Xu Ziqian provided Xie Quan with Ye Qianyu's personal information, instructing him on how to craft a sensational story. Xie Quan, recognizing the "juicy" and "explosive" nature of the material, understood that Xu Ziqian's motive was for Fan Yunyi.
Xu Ziqian cautioned him against including any unnecessary information in the news, and Xie Quan assured him of his journalistic professionalism, promising a headline-worthy story for the next day. True to Xie Quan's word, the following morning, Mama Jinzhi and Shengzhe were ambushed by reporters outside their home, who aggressively questioned them about Ye Qianyu's alleged involvement in Shan Junhao's amnesia and a supposed scheme to marry into wealth.

Back at the company, Jiang Caiyue confronted Shan Junhao, suggesting that the best way to quell the rumors was to immediately marry Fan Yunyi. Shan Junhao then instructed Dawei to find every means to delete all online attacks against Ye Qianyu. Dawei reported that several partners had canceled meetings and a commercial deal was postponed. Shan Junhao told the Publicity Department to hold off on any statements and asked Director Xu (Xu Ziqian) to investigate the news source. Zhang Minghan appeared, criticizing Shan Junhao for the negative impact on Senwell and accusing him of creating scandals.
He then confronted Xu Ziqian for acting without consulting him, questioning if his actions would truly win Fan Yunyi's affection. Later, Zhang Minghan met with Mr. Qiu and Mr. Lin, recently released from jail with his help. They presented him with critical evidence: a copy of Xu Yifeng’s equity transfer agreement to Shan Yaolong and a news report about the Changfeng Yacht’s explosion, both dated on the same day.
They suggested that Shan Yaolong had orchestrated the explosion, noting the yacht was a gift from him to Xu Yifeng. He then declared himself Ye Qianyu's "boyfriend-to-be," expressing hope for a more official status, and swiftly escorted her away. Shan Junhao abandoned the reporters and ran after them.
Ye Qianyu confronted Shan Junhao, explaining that they belonged to different worlds and that her simple life as a grocery store girl was incompatible with his status, family, and career, which were burdens she could not bear. She expressed her desire for the past to remain in the past.
Taichu then intervened, urging Shan Junhao to let go if he truly cared for Ye Qianyu, highlighting the immense scrutiny and "burden" she would face by being with him, and asserting that Shan Junhao would only make her "a public enemy." Taichu revealed that both he and Ye Qianyu had resigned from their jobs and planned to leave the country together. Ye Qianyu confirmed her decision to leave.
She then went to Fan Yunyi, apologizing for any harm she had caused to her and Senwell, announcing her departure from the company and Fan Yunyi's life, and wishing her and Shan Junhao happiness. She left the bracelet on Fan Yunyi's table. Following Zhang Minghan’s lead, Xu Ziqian visited Ding Yuanxun, Shan Yaolong's former assistant. Ding Yuanxun, living a desolate life, admitted to receiving his "due punishment" for his past actions.
He tearfully recounted how Xu Yifeng and his wife were the kindest people he knew. Ding Yuanxun confessed that Shan Yaolong, under the guise of saving Senwell by raising funds, forcibly acquired Xu Yifeng's shares. On the very same day, Shan Yaolong gave Xu Yifeng a yacht, then orchestrated its explosion, killing Xu Yifeng and his wife to eliminate any future threats. After the incident, Shan Yaolong paid Ding Yuanxun to disappear and bury the secret forever. Filled with rage, Xu Ziqian vowed to make the Shan family pay for their deeds.
