She detailed the arrangements she had made for Lin Jing's journey, including his lodging and meals. Annoyed, Rong Hua turned and left. After everyone else had left, Mei Xueman confessed her deep affection for Lin Jing. Meanwhile, Rong Hua, wandering alone, inadvertently stumbled into Lingxu Pavilion territory. She was gravely wounded by Cang Qi. Fortunately, Lin Jing and Lu Yizhou arrived just in time to save her, but the ordeal triggered a severe Cold Disease attack, causing her to collapse.
Lin Jing instructed Lu Yizhou to ensure Rong Hua received proper care, while he had to return to Lingxu Pavilion to handle urgent matters. Mei Xueman, witnessing Lin Jing's devoted attention to Rong Hua, grew intensely jealous. She deliberately revealed to Rong Hua that Lin Jing was in fact Na Lanyue, the young master of Lingxu Pavilion, leaving Rong Hua stunned. Upon his return to Lingxu Pavilion, Na Lanyue brought Cang Qi with him.
Lin Ruohan, the Pavilion Master, pardoned Cang Qi for his failure to eliminate Rong Hua. Na Lanyue immediately confronted his mother, questioning why she relentlessly sought to harm Rong Hua. However, Lin Ruohan and Na Lanyue's father fell deeply in love and eloped to be together. Enraged by their betrayal, Mo Huan dispatched Rong Jingfeng to hunt them down. Rong Jingfeng, however, harbored a greedy desire for Na Lanyue's father's ancestral Chihua Pill. He seized the opportunity to murder Na Lanyue's father, steal the pill, and betray the Ling Sect. Hearing this, Na Lanyue finally understood his mother's painful intentions and the depth of her suffering.
Having learned the painful truth, Rong Hua went to Lingxu Pavilion to confront Na Lanyue. Knowing he was in the wrong for his deception, Na Lanyue offered his life as a form of atonement. Rong Hua held a dagger, but her resolve wavered, unable to strike him. Tearfully, Na Lanyue explained that he had been forced into these difficult circumstances. Once she calmed down, Rong Hua listened to his explanation.
He revealed that "Lin Jing" was merely an alias he used while traveling the jianghu, adopting his mother's surname as a mark of respect for her, but she felt as though everything had changed. Under Rong Su's instructions, Xuan Ye visited the Snow Union to purchase information. Liuli, the Snow Union leader, presented her condition: she demanded the antidote to the Chihua Pill. Xuan Ye, without hesitation, readily agreed to her terms.
Meanwhile, Lin Ruohan questioned Lu Yizhou about Rong Hua's character. She expressed her hope that Lu Yizhou could persuade Na Lanyue to prioritize the greater good over his personal affections. She then assigned Lu Yizhou a new task: to closely monitor Rong Su in Dragon Howl City. The gentle Mei Xueman visited Na Lanyue, expressing concern for his injuries and suggesting that Rong Hua was not worthy of his love, hoping he would reconsider his affections.
Na Lanyue, however, observed Mei Xueman's outwardly gentle demeanor masking a surprisingly mature and astute mind. He pledged to assist the Mei family but stipulated certain conditions. Rong Hua sought a private audience with Lin Ruohan. Lin Ruohan revealed that the Chihua Pill had been absorbed into her heart meridian and offered Rong Hua a choice: either remove the Chihua Pill, or help suppress its poisonous backlash. Rong Hua chose to provide treatment.
Later that night, Rong Hua bid farewell to Lin Ruohan, informing her that the Chihua Pill, once consumed, had no antidote and was, in essence, a poison. Despite this, Lin Ruohan stubbornly refused to humble herself and seek the antidote from Dragon Howl City, enduring her suffering with grim determination. She believed it was better for Rong Hua to see for herself, rather than harbor false hope. Lin Ruohan remarked that, unless she was an exceptionally good deceiver, Rong Hua's character seemed vastly different from Rong Jingfeng's.
