Hot Girl Episode 11 Recap
> Hot Girl Recap
Upon learning that Xiong Kuohai was her biological father, Guan Xiaodi's mind flooded with memories of her childhood with her mother, and she wept. Her father asked her about her biggest regret, to which she replied, "Not having a complete family as a child." He then asked who ruined her family, and she named "Xiong Tao," admitting her hatred for him.
Her father confirmed that Xiong Kuohai was indeed Xiong Tao, her biological father who had been missing for fifteen years. He recounted how, fifteen years ago, when Guan Xiaodi was not yet four, Xiong Tao, also known as Xiong Kuohai, heartlessly divorced her mother and abandoned them. Her mother then left their hometown with a young Guan Xiaodi, enduring many hardships before they arrived in Nanqing City.
Guan Xiaodi asked if Liang Dawei and his mother were the reason for their abandonment, but her father dismissed the question, stating its importance didn't matter. She vowed to make him pay for the hardships her mother faced.
Her father then told her that the best revenge would be to prove to Xiong Kuohai that she was the best, to beat him, and then, once he recognized her efforts, tell him she was the daughter he abandoned, making him regret his decision. Guan Xiaodi agreed, determined to show him she could live well and beautifully despite his abandonment. She also reaffirmed to her father that he was her only father. Guan Xiaodi, resolved, then returned to the L.
H. S. D. training camp. Guan Xiaodi attempted to take the blame again for the system intrusion, refusing to betray her comrades. She asserted that she would not leave and would become the person L. H. S. D. needed most, emphasizing that mistakes were opportunities for growth. Xiong Kuohai, however, informed her that Cui Tianqi had already confessed to the hacking and, acknowledging her talent, he had awarded her three points.
He told Guan Xiaodi that while he appreciated her loyalty, everyone in a team must shoulder their own responsibilities, and she should not casually take responsibility for others. Cui Tianqi later confronted Guan Xiaodi, asking why she had taken the blame and expressing her fear that Guan Xiaodi would be expelled for protecting her.
As punishment for her admitted wrongdoing, Xiong Kuohai deducted ten points from Guan Xiaodi, leaving her with seventy-seven points, making her goal of achieving first place significantly harder. Guan Xiaodi, undeterred, declared she would quickly earn those points back. Xiong Kuohai announced a surprise for the tired trainees after three weeks of camp, which turned out to be a challenging hike.
Guan Xiaodi, known by her codename Firewolf Girl, and others reached the mountain summit first, earning the chance to go hang gliding. Liang Dawei tried to talk to Guan Xiaodi during the hike, but she told him to address her by her codename and reiterated her focus on training and earning points, dismissing his questions about "them." When it was her turn for hang gliding, Guan Xiaodi hesitated, revealing her fear of heights, a psychological obstacle.
Xiong Kuohai urged her to overcome it or quit if she was too scared. Remembering her father's words about revenge and her resolve to live beautifully despite being abandoned, she refused to quit, facing Xiong Kuohai's challenge that giving up was not an option. She then successfully launched into the air, overcoming her fear and feeling a profound connection to her mother. After the exercise, Guan Xiaodi was called to speak with Xiong Kuohai.
Before their conversation, Liang Dawei, noticing Guan Xiaodi’s sudden coldness towards him since her return, spoke to Cui Tianqi, who said she didn't know why Guan Xiaodi had changed or if she had mentioned him. Liang Dawei expressed his concern, wondering if Guan Xiaodi no longer liked him. During her conversation with Xiong Kuohai, Guan Xiaodi subtly probed into his personal life, asking about his past as a special forces soldier and the importance of L. H. S. D.
to him. She asked if Liang Dawei had looked up to him and if he truly loved Liang Dawei, to which Xiong Kuohai responded that every father loves his own kids. She then directly asked, "Is White Shark your only child?" Xiong Kuohai confirmed, "Yes. He's my only child." This answer deepened Guan Xiaodi's resentment. Unaware of Guan Xiaodi's true identity or her recent discovery, Xiong Kuohai continued their conversation. She then asked whether his child or L. H. S.
D. was more important, and he replied that both were important. Later, Liang Dawei confronted Guan Xiaodi, asking why she was avoiding him and if their past connection meant nothing. He recalled their closeness and his hopes for their future. Guan Xiaodi, however, coldly told him, "I don't like you." When he refused to believe her, she firmly stated, "Everything is over now."
Despite his plea that he would keep waiting for her, she replied, "I don't need you to wait for me," and walked away, leaving him visibly heartbroken. The trainees then embarked on a foot training exercise, a trek through a geographically diverse and vast area where the linear path alone was at least 20 km. They had a ten-hour time limit. The first to reach the meeting point would earn five extra points.
Guan Xiaodi, determined to win, declared the points were hers and rushed ahead of the group. Meanwhile, Ju Liang, who had gotten lost, encountered Cui Tianqi and decided to follow her, believing in her "sixth sense" for direction. He inquired about Guan Xiaodi, and Cui Tianqi explained that Guan Xiaodi was too focused on winning first place to join them. Near the finish line, Ju Liang shamelessly sprinted ahead, abandoning Cui Tianqi to claim the five bonus points for himself.
During the trek, Guan Xiaodi was bitten by a funnel-web spider and began to feel unwell, her vision blurring. Fortunately, Liang Dawei found her. Despite her pain, he urged her to move, quickly identifying the spider bite and treating her wound. As her condition worsened, he insisted on carrying her back to the meeting point, overcoming her initial resistance. As other trainees started arriving at the meeting point, concern grew for Guan Xiaodi and Liang Dawei, who were still missing.
Liang Dawei eventually arrived at the infirmary, carrying an unconscious Guan Xiaodi. The doctor assured them that the spider's poison was not strong and had been cleaned from her blood; she was now fine. Xiong Kuohai commended Liang Dawei, telling him that he did a good job and that Guan Xiaodi would have been in danger if he hadn't carried her back.
Liang Dawei responded that he was simply following Xiong Kuohai's own teaching: never abandon or give up on comrades. As Guan Xiaodi recovered in the infirmary, flashbacks to Liang Dawei's heartbreak and her cold rejection, as well as her conversation with Xiong Kuohai about his "only child," played in her mind.
Meanwhile, the trainees discussed the updated point standings, noting that Liang Dawei had fallen out of the top three and Guan Xiaodi out of the top ten, raising concerns about her chances of joining L. H. S. D. With only one week of training camp left, Guan Xiaodi, feeling better, resolved to catch up on her points.
Xiong Kuohai delivered a final lecture on the three "forevers" of a bodyguard, emphasizing vigilance, self-control, and logical organization of life, which triggered more flashbacks for Guan Xiaodi about her father's abandonment.
