Ye Shengzhe and Mama Jinzhi found a letter addressed to Ye Qianyu from Shan Junhao suspicious. Ye Shengzhe questioned why Shan Junhao wouldn't simply call if he needed her, and why the letter was sent to Guanmei Inn instead of Qianlaiye, their store. Mama Jinzhi advised Qianyu against going to Senwell, urging her to maintain her pride, noting that Shan Junhao had not contacted her since his departure.
Qianyu, however, insisted on going, convinced that "Tonghao" needed her and she needed to speak with him. Taichu intervened, suggesting that a face-to-face conversation was necessary to resolve matters. Despite Mama Jinzhi's continued reluctance, she eventually agreed, hoping Qianyu might find closure upon seeing him. Concerned about the suspicious circumstances, Taichu later decided to follow Qianyu to Senwell to ensure her safety.
Upon arriving at Senwell, Qianyu was met by Zhao Qun, an assistant who immediately escorted her to the board meeting. Unaware of the trap, Qianyu found herself in a large room where Shan Junhao and Zhang Minghan were in a heated debate. Zhang Minghan was attempting to hold Shan Junhao responsible for the failure of the Guanmei Development Project, specifically accusing him of halting the project due to the discovery of white dolphins.
Shan Junhao, suffering from amnesia, had no recollection of these events, nor that it was his own idea to use the white dolphins to prevent the development. Zhang Minghan had brought Qianyu there to expose Shan Junhao's actions in Guanmei to the board. When asked by Zhang Minghan about "Tonghao's" contributions, a naive Qianyu, unaware of the trap, enthusiastically recounted how he improved Guanmei Inn and discovered the Chinese white dolphins.
Zhang Minghan then used this information to accuse Shan Junhao of sabotaging Senwell's vital Guanmei project, making it clear that such actions were unacceptable for a general manager. Shan Junhao asserted that he remembered nothing of his time in Guanmei. He declared Qianyu a liar, recalling only her attempts to extort money from him and falsely accuse him of damaging her hot air balloon after he nearly died falling from it.
He insisted he could not have been involved with such a person, dismissing any claims of a relationship with her as fabrication. Realizing she had been manipulated to incriminate "Tonghao," Qianyu quickly changed her narrative. She confessed to everyone present that she was indeed a liar. She admitted that she had recognized Shan Junhao immediately after his accident but deliberately concealed his identity, even giving him the name "Tonghao."
Her goal, she claimed, was to gain his trust and affections to fulfill her dream of marrying a rich man. She took full responsibility for finding the white dolphins and using their photos to halt the demolition of Guanmei Inn, explicitly stating that Shan Junhao had no involvement. After this self-incriminating declaration, Qianyu left the meeting. Qianyu's confession did not deter Zhang Minghan, who then presented photos from her social media, showcasing intimate moments with Shan Junhao.
These images strongly suggested a romantic relationship, leaving Shan Junhao with no further defense, despite his continued amnesia about their past. Just as the board was about to confirm Zhang Minghan as the new general manager, Xu Ziqian arrived. He brought two individuals who confessed to causing Shan Junhao's second car accident and identified Director Qiu and Director Lin as their instigators. These two directors, known to be close associates of Zhang Minghan, were then removed by the police.
This development cast suspicion on Zhang Minghan's conduct, leading the board to propose his suspension for investigation and appoint Shan Junhao as interim general manager. After the board meeting, Shan Junhao saw Qianyu waiting outside Senwell. He was puzzled by her actions during the meeting. Fan Yunyi reiterated her belief that Qianyu was a manipulative liar who would do anything for money, claiming her confession was simply because her lies were unraveling.
However, Shan Junhao was determined to uncover the truth about his past and whether he truly had a relationship with Qianyu, especially after seeing the photos Zhang Minghan presented. Xu Ziqian supported Shan Junhao's decision to seek answers directly from Qianyu. As Shan Junhao approached, Qianyu wiped away her tears and called out to him by his affectionate nickname. He quickly corrected her, stating he was Shan Junhao, not Tonghao.
Noticing Xu Ziqian and Fan Yunyi waiting nearby, Qianyu apologized for the commotion at the board meeting, explaining that she had mistakenly believed he had summoned her there and regretting any trouble she might have caused him. Shan Junhao, however, coldly denied knowing her or inviting her, dismissing her apology as a poor excuse.
Shan Junhao admitted he approached her only to verify Zhang Minghan's claims about their alleged relationship, as he felt nothing but disgust for her and found it impossible they had ever dated. Heartbroken, Qianyu reminded him of their shared memories in Guanmei Fishing Village: his carrying her out of Devil Forest's heavenly pit, his stories of constellations, his injury while searching for Chinese white dolphins, their time at a classmate party, and riding the Ferris wheel.
She emphasized how "Tonghao" had always protected her in times of need. However, Shan Junhao remembered nothing, accusing her of fabricating stories to entangle him, and even suspecting that Tang Shunming used her to avoid an eight-million-dollar debt to Senwell. Deeply hurt by his insinuation that she only wanted money, Qianyu sarcastically quoted him a price of 800,000 for "eight words" about their relationship, which he readily accepted, promising to send a contract. Qianyu, despite her pain, affirmed her word.
Taichu found Qianyu crying outside Senwell and took her home. During dinner, Qianyu demanded alcohol to cope with her sorrow. Despite Mama Jinzhi's reservations about Qianyu's behavior when drunk, Taichu allowed her to drink. Qianyu became unruly, shouting insults at "Tonghao," calling him a "rat bastard" and a "jerk." She also humorously aired grievances against Mama Jinzhi, labeling her "cheap and stingy," and Ye Shengzhe, calling him "fake" and manipulative.
Later, as Taichu carried her to her room, Qianyu clung to him, repeatedly pleading "Tonghao, don't go, don't leave me alone." Meanwhile, Shan Junhao, haunted by Qianyu's earlier words about their shared past, found himself drinking alone, still deeply conflicted and filled with doubt. The next morning, Mama Jinzhi recounted Qianyu's embarrassing drunken antics, including her insistence on Taichu staying and her constant calling of "Tonghao."
