Wu Geng fiercely cursed Shi Xing as selfish, foolish, and cowardly, blaming him for killing Ming Yue and the people of the King's City. He pointed out that Shi Xing knew the true culprit was the Immortal Clan but didn't dare to seek revenge, using death as an excuse for liberation. Wu Geng told Shi Xing to summon his strength and go fight, to fulfill his responsibility.

Motivated by Wu Geng, Shi Xing successfully awakened and also decided to seek out the Immortal Clan for battle. Since King Xin's death in battle, the Undying Bird had been searching for the next body for rebirth through fire. It asked Shi Xing if he was willing to form a contract with it to fight against the sinful gods. Shi Xing readily agreed to form a contract with the Undying Bird.

Afterward, Shi Xing decided to return to the King's City to protect it and promised Wu Geng that he would arrive in time when Wu Geng needed him. Ni Tianerxing, to thank Bai Cai for her recent help, specifically taught her the Demon Clan's Escape Technique and told her to practice diligently. Sui Feng Qi Wu asked Bai Cai to apologize to A Lan on her behalf, saying that what happened before was her mistake.

Wu Geng used Qi Refining technique to summon General An's consciousness, successfully helping him recover his senses. Bai Cai returned to the orphan village and met the children they had relied on each other with in the past. At the same time, she learned from the children that the people now no longer ate grain to sustain themselves but ate a type of fruit to fill their hunger. Gui Mu summoned Zhou Qiao from Chen Jing.
