depiction of the devilish neighbor had been too much and gave the male lead a new character arc—one that showcased Xiao Wudi’s kind actions toward her. Ye Qing assigned Nan Xing the copyright licensing work for Lu Zichen and encouraged her to balance her job and writing. She hoped to see Nan Xing’s completed novel when she returned.

Upon hearing that Lu Zichen was feeling down lately, Ye Qing called to ask where he was. Lu Zichen was meditating again, but when he found out that the doctor hadn’t pursued Ye Qing, he was thrilled. Ye Qing wanted to clarify things with Lu Zichen and recalled how, back then, Lu Zichen’s father opposed their startup and even suspected they were romantically involved. Lu Zichen had said at the time that he’d never fall for Ye Qing. Now, Ye Qing wanted to know if he had meant that. Nan Xing began to idolize Xiao Wudi, finding him handsome in every way.
