After Emperor Donghua was rescued from the water, imperial doctors swiftly attended to him. Ye Hua and Si Ming, who had briefly snuck away from the Peach Meeting, promptly left to return to the Heavenly Palace. Bai Qian reflected that despite some unexpected turns, Yuan Zhen's tribulation was now complete, ensuring his fate would be fulfilled. The Emperor, having just woken up, was deeply enamored with Fengjiu, who inhabited the body of Noble Lady Chen.
He affectionately called her "Jiu'er" and sought to promote her to Virtuous Consort, dismissing her concerns about etiquette by stating he had often disregarded such rules in his harem. Night fell quickly in the mortal realm. As Bai Qian prepared to visit Fengjiu, Yuan Zhen approached her, wanting to discuss something. He cautiously revealed a small, sparrow-sized bird, bound by an Immortal-Locking Bell.
It was the Golden-Winged Roc that had caused chaos earlier, now shrunken and looking miserable, silently pleading for release. Yuan Zhen, however, believed the bird was happy and asked Bai Qian, his teacher, to intercede with the bird's owner so he could keep it. He promised to return it upon his death as a mortal, since his lifespan was limited.
Realizing she hadn't taught him much since taking him as a disciple and that their time together was ending, Bai Qian agreed to his request as a parting gift. Ye Hua and Si Ming then appeared in the sky, prompting Bai Qian to urge them to descend before they startled anyone. Yuan Zhen, seeing them, was ecstatic to finally witness real immortals.
He asked if their visit was due to his father's benevolent rule, but Ye Hua quickly clarified that he was there to "pick up his wife," much to Yuan Zhen's astonishment and Bai Qian's mild embarrassment. Si Ming then discreetly erased Yuan Zhen's memory and put him to sleep, explaining to Bai Qian that while Yuan Zhen's fortune was now complete, the Emperor's had been slightly altered, and he needed Bai Qian's help in finding Fengjiu.
Ye Hua, teasing Bai Qian, suggested that since Yuan Zhen was her only disciple, he should now call Ye Hua "Teacher's husband," referencing Yuan Zhen's past transgression with a side consort. Bai Qian retorted that Ye Hua was holding a grudge, but Ye Hua smoothly turned it around, questioning how Yuan Zhen should be punished for holding his wife's hand.
When Bai Qian asked why they were rushing to see Fengjiu if Ye Hua was there for her, Ye Hua explained that Si Ming was there to adjust Donghua Dijun's fate, and he had simply accompanied them to visit Bai Qian.
Si Ming then added that he had brought Ye Hua to witness Bai Qian's scheme of ordering someone to push the Emperor into the water, jokingly fearing that the Emperor might banish him to the mortal realm if he found out. Si Ming confirmed that Fengjiu and the Emperor's fates had intersected, thus requiring Bai Qian's help.
After Bai Qian asked Si Ming to use magic to return Yuan Zhen to his bedchamber, the trio, made invisible by Si Ming, proceeded to Lotus Courtyard. Earlier, before Mi Gu's frantic arrival, Ye Hua had been discussing the recent attacks on Heavenly Immortals with other officials. They deduced that the Winged Monarchess, Xuan Nü, was likely using a forbidden ancient magic to cure her sickly child by killing high immortals and converting their divine bodies into pellets.
Ye Hua suspected Xuan Nü, the betrayer of Kunlun Void and the Heavenly Tribes from 70,000 years ago, was behind it, rather than Winged Monarch Li Jing. He decided to personally investigate at the Grand Purple Palace to confirm his suspicions, planning to go after the Peach Meeting. Inside Lotus Courtyard, Fengjiu sat lost in thought, looking distraught. Bai Qian gently nudged her, bringing her back to reality.
Fengjiu immediately burst into tears, hugging Bai Qian and lamenting her morning's embarrassment and how she had ruined the Emperor's fate. Ye Hua reassured her that only they knew about the deviation in the plan. Fengjiu recounted how the Emperor had held her hand while unconscious and, upon waking, looked at her with profound love, even intending to promote her consort rank. Bai Qian and Ye Hua listened in silence.
