Grand Heavenly Lord Donghua, weakened from successively saving Bai Fengjiu and suppressing Qing Cang, instructed Lian Song to place the Soul-Gathering Lamp by Crown Prince Ye Hua's bedside. He emphasized that the lamp must remain continuously lit for three days and nights without the use of magic, for only then could Ye Hua's spirit successfully bond and he would awaken.
Meanwhile, Bai Qian recalled the vows she made with Ye Hua as Su Su, where they promised to be a married couple for all eternity, treating each other wholeheartedly through all fortunes and misfortunes. She mused on the depth of their connection, yet lamented that it was ultimately destined to be an unfortunate fate.
Determined to erase the painful memories, she drank Zhe Yan's forgetful wine, declaring that from then on, there would be no more Su Su of Junji Mountain, and all that had happened in this dream would be forgotten upon waking. Tianjun, reflecting on Ye Hua's severe ordeal, questioned Lian Song if he had been overly strict with his grandson.
He recounted how Ye Hua had been raised to follow his will for tens of thousands of years, forced to sit in the study for fourteen hours a day even as a child, and how Tianjun had prevented him from seeing his birth mother again after Ye Hua once cried to her, until he transcended into a High Immortal at 20,000 years old.
Lian Song openly responded, stating that despite Ye Hua's achievements—transcending to a High Immortal at 20,000 and surpassing High God Mo Yuan—he was a pitiful child who grew up alone, without playmates or love. He remarked that after finally meeting Su Su, the person he truly loved, it led to such a tragic outcome. After drinking the forgetful wine, Bai Qian slept deeply. Surrounded by her parents and Zhe Yan, everyone was heartbroken by her love tribulation.
Zhe Yan suggested that if Bai Qian wished to forget, they should all uphold that wish upon her waking. He proposed they tell her she was injured in her battle with Qing Cang and fell into a deep sleep, and that her eye condition was congenital, hidden until her recent injury caused it to flare up. He instructed the Fox Emperor to travel to the netherworld to create a white blindfold from dark light, suitable for Bai Qian's sensitive eyes.
Bai Zhen initially protested having to lie, but eventually agreed, while Bai Qian's mother added that it was heartbreaking to see her daughter so injured. Ye Hua finally awoke, but his demeanor was utterly despairing. His mother, Le Xu, presented him with a Forgetful Pill she had obtained from the Medicine King. She tearfully pleaded with him to take it, forget Su Su, and live well as the crown prince, even if he made no grand contributions.
However, Ye Hua simply replied, "I don't want to forget her." Bai Qian eventually woke up. Bai Zhen, following Zhe Yan's instructions, explained that she had been harmed by the cold and suffered from a congenital eye condition. He recounted that during her mother's pregnancy, a great flood led to famine, weakening her mother and causing Bai Qian to be born a "wrinkled fox" with a "weird eye disease."
This condition, hidden for tens of thousands of years, had flared up due to her recent injury. He also explained that her father had crafted a special white blindfold from the dark light of the netherworld, which would automatically appear in bright places to block light without affecting her vision.
Bai Qian, believing she had merely slept for several years after fighting Qing Cang, was also informed by Bai Zhen that she had been promoted to a High Goddess during her slumber, which she found surprisingly easy compared to becoming a High Immortal. Concerned about her Teacher Mo Yuan, Bai Qian rushed to his cave, worried that his immortal body would have suffered without her heart's blood. To her surprise, she found his body perfectly preserved.
Zhe Yan then revealed that from the look of it, Mo Yuan would be waking up soon. Later, Mi Gu expressed his concern to Bai Qian about Fengjiu, who had been constantly drinking since returning from the Heavenly Palace. He reported that Fengjiu’s Second Uncle had beaten her until she was barely conscious after an argument. Bai Qian comforted Fengjiu, advising her that alcohol offers only temporary release and does not diminish problems.
Fengjiu confided that she drank because she felt like crying but needed a safe place to do so, expressing how pitiful she felt. She began to recount her experiences with Donghua, then asked Bai Qian why she had to like him of all people.
