Miss The Dragon Episode 7 Recap
> Miss The Dragon Recap
Dragon King revealed to Liuying that he could not marry her because he was bound to marry Xiahou Xue, dismissing their prior connection as a misunderstanding. Though heartbroken, Liuying accepted his words, acknowledging her mortal status compared to his as the Dragon King. She later buried the love token he had given her in Fallen-flower Valley, resolving to forget their memories.
Qingqing, observing Dragon King’s visible pain, understood the unspoken love between him and Liuying, and the unfortunate impossibility of their union. While gathering fallen blossoms to decorate Xiahou Xue’s wedding room, Liuying encountered Dragon King, who appeared before her in a vibrant red wedding robe. He explained that in the mortal world, red symbolizes beauty and joy, and newlyweds wear it for good fortune.
Dragon King then reflected on how some moments, though fleeting, can represent eternity, stating that he would eternally cherish the brief, profound moment they shared. Despite his feelings, he regretfully reiterated that his heart and soul were already promised to Xiahou Xue. Xiahou’s Mansion soon buzzed with preparations for the grand wedding. Liuying, despite her profound sadness, dutifully helped Xiahou Xue don her red wedding gown.
During the ceremony, Dragon King, unable to truly commit himself to another, used a magical leaf to create an illusion of himself, which then proceeded with the marriage rites alongside Xiahou Xue. Meanwhile, at Luofeng Pavilion, Immortal Ziyang playfully bickered with Bingxing, revealing a long history of losing games to her. Xue Qianxun then arrived, and Immortal Ziyang presented him with Zisui Yangyan, an artifact he jokingly referred to as a "love token."
Immortal Ziyang explained that this item, forged from his own power and as potent as dragon fire, could be used to forcefully capture a Yin Soul to mend the breaches in the Sky Net. He gave Xue Qianxun a strict three-day deadline to use it, after which he would reclaim it. Back at Xiahou’s Mansion, Xiahou Xue’s cousin, Xu Zhiyuan, arrived to recover from a riding accident, and Liuying was assigned to nurse him due to her meticulous nature.
Dragon King observed Liuying tending to Xu Zhiyuan, displaying clear signs of jealousy which Qingqing, astute in matters of the heart, quickly identified and elaborated upon. Later, Dragon King was found drinking alone at Dragon Pool to drown his sorrows.
The Immortal of Fate appeared, offering a special wine and delivering a grim prophecy: Xiahou’s Mansion would be embroiled in a major rebellion by the end of the year, leading to their downfall, with the men enslaved and the women forced into prostitution. Concurrently, Xiahou Xue's father proposed to marry Liuying to Xu Zhiyuan, viewing it as a significant opportunity for a maid and instructing Xiahou Xue to persuade her.
At the same time, Xue Qianxun arrived at Xiahou’s Mansion, intending to capture Liuying’s Yin Soul. Qingqing encountered him and, sensing the ominous power emanating from Zisui Yangyan, deduced its malevolent purpose. Seeing Xue Qianxun as a "bad-hearted person in human form" for targeting Liuying, she cunningly stole the artifact and delivered it to Dragon King, revealing Xue Qianxun’s true intentions. A confrontation ensued between Dragon King and Xue Qianxun.
Xue Qianxun asserted that his actions were a necessary duty to protect the mortal realm but questioned why Dragon King would oppose him so fiercely for a mere "maid." Qingqing immediately jumped into the fray, chastising Xue Qianxun for his condescending view of maids and reminding him of his past mistreatment of her, including forcing her to sing in the River of Tears and ruining her makeup.
This led to an uncharacteristically lengthy argument from the usually stoic Xue Qianxun, much to Dragon King’s amusement. To assert his will, Dragon King boldly declared Liuying his to protect and, in a defiant act, destroyed Zisui Yangyan before Xue Qianxun. He then revealed that his previous actions, including his marriage to Xiahou Xue and the preservation of her soul, were all calculated moves to shield Liuying from being used to seal the Sky Net.
Emphatically stating that Liuying was the most important person to him, Dragon King vowed to defend her against Luofeng Pavilion, or even the entire Heaven if necessary, advising Xue Qianxun to seek alternative methods for mending the Sky Net. Qingqing enthusiastically echoed Dragon King’s strong stance, while Xue Qianxun, surprisingly, found himself not angered by Qingqing’s audacious remarks.