Si Ming then excitedly explained that since the Emperor had fallen deeply in love with her, Fengjiu must see the tribulation through to its end. This was the only way to prevent her from suffering backlash for interfering with Donghua Dijun's fate and to ensure his mortal trial was complete. Fengjiu cried out, asking why she had to create his tribulation instead of finding a way out.
Bai Qian interjected, admitting it might be her fault for changing Yuan Zhen's fate, which had implicated Fengjiu. Si Ming emphasized that if Donghua's fate was drastically altered, Fengjiu would certainly suffer side effects, reiterating that following his plan was the only viable solution. Fengjiu resignedly asked how she should proceed.
Si Ming instructed her to first "let Emperor taste some sweetness" and obtain his sincere love, then, once he was deeply infatuated, to "repeatedly trample on it," even offering to provide novels on the subject. Overwhelmed, Fengjiu buried her face on the table, crying. Just then, a guard announced the Emperor's arrival. Bai Qian quickly dispelled Fengjiu's "Two Lives Spell" for her, and the three immortals vanished.
The Emperor was deeply enamored with Fengjiu, expressing his desire to see her even late at night and offering to play chess despite her confessed inability, promising to let her win. He sought to understand when she entered the palace and tried to recall their first meeting, which he found unclear. Fengjiu, no longer under the Two Lives Spell, still found it difficult to speak intimately or meet his gaze directly.
He decided to give her a proper mortal wedding ceremony. Dressed in her phoenix crown and robes, while he wore his ceremonial wedding attire, they knelt and bowed to heaven and earth. Fengjiu, moved by the Emperor's profound affection, found herself questioning whether she was there to repay a debt or to seek love. Meanwhile, Ye Hua confronted Si Ming, noting the loopholes in their conversation with Fengjiu.
Si Ming confessed that Donghua Dijun's descent to the Mortal Realm was to repay an emotional debt to Bai Fengjiu, who had developed deep feelings for him. As they were not fated to be together in the long term, this mortal tribulation was designed to give her a brief, but intense, experience of love with him, though it would not have a happy ending.
Si Ming was thankful that Bai Qian's plan to help Yuan Zhen inadvertently helped Donghua and Fengjiu undergo this love tribulation together. After several days, Bai Qian was finally able to return to Qing Qiu. Ye Hua, having urgent matters at the Heavenly Palace, promised to join her in a few days. Upon entering her den, Bai Qian found Mi Gu acting strangely, realizing he was under an Enchanting Spell.
After she dispelled it, Mi Gu frantically reported that Xuan Nü had impersonated Bai Qian the previous day, stolen High God Mo Yuan's immortal body, and abducted A'Li. Enraged by this news, Bai Qian's Yuqing Kunlun Fan, dormant for five hundred years, manifested itself in the nearby lake, its seven-zhang water pillar reflecting her furious, red eyes.
Bai Qian, wielding the Yuqing Kunlun Fan, declared that it would "taste blood today" and immediately flew towards the Grand Purple Palace in the Winged Tribe. Mi Gu, panicked that Bai Qian had gone alone, suddenly remembered Crown Prince Ye Hua and rushed to the Heavenly Palace. There, he burst into the Peach Meeting, alarming the attendees.
He urgently informed Ye Hua that Xuan Nü had taken Mo Yuan's body and A'Li, and Bai Qian, enraged, had gone to the Grand Purple Palace by herself. Ye Hua, abandoning the meeting and ignoring the murmurs of other Heavenly Tribe members about his actions for Bai Qian, immediately departed for the Winged Tribe. Bai Qian confidently entered the seemingly unguarded Grand Purple Palace, realizing Xuan Nü had laid a trap.
She coldly declared her intention to "wash this Grand Purple Palace with blood." Inside the main hall, Xuan Nü stood surrounded by Winged Tribe soldiers, greeting Bai Qian with a sneer, "Qian Qian, how have you been these 70,000 years?" Xuan Nü revealed she recognized Bai Qian as Si Yin when Li Jing described Si Yin as a Fox Tribe woman.
