At a Japanese restaurant, Yin Yike wanted to try both the Pork Bone Set and the Chicken Meatballs. Seeing her hesitate after learning the pork set was spicy, Xu Guangxi, who had initially ordered a Grilled Eel Rice Bowl, changed the order.
He selflessly gave up his own choice and ordered one Pork Bone Set and one order of Chicken Meatballs, ensuring she could have both dishes she desired. They shared the food and conversed easily, a stark contrast to Yin Yike's usual demeanor. She confessed that her mood was due to witnessing a friend's difficult situation, where a mother was struggling at home while the father was out with another woman.
Xu Guangxi offered comfort, wishing he could have been there to intervene. As they left, Yin Yike sprained her ankle in her high heels. Xu Guangxi offered to carry her, but she declined, revealing she had a pair of sneakers with her. After changing, she jokingly claimed to possess a lightness skill as she felt nimble again. Xu Guangxi complimented her, saying she looked even more beautiful in sneakers.
The next morning, Aunt Lan woke Yin Yike, urging her to get up as Li Zelin had arrived early and was waiting. Li Zelin had brought numerous gifts, including a pair of shoes for Yin Yibo that were far too large. The next day, Qin Yiran dropped Yin Yike at work and encountered Chen Ye, the man whose car she had nearly hit.
