While Fan Yunyi and Xu Ziqian were having dinner, Zhang Minghan unexpectedly appeared, confronting Ziqian about his work negligence and the projects he had halted. It was during this heated exchange that Fan Yunyi finally understood the depth of Xu Ziqian’s hatred for the Shan family and why he had forbidden her from ever mentioning them, revealing that Shan Yaolong, on his deathbed, had apologized to Xu Ziqian, and that Shan Junhao's biggest mistake was hurting Fan Yunyi.
Meanwhile, Shan Junhao had found his way back to Guanmei Inn, starting as a supervisor. Although he could feel the joy that being "Tonghao" brought, he acknowledged that he could not fully transform into that persona. Ye Qianyu, seeing his struggles, gently reassured him that Shan Junhao was an integral part of Tonghao. Unable to secure other employment, he returned to Guanmei Inn to help manage the business, embracing his role and proclaiming, "This is my home."
Fan Yunyi began a course of psychological counseling. During a hypnosis session, she vividly recalled her childhood, realizing that it was Ziqian, not Junhao, who had first seen her and expressed a desire to bring her home. Tears streamed down her face as she remembered Ziqian's years of silent affection. This revelation helped her untangle her emotions, leading to a profound sense of understanding.
When Ziqian openly confessed his love, she responded by saying she needed a little more time to truly consider his proposal. For his part, Xu Ziqian had never truly valued Senwell. Now, seeing Fan Yunyi's improving state, he only wanted to hasten their departure and embark on a new life together. Mama Jinzhi, noticing Mrs. Shan's longing for her children, gently encouraged her to visit Fan Yunyi. Ye Qianyu handed Shan Junhao the car keys, suggesting he drive his mother.
Shan Junhao, anticipating that Fan Yunyi might not want to see him, chose to wait in the car while his mother went inside. Mrs. Shan, overwhelmed with guilt, expressed her apologies to Fan Yunyi for not taking good care of her.

Upon hearing that Ziqian intended to leave and that Fan Yunyi would accompany him, Mrs. Shan found some peace, although she acknowledged that Ziqian's feelings towards the Shan family would never return to what they once were, understanding that the Shan family had indeed wronged him. Shan Junhao later asked his mother about Fan Yunyi, and Mrs. Shan told him that Fan Yunyi was doing well and planning to leave with Ziqian.
When Shan Junhao and his mother returned to Guanmei Inn, they found Taichu's car. Taichu indicated he had some questions about Senwell for Shan Junhao, prompting Ye Qianyu and Mrs. Shan to leave them for a private conversation. Taichu informed Shan Junhao that Xu Ziqian had abruptly suspended several significant projects, including the Guanmei, St. Lucia, Seychelles, and Marrakech developments. Shan Junhao initially stated he was no longer involved with Senwell.
However, Taichu went on to explain that Ziqian allegedly halted these projects to fully commit to a national chain supermarket development in partnership with Marv. Taichu pointed out that Marv was Senwell's primary competitor, known for its complex background and aggressive business tactics. He also noted that the suspended projects were ones Shan Junhao had spearheaded.
Zhang Minghan and the board of directors were against Ziqian's decision, arguing that he lacked the authority to arbitrarily halt projects based on personal preference. These projects, with their substantial projected revenues and significant initial investments, would incur immense losses if terminated. Knowing Ziqian was aware of these repercussions, Taichu found his actions perplexing. Taichu expressed a dire premonition: Ziqian was no fool and understood the ramifications.
Since Senwell no longer held value for him, and with Mrs. Shan's confirmation that Ziqian intended to leave with Fan Yunyi, Taichu feared that Ziqian's ultimate goal might be the destruction of Senwell.
Later that evening, after a meeting with Mr. Qin from Marv where Ziqian stated his actions were "for myself only" and not for the approval of others, a drunken Ziqian returned home and passionately confessed his long-held love to Fan Yunyi, telling her how much he missed her every moment they were apart.
He implored her to be with him and to leave everything behind to start a new life in a place just for them, to which Fan Yunyi added, "And Daisy," and he agreed. Moved by his heartfelt declaration, Fan Yunyi finally accepted his proposal, agreeing to be with him and embark on their new life together.
Determined to intervene, Shan Junhao went to Senwell to confront Xu Ziqian and urge him to reconsider halting the Guanmei project, highlighting Marv's poor reputation. However, Ziqian refused to listen, dismissively stating his absolute authority as chairman and expressing no interest in Junhao's input or the future of Senwell, even bringing up their fathers' past and how Shan Junhao's father had treated his. With no success, Junhao then sought out Fan Yunyi.
He apologized for his past actions, admitting that he had confused their family bond with romantic love, causing her pain, and taking full responsibility. Fan Yunyi, now at peace, accepted his apology and, in turn, apologized for her own stubborn obsession, acknowledging the trouble she had caused for Junhao and Ye Qianyu. She reiterated that it was Ziqian, not Junhao, who was the first person to bring her into the Shan family.
Junhao then informed her of the serious concerns surrounding Ziqian’s partnership with Marv. When Fan Yunyi later tried to discuss the Marv collaboration with Ziqian, he reacted with anger, suspecting Shan Junhao had influenced her. He refused to discuss the matter, reminding her of the past pain caused by the Shan family, which he considered a nightmare he could never forget.
Taichu later reported the unsettling situation at Senwell to Mr. Wang of GQ, highlighting the volatile state of affairs within the company and the significant financial penalties that would arise from the breach of contract on projects like Guanmei. He mentioned Ziqian's increasingly close ties with Mr. Qin from Marv, a company notorious in the industry for its involvement in illegal money-laundering schemes. Mr. Wang expressed concern, wondering why Xu Ziqian would associate with Mr. Qin.
