> Eternal Love Recap

Crown Prince Ye Hua journeyed to the Ten Mile Peach Forest to visit Zhe Yan, seeking answers about Bai Qian's eye condition and the three centuries of her deep sleep. He wondered why Bai Qian, if she was indeed Su Su, could not remember him. Zhe Yan, although suspecting Ye Hua was the very person Bai Qian had wanted to forget from her mortal love trial, refrained from revealing this to him.

Instead, he deflected the conversation by asking why Ye Hua exclusively wore black robes. Ye Hua explained with a subtle smile that the dark color would conceal any blood if he were to be injured, thus preventing his enemies from taking satisfaction in his pain and his loved ones from worrying. Zhe Yan found this reasoning poignant, noting the hidden bitterness behind the Crown Prince's seemingly glorious life.

Zhe Yan also remarked on the striking similarity between Ye Hua and Mo Yuan in this aspect, even questioning if Ye Hua might be Mo Yuan himself, which Ye Hua denied. Later, having chosen not to return to the East Sea to avoid Ye Hua and his son, Bai Qian sought a quiet place to rest in the northern bank, planning to deliver wine to her Fourth Older Brother, Bai Zhen, the following day.

She inadvertently stumbled and fell into a cave. Inside, she discovered Winged Monarch Li Jing with another woman. As she attempted to slip away unnoticed, Li Jing saw her and, filled with deep affection, called out "Ah Yin." Bai Qian sternly rebuked him, reminding him that their relationship had ended long ago and she was no longer "Ah Yin" but Bai Qian of Green Hill, and by custom, he should address her as "Aunt."

She pointed out that he had chosen Xuan Nü and married her with grand ceremony, and therefore must have loved Xuan Nü's character and disposition, not just her resemblance to Bai Qian. Bai Qian declared that their ties were severed and they should both move on.

Despite Li Jing's heartfelt apologies and pleas, explaining his past mistakes were due to his misguided belief that she was part of the Heavenly Tribe, and how he had searched for her for 70,000 years, Bai Qian maintained her resolve. She curtly took her leave, wishing him well with the beauty currently by his side. As Bai Qian departed, Li Jing lamented that he might never find her again.

The woman with Li Jing, having overheard their exchange, probed him about Bai Qian, then expressed her desire to enter his palace. Li Jing, still reeling from Bai Qian's rejection, agreed to grant her wish, instructing Tian Shu to bring her into the Grand Purple Palace.

Back in the Heavenly Palace, Ye Hua, carrying a white ribbon Bai Qian had dropped in the East Sea, recalled that the Soul-Gathering Lamp had burned with a green flame when it consumed Su Su's clothes 300 years ago. With bated breath, he placed Bai Qian's ribbon onto the lamp. The flame immediately turned green, confirming his deepest suspicion: Bai Qian was indeed Su Su. Overwhelmed with relief, he extinguished the lamp that had continuously burned for three centuries.

A bewildered Lian Song questioned his actions. Ye Hua excitedly explained that the lamp had failed to produce a shadow for 300 years because Su Su's soul had not dissipated; she had merely forgotten him. He revealed that Su Su was the Monarchess of Green Hill, High Goddess Bai Qian. Lian Song was astonished by this revelation, musing that all their past suffering could have been avoided if they had known, and a simple marriage would have brought widespread celebration.

Ye Hua cautioned Lian Song to keep this discovery secret for now, as he still needed to understand why Bai Qian initially lacked a divine aura in the Eastern Wilderness and why she had forgotten him. He then left to seek answers from Emperor Dong Hua, who he believed held the most knowledge about Qing Cang's seal-breaking event three centuries prior.

However, when he met Si Ming, Emperor Dong Hua's attendant, he learned that the Emperor was already in the mortal realm for his tribulation, and Si Ming could only offer the widely known fact that High Goddess Bai Qian was injured while sealing Qing Cang, leading to her prolonged sleep.

