Zhu Yun also stated that she would never like Li Xun. Although Fang Shumiao was angry, she still planned to stay to earn some extra credit for herself, but she would never like Li Xun again. The two made a pact: whoever liked Li Xun would be a dog. When they returned hand in hand like nothing had happened, Gao Jianhong couldn’t help but tease the “plastic sisters.

” Zhu Yun and Gao Jianhong worked on the Blue Crown proposal and showed it to Li Xun. Li Xun thought it was too flashy, but Gao Jianhong felt it wasn’t bad. If the project was too simple, it might make people think they weren’t taking it seriously. Li Xun didn’t say more and agreed to use the program, which was a huge encouragement for Gao Jianhong.

It was something he created without relying on Li Xun or Zhu Yun, and he felt proud and confident, especially since he would be the main speaker the next day. On the contrary, Zhu Yun found it strange — Li Xun usually criticized them and wouldn’t agree so easily. She didn’t expect him to agree that quickly, but Gao Jianhong believed it was because they were capable.

The next morning, before Li Xun arrived, Gao Jianhong dragged Zhu Yun to the bidding event. But when they got there, they realized they were outmatched — all the participants were from well-known companies, and their proposals were far superior. Worse still, a code error in their program couldn’t be fixed in time. Zhu Yun panicked and tried to call Li Xun, but his phone was off.

Gao Jianhong had no choice but to go on stage, but he stammered and the code error upset the evaluators. Just when things were going south, Li Xun appeared and presented his own program, showcasing a well-designed online shopping platform. He explained that what Gao Jianhong had shown earlier was just the first version, intended to demonstrate the experience of using a flawed program. This presentation won the audience’s approval, but left Gao Jianhong feeling humiliated.

He believed Li Xun had embarrassed him on purpose, whereas Zhu Yun thought they were lucky Li Xun showed up — otherwise everything would’ve been ruined. It was utterly embarrassing, but at least everyone remembered the Blue Crown project, even if no one knew who they were. The Blue Crown project won the bid. At the base, Li Xun announced the results and acknowledged everyone’s efforts. The project would earn them extra credit and a bonus.

Although most of the money went to the school, everyone was thrilled. Everyone except Gao Jianhong, who felt insulted for being humiliated and then given credit. He refused the recognition and said he wanted to leave the base. Li Xun didn’t stop him and continued arranging the next phase. After work, Zhu Yun called Li Xun and tried to persuade him to keep Gao Jianhong. But Li Xun believed Gao Jianhong would return.

Later, Li Xun went to see Gao Jianhong alone. He didn’t say a single word to persuade him, but simply asked if Gao Jianhong wanted to create something of his own. Gao Jianhong understood — the only way to improve quickly and build something unique was to follow Li Xun. The next day, he obediently returned to the base and told Zhu Yun that he could only truly learn by following Li Xun.

During class, Li Xun didn’t show up, which made Zhu Yun suspicious. As expected, Teacher Lin showed up with Zhang Xiaobei, a project supervisor from a startup. Zhang Xiaobei claimed to have submitted the same project materials as Li Xun and wanted to collaborate. But everyone knew that Li Xun and his team had written the code themselves. Zhu Yun had even seen Han Jiakang, Zhang Xiaobei’s subordinate, sitting in the corner at the bidding event, never taking the stage.

Zhu Yun bluntly questioned when the report was submitted, but the faculty quickly stopped her and reminded her to cooperate. Teacher Lin brought Zhang Xiaobei and the others to the base to see Li Xun. Li Xun said nothing but silently accepted the arrangement. Zhu Yun couldn’t understand why the usually unyielding Li Xun would give in this time. Li Xun told her that he had been through too much and seen too much.

The decision had been approved by the school and could no longer be changed. He said Zhu Yun had been too sheltered to face reality. Zhu Yun couldn’t accept having her team’s hard work taken away, but since the project belonged to Li Xun, she had nothing to say. She simply announced her decision to leave the base.
