> Legend of Yun Xi Recap

Upon realizing the need to present the criminal Yu Ze to Emperor Tianhui at the palace to clear his name, Long Feiye cast a loving glance at the sleeping Yunxi before leaving his carriage. To his surprise, Yunxi and Chu Xifeng were already awaiting him at the palace gates. Yunxi explained she had come as a precaution, fearing Yu Ze might cause more trouble, and had given Yu Ze a substance called Truth Powder.

Yunxi explained to Yu Ze that for one day, if she were to lie, her pulse would become unstable, leading to a painful death. She advised Yu Ze to answer all questions truthfully. Witnessing Yunxi's devotion and foresight, Chu Xifeng was moved, expressing how fortunate Long Feiye was to have such a brilliant Princess Consort, to which Yunxi playfully responded that she was indeed Long Feiye's "lucky star."

Inside the palace, Yu Ze confessed that all her actions were commanded by the Crown Prince, Long Tianmo, arguing that a mere prostitute could not have committed such grave crimes without his influence. Emperor Tianhui ordered her to be put on death row, and as she was dragged away, Yu Ze defiantly called him a "fatuous monarch." Long Feiye then addressed the Emperor, expressing skepticism about the Crown Prince's direct involvement, citing Yu Ze's formidable martial arts and poison skills.

He recounted orchestrating a false scenario with Young General Mu, which nearly cost Mu his life, to uncover the true mastermind. Long Feiye subtly suggested that the viciousness of the poison user did not align with the Crown Prince's usually benevolent nature. Emperor Tianhui, frustrated, called his son "stupid" for being manipulated and lamented the bleak future of his nation.

Long Feiye then implicated the Grand Marshal, exposing him as the "vermin" who had abetted the Crown Prince and engaged in corruption. The Emperor immediately ordered the Grand Marshal summoned. The Grand Marshal, summoned to the palace, admitted his failure and accepted his fate. The Emperor expressed his disappointment that the Grand Marshal had allowed Prince Qin to corner him.

The Grand Marshal then claimed his and the Crown Prince's actions were to counter Prince Qin's growing influence for the sake of the Emperor. The Emperor scoffed at this, accusing him of embezzling public funds. The Grand Marshal, while admitting guilt, revealed that Prince Qin had investigated the Poison Master's whereabouts, indicating a clear ambition, but they lacked direct evidence. He pleaded for his own life to be taken as atonement, begging the Emperor to care for the Crown Prince.

Emperor Tianhui ordered him imprisoned. Later, in prison, a distraught Crown Prince Tianmo blamed himself for his uncle’s predicament. The Grand Marshal advised Tianmo that as the future emperor, he must remain calm. He warned that Long Feiye was dangerous and stressed the importance of never acting rashly against him without absolute certainty of victory. He assured Tianmo that as long as he avoids major mistakes, the Emperor would not depose him.

In the Imperial Garden, Emperor Tianhui informed Long Feiye that the Grand Marshal was solely responsible and had been imprisoned. He then sentenced the Grand Marshal to death, ordering Long Feiye to personally execute him with poisoned wine to grant him a dignified end. At the execution, the Grand Marshal remained defiant. Long Feiye, dismissing him as a dying man, revealed a profound secret: he is a descendant of Qinxi.

He declared that Tianning, Xiqiu, and Beili were treacherous clans occupying Qinxi's territories and vowed to make them pay for their crimes. The Grand Marshal, aghast, realized Long Feiye was the child who had escaped and a gu-abetted man. Long Feiye confirmed the excruciating pain of his monthly gu-poison outbreaks constantly reminded him of his unavenged revenge. He pledged to one day reclaim all that belonged to him and bring peace to the people of Qinxi.

Distraught, Crown Prince Tianmo visited Gu Qishao, who explained that he had instructed Yu Ze to implicate Tianmo as a strategic move; the Emperor would never depose his heir, making the Crown Prince a political weakness for his enemies to exploit. Gu Qishao offered his loyalty, which Tianmo accepted. Meanwhile, Long Feiye's men raided the Grand Marshal's mansion, discovering immense extorted wealth. Feiye ordered it all to be distributed to citizens in disaster areas, bypassing the imperial treasury.

Later, Tianmo learned from a subordinate that his own brother, Second Prince Long Tianqing, had secretly helped leak the Grand Marshal's account books to his enemies. Enraged, Tianmo vowed to make Long Tianqing pay. Following the case's resolution, Long Feiye and Yunxi strolled through the streets. After he complimented her kindness, she playfully urged him to repeat "those four words." He instead tenderly responded, "I'm glad you're safe."

From a distance, Gu Qishao observed them, his main concern being Yunxi's safety. Back at the mansion, Chu Xifeng reported that the Emperor, wary of Long Feiye, was transferring custody of the Poison Master to the Second Prince, Long Tianqing. The location would be moved every half-month, known only to the two of them. Long Tianqing then ruthlessly ordered the disposal of anyone who knew about the transfer. At a restaurant, Crown Prince Tianmo revealed a scheme to his subordinate.

He would pretend to rescue Yu Ze for Gu Qishao by giving her a fake-death pill but would secretly administer a real poison as well. He planned to blame Long Feiye for the additional poison, thus securing Gu Qishao's unwavering loyalty and sowing discord between his two rivals. At Herb-Ghost Valley, Gu Qishao discovered Tianmo's treachery, realizing Yu Ze had been given a second, fast-acting poison.

Furious, his subordinate wished to kill Tianmo, but Gu Qishao stopped him, stating the Crown Prince still had value. He used golden needles to place Yu Ze in a preserved state, vowing to wake her one day. Just then, Beili's Crown Prince Jun Yizheng arrived, calling Gu Qishao a "waste" on behalf of his father.

Gu Qishao retorted that he now controlled Tianning's Crown Prince and had intelligence on the Poison Master's upcoming transfer, presenting a prime opportunity for Beili to seize him and create their own army of gu-abetted men. Later, Yunxi found Gu Qishao eating alone at a noodle shop she had once recommended. He lamented that she had yet to properly repay him for his help.

Acknowledging his feelings, Yunxi agreed to meet him at the same shop in ten days to treat him to a meal, which he happily accepted. Meanwhile, Long Feiye consolidated his power by purging the Grand Marshal’s allies from the court. Impressed by Feiye's growing popularity and effective governance, Tang Li wistfully wondered when they could finally reveal their true identities as descendants of Qinxi.
