The photography exhibition for Guanmei Fishing Village was underway. As Ye Qianyu and Tonghao arranged the displays, Tonghao asked Qianyu if she cared about his past. Qianyu replied that she couldn't care about a past she didn't even know. Later, Fengqiao excitedly announced that Dadao, a blogger with a million followers, had accepted Qianyu's invitation to the exhibition. Everyone was thrilled, but Taichu remained unusually calm. Qianyu questioned Taichu's unperturbed reaction, asking if he knew Dadao.
Taichu vaguely responded, "Kind of," but claimed he wasn't very familiar with him, though noting they were both travelers. During the exhibition, Taichu was introduced as the photographer behind many of the new images, highlighting his status as a traveler. Despite Dadao’s acceptance, he did not make an appearance on the day of the exhibition, disappointing many, including Su Liyin.
That evening, however, Su Liyin discovered Dadao’s Weibo post, which featured photos from the exhibition and praised Guanmei as a place that makes one "want to linger on, and . . . protect it." Everyone then realized Dadao had been there but remained unseen. Su Liyin speculated that Dadao must be "ugly to the core" to hide his face, a sentiment that many others echoed. The photography exhibition had an immediate positive impact on Guanmei Inn.
Bookings surged, and the occupancy rate hit a historical high of ninety-eight percent, with 122 guests. To celebrate, everyone gathered for a joyous dinner. Tang Shunming expressed deep gratitude to Tonghao for bringing new vitality and life to Guanmei Inn. Tonghao, in turn, thanked everyone for their collective efforts and for giving him a new beginning. They all raised a toast to the "mysterious and modest traveler," Dadao, who had played a significant role in promoting the inn.
Seizing the celebratory mood, Qianyu surprised Tonghao with a cake, declaring that day his birthday every year from then on. Deeply moved, Tonghao made a wish that he could spend every future birthday with Ye Qianyu. After the party, with many having had too much to drink, Qianyu was idly handling Taichu’s camera when she discovered photos identical to those on Dadao’s Weibo.
She and Tonghao confronted Taichu, who, with a wry smile, admitted that he was indeed Dadao, making a humorous reference to Su Liyin’s earlier comment about his "ugliness." Qianyu and Tonghao thanked him profusely for all his help. Taichu explained that he hadn't intentionally hidden his identity and that his reasons for supporting Guanmei were the same as those expressed in his Weibo post.
He then excused himself to answer a phone call, which he had been avoiding for days, from Mr. Wang's representatives. While taking a walk by the sea, Qianyu continued to express her gratitude towards Taichu, causing Tonghao to feel a pang of jealousy. Qianyu, sensing his mood, reassured him that he was "one of us," while Taichu was merely a "guest," which immediately lifted Tonghao’s spirits.
Qianyu then voiced her concerns about his potential departure should he ever regain his memory. Tonghao acknowledged her worries and promised that he couldn't control his feelings for her. He assured her that even if his memory returned, he would never leave Guanmei or her, sealing his promise with a pinkie swear. Meanwhile, Taichu met with Mr. Wang's representatives.
They questioned his public support for Guanmei Fishing Village on Weibo, stating that it compromised the company's impartial stance, especially since Mr. Wang had not yet approved his report and Senwell had not completed revisions for the Guanmei development project. Taichu asserted that his feasibility report was objectively written and that his Weibo posts reflected his personal affection for Guanmei Fishing Village, adding that his findings and public statements were entirely consistent.
He made it clear that Senwell or GQ Ventures' acceptance was not his concern, and that they would soon see the final outcome. The representatives informed him that Mr. Wang would return from abroad soon for a face-to-face meeting. Separately, Zhang Minghan was discussing the Guanmei project's future. He expressed that Shan Junhao’s disappearance, the discovery of Chinese white dolphins, and Dadao’s public support had all raised doubts about Senwell’s project with GQ Ventures.
He worried that without Shan Junhao, they couldn’t appease Mr. Wang’s concerns. Fan Yunyi, overhearing him, sarcastically questioned why Zhang Minghan had sought the General Manager position if he couldn't handle matters that Shan Junhao could. Back at Guanmei Inn, Taichu found himself overwhelmed by the villagers' star-struck reactions now that his identity as Dadao was revealed. They treated him like a celebrity, compelling him to seek a quiet place to escape the attention.
Taichu also asked Qianyu if Tonghao was really her cousin, and Qianyu finally admitted the truth, explaining how she hit him with her car and he lost his memory. Later, as Qianyu was about to deliver takeout, her car broke down again. Taichu offered her his car, which she reluctantly accepted to avoid delays.
At Guanmei Inn, Qianyu unexpectedly ran into her former classmates, Dai Anfen and Mike, who immediately made snide remarks, comparing Guanmei unfavorably to the luxurious Senwell Hotel they frequented. Dai Anfen ridiculed Qianyu’s simple life and inquired about her boyfriend. To counter their condescending attitude, Qianyu exaggerated, boasting about her rich and handsome boyfriend who had saved Guanmei and frequently showered her with car and villa keys. She gestured to Taichu's luxurious car, claiming it was her boyfriend's.
Dai Anfen, keen to see Qianyu embarrassed, then insisted that Qianyu bring her boyfriend to an upcoming class reunion. Tonghao, who overheard the conversation, initially thought Qianyu was talking about him. However, when he realized she was implying Taichu was her boyfriend, his face darkened with anger. Tonghao's anger manifested in his work; he became overly strict, scolding staff for minor missteps.
Qianyu brought him a homemade bento box, but he brusquely handed it to Su Liyin, who eagerly accepted it, mistaking it as a gesture of affection. Su Liyin then made a show of eating the "ugly" bento, further fueling Qianyu's jealousy. Tonghao deliberately acted affectionately towards Su Liyin, driving Qianyu to frustration. Mama Jinzhi, wanting to help Qianyu, tried to convince Taichu to accompany Qianyu to her upcoming class reunion, but he declined, citing an important meeting. Mama Jinzhi then suggested that Tonghao could impersonate Taichu, since Dai Anfen hadn't met Taichu. Qianyu, after some hesitation, agreed to the plan.