Bai Qian next visited her Fourth Older Brother, Bai Zhen's, manor in the Northern Wilderness to deliver peach blossom wine, but found him absent, out searching for the Bi Fang Bird. Her Second Older Brother, however, was present and in a foul mood. He questioned her about Feng Jiu's whereabouts, expressing his frustration over Feng Jiu's past embarrassing pursuits of Emperor Dong Hua and recounting how he had severely disciplined her 300 years ago.

Bai Qian covered for her niece, promising to keep Feng Jiu confined in Green Hill and vowing that the Fox Tribe, with her as Feng Jiu's aunt, would repay Dong Hua's kindness, thereby preventing Feng Jiu from pursuing the unfeeling Emperor again.

Returning to her fox den in Green Hill, as Bai Qian prepared to rest, a small child, Ah Li, joyfully rushed out, crying and calling her "Mother," accusing her of breaking her promise to return to the Heavenly Palace with him and his father.

Mi Gu, the tree sprite, apologetically explained to a bewildered Bai Qian that Crown Prince Ye Hua had dropped Ah Li off, intending for them to stay at her fox den for a while, as Ye Hua had pressing matters in the Heavenly Palace. Mi Gu cited a historical precedent of a Heavenly Monarch residing with his fiancée, justifying Ye Hua's stay.

Bai Qian sighed, realizing she had inadvertently "provoked" Ye Hua by interfering in his marriage with the East Sea princess. When she asked about Feng Jiu, Mi Gu informed her that Feng Jiu had already gone to the Mortal Realm to repay a debt, leading Bai Qian to worry it was once again for Emperor Dong Hua. Resigned, Bai Qian took Ah Li and Mi Gu to the Mushroom Market to buy food.

Curious Qing Qiu residents inquired about the child, and Bai Qian, with a sigh, humorously told them she had him "just yesterday." In the mortal realm, Emperor Dong Hua, in his mortal tribulation, noticed Feng Jiu (as Noble Lady Chen), who had recently recovered from an illness, and commanded her to attend to him that night. Feng Jiu was surprised but saw this as an immediate opportunity to repay her debt to him.

As she nervously prepared, she was interrupted not by the eunuch, but by other palace consorts, led by Consort De and Consort Xian. They accused the phoenix flower mark on her forehead of being a "demonic flower" and summoned a Daoist priest, who confirmed their claim. As a result, the Emperor ordered Feng Jiu confined to her room in the Lotus Courtyard, forbidding her to leave without his permission.

Despite his personal disbelief in the priest's words, he found it too bothersome to summon her. After seven days of confinement, frustrated and despairing of seeing the Emperor again, Feng Jiu decided to use her magic. She secretly entered the Emperor's dream, intending to learn his deepest wish in this mortal life so she could fulfill it precisely and repay her debt. Within his dream, she found him looking melancholy.

When she asked about his unfulfilled desires, he confessed that he sought neither land nor riches, but only a sincere heart. Feng Jiu felt an unexpected pang of sympathy, realizing that even the seemingly unfeeling Emperor, born from a rock, yearned for love. She promised to grant his wish. Later, while Bai Qian and Ah Li were shopping for loquats in the Mushroom Market, Ye Hua unexpectedly joined them.

Noticing Bai Qian's simple choice of food, he expressed concern that loquats alone weren't sufficient for Ah Li, who was still growing. Bai Qian admitted her lack of experience in raising children. Ye Hua then gently took her hand and led her to seek out more substantial options like meat and vegetables, a tender scene that brought back memories of his time with Su Su on Junji Mountain.

Villagers murmured about their handsome appearance and Ah Li calling them "Mother" and "Father Monarch." Other villagers offered Bai Qian fish, noting she needed nourishment as she was raising a child alone. Ye Hua, hearing this, promptly instructed Mi Gu to prepare the fish. Mi Gu, however, complained about not knowing how to cook and his natural aversion to fire as a tree sprite, but Bai Qian insisted.

Ye Hua remarked on how Green Hill, despite being a realm of immortals, resembled the mortal world with its lack of overt divine powers. Bai Qian explained that it was more interesting this way, preventing boredom, and even mused about creating a battlefield for them to fight to alleviate monotony. Ye Hua found the idea intriguing and offered to bring Heavenly Soldiers to join the fun.
