Taichu reasoned that while Xie Quan might appear foolish and reckless, he was calculating and would not provoke the formidable Senwell Group without strong backing. They speculated the instigator could be driven by business rivalry or personal vendettas.
The unexpected turnaround in the Xie Quan incident garnered significant positive publicity for Senwell Hotel and the entire group. Stock prices rose, client confidence was restored, and investors continued their cooperation. Shan Junhao had become a public hero. However, Fan Yunyi remained wary, sensing that Xie Quan's challenge might have had ulterior motives.
Xu Ziqian, aiming to distance himself and Zhang Minghan from any blame, pointed fingers at Marv, recalling their previous espionage, which had revealed Zhao Qun leaking Senwell’s commercial secrets to Marv. Despite the public relations victory, Senwell Hotel's revenue remained unsatisfactory, and Shan Junhao knew he could not relax. He instructed all departments to submit solutions, not just problems, and to conduct a thorough internal investigation, particularly among staff with access to core company secrets, while closely monitoring Marv's activities.
Xu Ziqian considered exploiting the situation between Shan Junhao and Ye Qianyu. Zhang Minghan, however, strongly advised against it, reminding Xu Ziqian that the Xie Quan incident had already shaken Senwell's foundations. Further internal strife by removing Shan Junhao would leave an even bigger mess to clean up. He urged Xu Ziqian not to let personal feelings cloud his judgment, emphasizing caution. Meanwhile, a secretary handed Fan Yunyi a profile of the employee who filmed the video of Xie Quan.
Fan Yunyi was shocked and uneasy to discover it was Ye Qianyu. Later, she subtly tried to confirm this with Shan Junhao while discussing their wedding arrangements. When she mentioned the frog doll and the employee, Shan Junhao openly admitted it was Ye Qianyu. Carrying their own burdens, Fan Yunyi and Xu Ziqian talked for a long time, but neither could truly console the other.

He often neglected Fan Yunyi's feelings, prioritizing work, and perceived her more as family than a romantic partner. Shan Junhao's mother, Chairman Jiang, announced her upcoming birthday party, intending to use it as an opportunity for her son to reconnect with former associates and solidify his path to the chairman's position. Shan Junhao, typically averse to such social events, agreed for his mother and the welfare of Senwell.
Xu Ziqian, present during this discussion, felt a pang of resentment, believing that position rightfully belonged to his own family. Separately, Taichu explained Ye Qianyu's work at Senwell to Mama Jinzhi. Mama Jinzhi, having earlier been told by Ye Qianyu she was a manager but discovered otherwise when delivering lunch, finally understood her daughter's dedication and hard work as a cleaner.
Taichu clarified that Ye Qianyu had insisted on starting from the bottom to gain comprehensive experience, and her actions had twice helped resolve Senwell's crises. Reassured, Mama Jinzhi no longer worried about Taichu's care for Ye Qianyu and accepted her work. Fan Yunyi personally delivered Chairman Jiang’s birthday invitation to Taichu, pointedly suggesting he bring a female companion. Taichu then invited Ye Qianyu to be his date.
Ye Qianyu was hesitant, admitting she’d never attended such a grand event and feared embarrassing him. She arrived at the grand villa with Taichu, feeling a sense of nostalgia from a previous visit. However, a sudden call from her manager forced her to temporarily step in as a hotel server for the party, threatening her job if she refused. She quickly changed into a cleaning uniform.
Mama Jinzhi, who arrived to bring the uniform, was furious upon learning her daughter would be serving guests at Shan Junhao's home and insisted Ye Qianyu leave. But Ye Qianyu, committed to her work, gently persuaded her mother to let her stay, explaining her desire to gain experience. Mama Jinzhi, needing to use the restroom, wandered upstairs. Shan Junhao and Taichu intervened. Shan Junhao clarified that Ye Qianyu was merely an intern.
Taichu, identifying himself as GQ Ventures' special consultant, vouched for Mama Jinzhi’s character and highlighted the presence of Mr. Wang from GQ Ventures, subtly urging Chairman Jiang to avoid a bigger scene at her party. Reluctantly, Chairman Jiang released Mama Jinzhi and Ye Qianyu, instructing them to return the bracelet once the swelling subsided. Fan Yunyi kindly suggested using hand cream to remove it. Taichu departed, and Chairman Jiang, still annoyed, commented on the "bummer" event before attempting to resume the party.
