Yin Yibo discussed with Xia Xiaomian how to help his sister, Yin Yike, with her struggling company, with Xia Xiaomian suggesting they first work on stabilizing the live stream traffic. Yin Yibo proposed that he could handle the company's live streams, allowing his sister to focus on her family matters. Later, as Yin Yike emerged from her shower, she was surprised to find Xu Guangxi had prepared a large array of dishes.

He asked her to taste them, and she immediately noticed they tasted just like Aunt Lan's cooking. Xu Guangxi admitted he had specifically called his mother to learn the recipes, hoping to impress Old Yin. Yin Yike happily told him that while she wasn't sure about winning over her father, he had certainly won her over. Xu Guangxi, beaming, then presented her favorite dish, reassuring her that he knew her preferences without any prompting.

He expressed his desire to cook for her every day. Meanwhile, Yin Yibo was secretly live-streaming a new perfume from his sister's company, the "Good Night Series," describing it as a spicy men's fragrance. Suddenly, Old Yin burst into the room without knocking, furious that Yin Yibo was live-streaming instead of studying. He accused Yin Yibo of trying to make money and disrupting the room.

Yin Yibo explained he was trying to attract traffic for Yin Yike, but Old Yin wouldn't listen and began pulling at his live-streaming setup. A heated argument ensued, with Yin Yibo questioning why he was forced to study and couldn't pursue other paths, while Old Yin angrily mocked him for being lazy and told him to move out like his sister. Just then, Aunt Lan arrived home and heard the commotion.

She quickly intervened, telling Yin Yibo to ignore his father and leave with her. Enraged, Old Yin turned his anger on Aunt Lan, accusing her of siding with the children. Aunt Lan calmly retorted that he couldn't always have his way and needed time to reflect alone, before leading a defiant Yin Yibo out of the house.

Later, as Xu Guangxi and Yin Yike were grocery shopping to make dried scallop porridge for Old Yin, Aunt Lan called with urgent news: Old Yin had been rushed to the hospital. At the emergency department, Yin Yibo confessed that Old Yin's collapse was due to their fight, and Aunt Lan blamed herself for provoking him. The doctor confirmed Old Yin had fainted due to high blood pressure exacerbated by emotional stress but was largely fine.

However, Old Yin immediately began feigning chest tightness and difficulty breathing, insisting on being admitted for a comprehensive check-up. Concerned, Yin Yike agreed, and Xu Guangxi proactively handled the admission procedures. That night, while Old Yin feigned sleep, Xu Guangxi sat by his bedside and spoke softly. He revealed how much Yin Yike missed her father, secretly calling Aunt Lan for updates and reminding Yin Yibo to ensure all his medicines were prepared.

Xu Guangxi emphasized that despite moving out, Yin Yike deeply cherished her father, seeing him as greater than heaven itself. Hearing this, Old Yin quietly opened his eyes. The next morning, Aunt Lan and Yin Yibo arrived at the hospital. Old Yin, still demanding attention, complained that the soup was cold and refused to eat, telling them to figure out what he wanted since he was the patient.

He then jokingly admitted to the others that he had exaggerated his symptoms out of fear, having called the emergency services simply because he was "timid." Both Aunt Lan and Yin Yike playfully scolded him for pretending. As Old Yin prepared to be discharged, the doctor returned with unsettling news: while his blood pressure was stable, the CT scan revealed a shadow on his lung.

The family's mood shifted dramatically to deep concern, and a stunned Old Yin muttered that this was "retribution" for his feigned illness. Yin Yike tried to reassure everyone that it might just be inflammation. Yin Yibo volunteered to stay with Aunt Lan to care for Old Yin, urging Yin Yike and Xu Guangxi to focus on their work, particularly his sister's "tough battle" at the company.

Old Yin agreed, but insisted that Yin Yibo must prioritize studying for his graduate exams. With Yin Yike busy managing her company's public relations crisis, Xu Guangxi took primary responsibility for Old Yin's care. At the hospital, Aunt Lan expressed her full confidence in her son's character and left him in charge. Xu Guangxi brought various food items, including dried scallop porridge and dumplings, as well as warmer pads.

Old Yin was deliberately difficult, refusing the porridge and questioning the need for warmer pads in summer. He bluntly told Xu Guangxi to stop trying to win him over, reiterating that a relationship with Yin Yike was out of the question. Despite his gruff demeanor, Old Yin did show a subtle shift, finding use for a hand massager Xu Guangxi brought. Xu Guangxi remained patient and respectful, assuring Old Yin he would be nearby if needed.

Later that night, as Yin Yike worked on a "self-mockery" video for her company, Xu Guangxi called to update her that Old Yin, though stubborn, was allowing him to provide care. While Yin Yike was preoccupied, Xu Guangxi diligently reviewed Old Yin's medical reports in the hospital corridor, eventually falling asleep. Stepping out of his room, Old Yin discovered Xu Guangxi asleep with the reports in his hand.

He quietly took the documents, a silent acknowledgment of the young man's dedication. The next morning, Yin Yike arrived with breakfast and overheard a profound conversation between Old Yin and Xu Guangxi. Old Yin spoke of his anxiety over his uncertain health and his worries for his children's futures—Yin Yike's unmarried status and Yin Yibo's graduate studies. He recounted Yin Yike's childhood, remembering her as an exceptionally obedient child who helped care for her younger brother.

He sadly recalled the only time he ever hit her was when she accidentally lost her brother, noting that even then, she tearfully found him. Xu Guangxi then reminded Old Yin of Yin Yike's childhood dream of learning to dance, revealing he once saw her secretly practicing in a park, twirling beautifully. Old Yin's voice softened as he fondly agreed his daughter looked beautiful doing anything.

Xu Guangxi then spoke of Yin Yike's more vulnerable side—her forgetfulness and tendency to get sick from overworking—emphasizing her need for care. Old Yin expressed doubts about Xu Guangxi's youth and ability to protect a woman. However, Xu Guangxi responded powerfully, stating that words were pale, and he would use his actions and time to prove his love for Yin Yike. He vowed to protect her and let her live freely as "the happiest and most joyful Yin Yike." Overhearing this heartfelt exchange from the doorway, Yin Yike was deeply moved.
