Fated Hearts Episode 32 Recap
> Fated Hearts Recap
Fu Yixiao courageously confronted Feng Suige, stating that if he wished to kill her, she would allow it. She reminded him of their shared past, how she was once the Red-Clad General of Jinxiu, his mortal enemy, his most trusted partner, and his beloved. She affirmed that regardless of their past or present circumstances, she had always been his Yixiao. Feng Suige was overcome with emotion, asking "Why?" as tears streamed down his face.
Fu Yixiao, understanding his internal struggle, said she knew he still cared for her. She recalled his past promise that if he ever forgot her, she could be angry, hit, or scold him, but never to be disappointed or leave him. A flashback showed Fu Yixiao teaching Feng Suige archery, instructing him to relax, breathe, clear his mind, and let his heart guide his arrow.
In another memory, Feng Suige had vowed to protect her, ensuring no one would harm her, and declared his only goal was for her to always be in his future. Fu Yixiao expressed relief, believing she would lose him, but Feng Suige assured her he had always been there and would walk the path ahead with her.
As they embraced, Feng Suige’s memories fully returned, and he repeatedly apologized, to which Fu Yixiao replied that it was all over and it was enough that he remembered. Feng Xiyang, convinced that Xia Jingshi was responsible for her and her family's misfortune, vowed revenge. She approached Xia Jingyan, offering to help him expose Xia Jingshi's hidden spies within the palace.
She recounted how Xia Jingshi had once asked her to leave a book in the library for someone to retrieve, suggesting a mole was still active. Despite Xia Jingyan's initial skepticism, Feng Xiyang insisted her current plight and her father's and brother's fates all stemmed from Xia Jingshi, and he must pay. Xia Jingyan agreed to her plan. Following Feng Xiyang's instructions, Xia Jingyan had Rongyang Palace surrounded to intercept any messages.
Bai Shouzhuo, a eunuch loyal to Xia Jingshi, was caught in the imperial kitchen trying to hide a secret message in food destined for Rongyang Palace. When confronted by Feng Xiyang, he claimed innocence, but Feng Xiyang explained her trap, confirming he was the spy. Xia Jingyan ordered Bai Shouzhuo arrested and tortured, then summoned Xia Jingshi. Xia Jingyan presented the accused Bai Shouzhuo, stating he had confessed to being Xia Jingshi's mole.
Xia Jingshi denied any close connection to the eunuch, who in turn desperately pleaded his innocence to Xia Jingyan. Unconvinced, Xia Jingyan challenged Xia Jingshi: if he admitted Bai Shouzhuo was his man, he would be freed. Xia Jingshi refused to acknowledge him. Xia Jingyan then commanded Xia Jingshi to kill Bai Shouzhuo to prove his innocence. To spare Xia Jingshi the dilemma, Bai Shouzhuo, proclaiming that he had served loyally since childhood, impaled himself on Xia Jingshi's sword.
Observing Xia Jingshi's subtle sorrow over this act of ultimate fealty, Xia Jingyan concluded that Bai Shouzhuo was indeed Xia Jingshi's spy. Later, Xia Jingyan, elated at Xia Jingshi's loss, asked Feng Xiyang what she desired. Her single request was for Xia Jingyan to eliminate Murong Zhong and his son. Xia Jingshi, in a private conversation with an attendant, acknowledged that Feng Xiyang's transformation was his fault and that she had become a dangerous new enemy.
He cautioned against rash action, emphasizing the need to first identify the Empress Dowager's guards and the patrol routes of the Imperial Guards before striking Xia Jingyan and ensuring their own safe retreat. Alone, Feng Xiyang mourned her father and brother, acknowledging the perilous path of revenge she now walked without their protection. After recovering his memories, Feng Suige and Fu Yixiao planned to leave the Storm Alliance.
Ning Fei, now considering Feng Suige his "buddy" after being thanked by Fu Yixiao for his help, cautioned them about the alliance's strict rules: anyone saved by them is bound for life and cannot leave without betraying the entire alliance. Fu Yixiao, recalling that the alliance's concern was likely the revelation of its hidden location, suggested they could swear an oath never to disclose its secrets.
Ling Feng and An Gu joined the discussion, trying to persuade Elder Lei to be lenient, emphasizing Feng Suige's deep-seated desire for revenge, which meant he could not remain. Ling Feng and An Gu, as honored guests not bound by the full covenant, offered to act as guarantors if Feng Suige and Fu Yixiao joined their respective factions, and An Gu added a personal request that no harm come to Fu Yixiao and Feng Suige in any future conflict.
Lei Lie, though accommodating their requests not to harm Feng Suige and Fu Yixiao, remained firm on the rules. Meanwhile, Lu Ke, whom Feng Suige had sent out to search for their missing men, was apprehended by Elder Lei's Woodcutter Branch, which was responsible for patrolling the alliance borders and preventing unauthorized departures. Lu Ke was sentenced to fifty lashes. Fu Yixiao and Feng Suige arrived as the punishment was being administered.
Fu Yixiao apologized for their oversight regarding the rules, but Feng Suige questioned the rule's origin, believing his mother, the founder of the alliance, would not have instituted such a harsh punishment. Elder Lei, however, revealed that the flogging rule was enacted after a past incident where a departing member led Susha's army to attack the alliance, nearly destroying it. He argued that the Feng family had no right to question these rules.
Feng Suige countered, stating that as the former Commander-in-Chief, he had reviewed all Susha military records and found no evidence of an attack on the alliance, suggesting they might be "hating the wrong person." He then offered to take the remaining lashes in Lu Ke's stead, but Fu Yixiao and Ling Feng intervened. Despite their pleas, Feng Suige firmly declared his intention to leave the alliance.
Elder Lei, out of respect for Ling Feng, allowed Lu Ke to be spared the remaining lashes but warned Feng Suige that their personal feud was far from settled and he would make him pay for it. Feng Chengyang, disbelieving that his brother Feng Pingcheng was the regicide, tasked Shen Wu with investigating the late Emperor's assassination. Shen Wu reported that on the day of the assassination, all Imperial Guards had been mysteriously redeployed.
Feng Chengyang, realizing that only the Murong family or the Empress Dowager could have ordered such a maneuver, was left deeply troubled. Separately, Zhou Hao approached Feng Suige, asking if he would resort to bloodshed to leave the alliance, given his reputation as the "Killer God of Susha." Feng Suige firmly promised not to harm anyone in the Storm Alliance, citing their life-saving grace. Disappointed by this, Zhou Hao later conspired with Zhang Dongshi.
They had initially hoped to use Feng Suige to eliminate Lei Lie, but with Feng Suige refusing to kill, they decided their plan had failed. Zhang Dongshi, eager to escape the mountains and utilize his talents, urged Zhou Hao to act quickly, as Feng Suige was still weakened from his recovery and would be harder to kill later.
Zhou Hao agreed to Zhang Dongshi's proposal to kill Feng Suige while he was weak, then eliminate Elder Lei, and finally leave the alliance, but only after Zhang Dongshi swore to help him achieve his revenge. They decided to act that very night. Meanwhile, Xia Jingyan presented Feng Xiyang with all her dowry from Susha, including a maid. When the maid embraced Feng Xiyang, she experienced a fleeting moment of recalling her past in Susha, perhaps connected to her former identity as the Princess.
