Luo Tianran, having lost her memory, genuinely believed Jin Zeyi was her husband. Jin Zeyi, feeling for her lack of family, didn't want to reveal that even her husband was an illusion. He was reluctant to admit that Luo Tianran had become more than just a contract wife to him. While she was hospitalized, Jin Zeyi diligently looked after her, even watching horror movies with her at night.
The hospital room door opened, revealing Dr. Yun and a nurse checking on patients. Jin Zeyi quickly hid under Luo Tianran's blanket. Dr. Yun, realizing Jin Zeyi wasn't openly attending to Luo Tianran, called him, only for Jin Zeyi’s phone to ring from under Luo Tianran's blanket. Luo Tianran quickly claimed Jin Zeyi had left his phone behind, but Dr. Yun saw through the excuse, yet discreetly moved on to other rooms with the nurse.
Afterward, Luo Tianran found Jin Zeyi's sheepish behavior so amusing that they playfully bickered before settling down to sleep. Tiffany, who knew Jin Zeyi well, sensed a shift in him. One night, she visited Luo Tianran and Jin Zeyi’s house alone, sitting on the grass in contemplation. Lin Che spotted her and approached, asking if she liked Jin Zeyi. Tiffany, dismissing him as a "kid," denied any such feelings.
As she left, Lin Che offered her a "lucky slip," instructing her to only open it at home. Though amused, Tiffany opened it discreetly after leaving, finding the message, "Today you should be happy and take care of yourself." Meanwhile, Luo Tianran's medical tests showed no issues. Doctors speculated her amnesia was psychogenic and possibly temporary. Upon discharge, Luo Tianran returned home with Jin Zeyi, only to find their bedrooms were separate.
Jin Zeyi hastily claimed they were a loving couple, yet his excuses were riddled with inconsistencies. To prevent Luo Tianran from discovering the truth, Jin Zeyi secretly retrieved both marriage contracts at home and had A Tai take them away. When Tiffany learned this, she felt Jin Zeyi was letting emotions cloud his judgment and advised him not to get too engrossed in a contract marriage that was bound to end.
She expressed concern over the impact on company interests and Jin Zeyi's own. Jin Zeyi retorted that he couldn't possibly tell Luo Tianran, who had no family, that her husband was a sham. That evening, to maintain the facade, Jin Zeyi had no choice but to share a room with Luo Tianran. Luo Tianran delicately expressed her need for time to adjust to their relationship, to which Jin Zeyi eagerly agreed.
He was visibly reserved, sitting far from her, and showing no intention of taking advantage of the situation. Luo Tianran soon drifted off to sleep, but Jin Zeyi remained restless by her side. Later that night, Luo Tianran, still unaccustomed to sharing a bed, woke up and accidentally pressed on Jin Zeyi’s injured ankle. Noticing his pain, Luo Tianran thoughtfully retrieved medicine and sprayed his wound.
Jin Zeyi then used the strong smell of the spray as an excuse to retreat to another room to sleep. Despite Jin Zeyi's numerous blunders, Luo Tianran remained unsuspecting. She even baked a cake for him to take to work. Jin Zeyi was delighted and, at lunchtime, invited colleagues to share the cake, proudly showing off his wife's baking skills.
Unbeknownst to him, shortly after he arrived at the company, Tiffany had gone to his house with one of the marriage contracts. As Luo Tianran was considering dinner options for Jin Zeyi, Tiffany arrived and handed her the marriage contract, stating it would be safer for Luo Tianran to keep it herself due to the busy office environment. Tiffany sternly reminded Luo Tianran that certain things should be remembered clearly and never forgotten.
After Tiffany left, Luo Tianran, perplexed, opened the document. To her dismay, she discovered that her supposedly loving marriage was nothing more than a contract. Luo Tianran, saddened and confused by the revelation, immediately called Jin Zeyi, asking him to come home early. Jin Zeyi, who was in the midst of showing off the cake to colleagues, answered her call, noting her unusual silence.
After delivering the contract, Tiffany drove back to the company, stopping at a food truck to order an Americano. Lin Che, pleased to see her, handed her the coffee and offered her another lucky slip. Tiffany casually picked one that read, "You are beautiful today." Instantly recognizing the trick, she pulled the container from Lin Che's hand, confirming that all the slips contained the identical message. Despite the obvious ploy, Lin Che's boyish attempts to please her still seemed to charm Tiffany.
