Lu Jing is momentarily stunned into silence when he hears Little Box's real voice over the game, as she forgot to use her voice changer. He immediately recognizes it as Liang Chen's. As she continues speaking, revealing she also graduated from Nanze University and even giving her old dorm address, Lu Jing's suspicion solidifies into certainty. He finally responds, claiming a bad connection to hide his shock. Relieved he doesn't sound angry, Liang Chen asks to play again.
Back in his room, his roommate Liu Er reminds Lu Jing of his vow to be a "dog" if he ever played with her again. Lu Jing promptly barks twice, stunning Liu Er. During their next game, Lu Jing is noticeably distracted, now knowing he is playing with Liang Chen. He plays poorly and ends the session early, claiming he has other commitments.
When Liang Chen asks why he stood her up the previous night, he apologizes, explaining it was for a friend he couldn't refuse. Alone later, Lu Jing is filled with regret over his past harsh treatment of "Little Box," lamenting what he has done to Liang Chen. Upon learning the university anniversary celebration is that Saturday, Lu Jing asks who was chosen for the flower presentation role he had previously rejected. Discovering it's Gu Fei Ming, he is dismayed.
He immediately finds Gu Fei Ming and asks him to give up the role of presenting flowers to Liang Chen. Despite Lu Jing's plea, Gu Fei Ming playfully and firmly rejects the request, stating the matter is non-negotiable. Meanwhile, Liang Chen juggles a demanding schedule but insists on an early recording session to ensure she is free for the university event. Her assistant asks if she has managed to get Gu Fei Ming to swap roles with Lu Jing.
Liang Chen confidently smiles, implying she can handle the situation. Elsewhere, Lu Jing confirms with Gu Fei Ming that he will be at the rehearsal, stressing the importance of the event. On the day of the rehearsal, Liang Chen arrives at Nanze University to a crowd of excited fans. While settling into her prep room, she secretly texts Lu Jing as "Little Box," telling him she's at the hall.
He offers to pick her up, but when she admits she hasn't arrived yet, he playfully calls her a "liar." As planned, when it's time for the flower presentation segment of the rehearsal, Gu Fei Ming fakes a sudden, severe stomachache and rushes off stage. The director, Mr. Luo, looks for a replacement, and Lu Jing immediately volunteers. Qi Qi then approaches Lu Jing, confirming that he will now be the one presenting the flowers to Liang Chen while she assists by giving out souvenirs.