Bai Qian replied that Fengjiu was the only princess in the third generation of Green Hill and could have liked anyone, yet she chose Donghua, the former ruler of Heaven and Earth, whose status was higher than Tianjun and who had ruled before Fengjiu's father was born. Fengjiu then asked if Bai Qian had ever liked anyone and become as embarrassing as she was. Bai Qian briefly admitted to an embarrassing past in Kunlun Void.
After waking, Ye Hua immediately summoned Si Ming and Lian Song, wanting to investigate Si Yin and Mo Yuan. Lian Song questioned his urgency. Ye Hua explained his conviction that Si Yin's disappearance with Mo Yuan's divine body, instead of burying him in the sacred Sea of Innocence, indicated an intention to defy Heaven's will and revive Mo Yuan. He hoped to find Si Yin to learn the method of resurrection, intending to apply it to Su Su.
Si Ming suggested that Bai Fengjiu might know Si Yin's whereabouts. Ye Hua immediately decided to travel to Green Hill, momentarily forgetting it was his wedding day to Su Jin. Upon Ye Hua's arrival at Green Hill, Mi Gu went to inform Bai Qian. Bai Qian, assuming Ye Hua was there about her dissolved engagement with his second uncle, expressed confusion.
Fengjiu, identifying with Su Su's plight, warned Bai Qian that Ye Hua was a cruel and heartless man and urged her not to marry him. Bai Qian was puzzled, asking why she would marry Ye Hua. Mi Gu then explained that while Bai Qian was recovering from her battle with Qing Cang, the Fox Emperor and High God Zhe Yan had publicly arranged her engagement to Crown Prince Ye Hua, replacing her previous engagement.
Bai Qian was infuriated and declared her intention to cancel it, but Mi Gu warned that since Tianjun and the Fox Emperor had publicly announced this new engagement, cancelling it would cause both Green Hill and the Heavenly Tribes to lose face. Bai Qian despaired over her parents' choices and told Mi Gu to send Ye Hua away, stating she did not want to see him. Mi Gu then clarified that Ye Hua was actually there for Fengjiu.
Fengjiu informed Ye Hua that she did not know Si Yin's whereabouts after the battle 70,000 years ago. Ye Hua, disappointed, departed. Meanwhile, Su Jin, despite Ye Hua's refusal to personally welcome her and his instruction for her to arrive by palanquin alone, was filled with joy. She dismissed the slights as unimportant, eager to become Ye Hua's side consort in Pure Wutong Palace. Inside, Ye Hua ordered all the red wedding candles replaced, finding them painful to his eyes.
As Su Jin entered, full of anticipation and reminiscing about Ye Hua's cold personality since childhood, she confidently walked towards him. The moment she uttered "Husband," Ye Hua turned and stabbed her in the chest with his sword. Su Jin cried out in terror and confusion, but Ye Hua merely turned and walked away, leaving her bleeding on the floor as the palace doors closed behind him.
Later, Ye Hua stood gazing at the Kunlun Fan of Yuqing, reflecting on its ancient power. When the fan suddenly vanished, he realized its master must have recalled it, suggesting that Si Yin might have reappeared. Simultaneously, Bai Qian returned to the desolate Kunlun Void, lamenting its deserted state after 70,000 years. Sensing her fan was gone, she used her magic to recall the Kunlun Fan of Yuqing.
Ye Hua, tracking the fan's return, also arrived at Kunlun Void, but they narrowly missed each other. Tianjun awaited Ye Hua's return and reiterated that Su Jin had offered the Soul-Gathering Lamp in front of everyone, leading him to publicly decree her as Ye Hua's side consort. He stressed that the heavenly decree had been promulgated, and regardless of Ye Hua's feelings, it was a final and unchangeable fact.
Ye Hua, his face devoid of emotion, acknowledged that since the Four Seas and Eight Wildernesses required an explanation, he would accept the decree. However, he coldly specified that Su Jin could reside in any of the countless halls within Pure Wutong Palace, as long as it was not his personal Courtyard of Moonlight or Purple Morning Hall, stating it was "not my business." Tianjun was left feeling helpless by Ye Hua's detached response.
As Ye Hua returned to his chambers, he was intercepted by Xin Nu, Su Jin's maid. Kneeling behind him, Xin Nu urgently informed him that her mistress, Su Jin, possessed a method to save Su Su. Ye Hua froze, struck by this revelation.
