Infuriated by Luo Tianran's meddling in his family affairs, Jin Zeyi abruptly pulled over and left her on the roadside, driving away without a word. Luo Tianran, realizing too late that she had left her bag and phone in his car, found herself lost and wandered aimlessly until her feet were sore and blistered. By chance, she stumbled upon Yun Shu near the hospital where he worked.
Sensing an unusual connection, Yun Shu kindly offered to take her home and even showed her how to use tissues to cushion her injured foot, which she appreciated greatly. Luo Tianran lamented that if Jin Zeyi possessed even a tenth of Yun Shu's kindness, her life wouldn't be so difficult. Though Jin Zeyi turned back to look for Luo Tianran shortly after leaving, he missed her.
He returned home in a huff, only to be confronted by a barrage of news reports about women being robbed or involved in accidents late at night. Worried about "that silly goose," Luo Tianran, he went back out to search for her. As he left, Yun Shu was just dropping Luo Tianran off at her place.
Having decided she wouldn't go through with the wedding, Luo Tianran quickly retrieved her luggage and headed to her friends, Jin Xiaoqin and Lin Che’s, place. Luo Tianran, in a foul mood, drank heavily and repeatedly declared her refusal to marry. Xiaoqin tried to console her, agreeing with her sentiments. However, once Luo Tianran passed out, Xiaoqin’s true intentions emerged.
She reasoned that a wedding with a man of Jin Zeyi's status was a dream for many, and if Luo Tianran backed out, Jin Zeyi's people wouldn't let her off easily, especially since the wedding invitations had already been sent. Lin Che, prioritizing Luo Tianran's feelings, tried to interject, but Xiaoqin had a counter-argument for everything, leaving him with no room to object. Xiaoqin then decided to literally drag the unconscious Luo Tianran to the wedding venue.
The next morning, Jin Zeyi discovered a note in Luo Tianran’s room, a curse wishing him to stay single forever. He immediately called Tiffany, the chief coordinator at the wedding venue, who promptly issued an order to postpone the ceremony. Jin Zeyi rushed to the site, but even as the wedding was about to begin, Luo Tianran was nowhere to be found. Guests began to whisper, some questioning the legitimacy of the wedding.
Just as things were about to spiral out of control, Jin Xiaoqin arrived, pulling a reluctant Luo Tianran, who was already in her wedding dress, into the venue. The wedding commenced, and Jin Zeyi readily affirmed his "I do," and Luo Tianran followed suit. While the wedding concluded successfully, Tiffany was later reprimanded by her superior, Mr. Shi, for the delay.
Annoyed, Tiffany spotted Lin Che's milk tea stand and, upon learning he was Luo Tianran's friend, tore up Luo Tianran's photos and kicked his car before tossing him some money and leaving. Following the wedding, Luo Tianran and Jin Zeyi were required to film a series of advertisements, leveraging their new status as a married couple. Their first assignment was a honeymoon travel advertisement, set in a vast grassland with a hot air balloon that read "Tomato Music Festival."
Though their interactions were typically full of bickering, their playful disputes often appeared as affectionate banter to outsiders, resulting in excellent on-screen chemistry. The ad director even commented on how genuinely in love they appeared, dispelling rumors of a fake relationship. That evening, the ad agency booked only one large suite for the "newlyweds" at a resort hotel. Luo Tianran refused to share a room with Jin Zeyi, asserting her intention to sleep on the balcony.
However, the abundance of mosquitoes quickly drove her back inside, where she demanded to sleep on the sofa. Jin Zeyi, showing no mercy, rebuffed her. Angered by the mosquitoes and Jin Zeyi’s dismissiveness, Luo Tianran cunningly waited for him to fall asleep before sneaking into the room and climbing onto the bed beside him. Jin Zeyi initially suspected Luo Tianran had ulterior motives, only to discover she merely wanted to force him onto the sofa.
A battle of wills ensued, with Luo Tianran even mimicking Jin Zeyi by taking off her socks when he did. However, when Jin Zeyi went a step further and started to remove his pants, a shocked Luo Tianran fled back to the mosquito-ridden balcony. The next day, the pair filmed a diamond ring advertisement. During a scene involving a water spray, Jin Zeyi mischievously pushed Luo Tianran into the path of the water.
Luo Tianran immediately chased after him, playfully swatting him. Their spirited chase and laughter made them look like a truly affectionate couple, convincing the crew that their on-screen chemistry was genuine. After the photoshoot concluded, they were tasked with inventorying and returning all the sponsored jewelry. As Luo Tianran counted the items, she discovered the female diamond ring was missing. Realizing it must have fallen off during their playful chase, she hurried back to search for it.