She also taunted Bai Qian about preserving Mo Yuan's body, stating she was "so happy that my son can receive High God Mo Yuan's spirit," and offering Bai Qian a quick death as a reward. Bai Qian retorted that it depended on Xuan Nü's ability. The Yuqing Kunlun Fan surged from Bai Qian's hand, growing three feet long amidst roaring winds. Bai Qian seized it, cutting down a path through the soldiers.
During the fierce battle, the white silk covering Bai Qian's eyes was slashed away, leaving her vulnerable to the light. Overwhelmed by the numbers, she sustained multiple wounds. Just as she was about to fall, Ye Hua arrived and caught her. Recognizing Ye Hua, Bai Qian finally relaxed, smiling faintly as she remarked that if he had arrived half an hour earlier, she wouldn't be in such a state.
Ye Hua, his eyes filled with concern, embraced her, apologizing for his delay. Seeing her numerous injuries, he gently asked who had harmed her. Bai Qian, struggling to stand, declared that those who had injured her were already dead, leaving only Xuan Nü. She vowed to personally end Xuan Nü for insulting her teacher and harming her family.
With a flick of her hand, Bai Qian sent the Kunlun Fan flying towards Xuan Nü, but Li Jing suddenly rushed in, blocking the fan, which Ye Hua then caught. Xuan Nü, still under the delusion that Li Jing loved her, pleaded with him, boasting about having Bai Qian's face and suggesting they kill Bai Qian so she would be the only one with it. Li Jing, confused, asked what was happening.
Bai Qian explained that Xuan Nü had stolen her teacher's body and abducted her son, A'Li. Xuan Nü, attempting to justify her actions, claimed their son would recover with Mo Yuan's spirit, even trying to provoke Li Jing by reminding him of his past jealousy towards Mo Yuan. Li Jing, enraged, ordered her to shut up, telling her that Bai Qian was Immortal Monarch Si Yin.
Bai Qian then warned Li Jing that Mo Yuan's body, having been nurtured for 70,000 years with her heart's blood, was too potent for his son to handle. Ye Hua then confronted Li Jing, demanding to know how he wished to settle this "debt"—privately or publicly. He proposed that privately, Li Jing punish Xuan Nü by "skinning and pulling out her tendons" to appease their anger.
Publicly, it would mean war between their tribes, an opportunity for the Heavenly Tribe soldiers who were eager for battle. Xuan Nü, desperate, reminded Li Jing of her past contributions to his reign, claiming he wouldn't dare wage war. She further taunted Ye Hua, calling him merely a Crown Prince without the power to start a war over a woman.
Ye Hua, in a calm but firm voice, corrected her, stating that it was not "just for a woman," but for the revered High God Mo Yuan, the future Heavenly Monarchess Bai Qian, and his own heir, A'Li, all of whom had been humiliated in the Grand Purple Palace. He questioned if the Heavenly Soldiers would let such an affront pass. Li Jing, acknowledging Xuan Nü's madness, asked Ye Hua to let them off the hook.
Ye Hua, in turn, deferred the decision to Bai Qian. Xuan Nü then tried to provoke Ye Hua further, hinting at an improper relationship between Bai Qian and her teacher before being silenced. Ye Hua commented to Xuan Nü that Bai Qian thought they looked similar, but he didn't see it.
Bai Qian, deciding she no longer wished to see her own face on Xuan Nü, confidently stated that she, too, had learned the face-changing spell during her 70,000 years of solitude. Despite Xuan Nü's desperate pleas, Bai Qian reclaimed the face she had bestowed upon her in the Peach Blossom Forest years ago. Xuan Nü stared at her original reflection in a mirror, screaming in maddened horror, denying her true appearance.
In her frenzy, she violently gouged out her own eyes, creating a gruesome, bloody spectacle. Exhausted from the battle, Bai Qian finally collapsed into Ye Hua's arms. He gently asked if she could hold on, but Bai Qian shook her head. As a soft light enveloped her vision, she fell into a deep slumber. Ye Hua then turned to Li Jing, giving him leave to deal with Xuan Nü as he saw fit.
