Heavenly Monarch, beaming with joy, approached Donghua to discuss a matter of state. He informed Donghua that ministers from the Four Seas and Eight Wildernesses had submitted petitions, requesting that Ye Hua be officially conferred as Crown Prince due to his success in the Northern Wilderness battle and having won the hearts of many.

Donghua congratulated Heavenly Monarch, remarking that Ye Hua had not disappointed him and that the Heavenly Monarch could finally relinquish his duties, much like Donghua himself, to live a life free from worldly worries. Heavenly Monarch agreed, admitting he had felt his strength wane in recent decades. The two decided that Ye Hua's coronation ceremony would take place early next month.

Ye Hua, for his part, understood that this new position was crucial for him to genuinely protect Su Su and secure their future together. Meanwhile, Su Su found her days in the Courtyard of Moonlight incredibly dull. Nai Nai, her attendant, gently led her to the lotus pond. The fragrant lotuses provided a small comfort amidst Su Su's growing melancholy.

However, a palace maid soon approached them, relaying Heavenly Monarch's strict decree that Su Su was not permitted to leave the Courtyard of Moonlight. Su Su felt a deep sense of sorrow, acutely aware of her insignificant status in the Nine Heavens. Su Su had been experiencing excessive drowsiness these past few days.

When Ye Hua came to visit, he eagerly told her about his impending coronation as Crown Prince, assuring her that they could soon marry and live the life they desired, free from the judgment of others. Su Su, however, had grown weary of his promises and wished to avoid him. She used her sleepiness as an excuse to distance herself, retreating to bed.

Ye Hua, a man of few words, struggled to explain his true intentions to her, hoping that once she was officially named Crown Prince Consort, everything would fall into place. Before leaving, he privately instructed Nai Nai that when he accepted the Crown Prince Seal, he would endure 36 strikes of uncultivated fire and 9 strikes of heavenly lightning. He urged Nai Nai not to reveal the truth if Su Su heard the thunder, fearing she would worry.

In the Winged Realm, Li Yuan was imprisoned in the dungeon. Li Jing visited him, mocking him and revealing a dark secret: Qing Cang never truly loved Li Yuan, but saw him, Li Jing, and Yan Zhi merely as "venomous insects" or "lifesaving talismans" to cultivate his martial arts. Li Jing explained that Qing Cang's power increased whenever one of his children died.

He disclosed that their mother had discovered this chilling truth when she gave birth to him, leading to her being cast into the cold palace, which subsequently allowed Li Yuan the opportunity to kill her. Li Jing warned Li Yuan that if he ever managed to save Qing Cang, they would be the first to die, enabling Qing Cang to greatly enhance his powers and seek revenge on the Heavenly Tribe.

Li Yuan vehemently refused to believe it, but Li Jing asserted that in the Grand Purple Palace, anything was possible, vowing to keep Li Yuan alive but permanently confined to the dungeon, never to see daylight again. Enraged, Li Yuan lunged at Li Jing, but was unsuccessful. Later, Yan Zhi approached Li Jing, her heart heavy with the endless conflict between her brothers. She expressed her desire to leave the Winged Realm for the Mortal Realm.

Li Jing, seeing her as his only remaining sibling, tried to dissuade her and forgave her past betrayals, wishing for her to live peacefully as a princess. However, Yan Zhi was resolute, stating that while she cherished both her brothers, she could no longer bear to betray Li Jing, and thus needed to leave. Li Jing, though saddened by her departure, eventually agreed, telling her to stay safe no matter where she went.

He then secretly dispatched his guards to follow and protect Yan Zhi, emphasizing that her safety was their sole mission. Finally, the day of the Crown Prince's coronation arrived, with monarchs from the Four Seas and Eight Wildernesses gathered to offer their felicitations. Li Jing encountered Su Jin, who was on her way to deliver clothes to Consort Le Xu. Li Jing inquired about the noble lady from the Courtyard of Moonlight, Su Su.

Su Jin's maid interjected, blurting out that Su Su had caused Her Highness to go blind. Su Jin then added, seemingly magnanimously, that it was a long story and she believed it was unintentional, before mentioning that Su Su was awaiting childbirth in the Courtyard of Moonlight. Li Jing expressed his guilt, recalling how his fire Kirin had once injured Su Su, and stated he merely wished to inquire about her well-being.

Su Jin confirmed to Li Jing that she was indeed arranged to marry the Crown Prince. Overhearing the conversation, onlookers praised Su Jin's wisdom, deeming her worthy of assisting the Heavenly Tribe's ruler. Following this, Li Jing instructed his fire Kirin to check on Su Su. As Ye Hua was officially conferred the Crown Prince Seal, accepting the precious scroll and imperial seal, he simultaneously began to endure the heavenly lightning tribulation.

The powerful thunder and lightning strikes echoed through the Nine Heavens. Su Su, confined in the Courtyard of Moonlight, heard the unsettling thunder. Nai Nai rushed in, frantic, revealing she had heard from palace maids that Heavenly Monarch decreed Heavenly Consort Su Jin would be bestowed upon the Crown Prince as his side consort after the coronation. Nai Nai feared Su Jin would harm Su Su.

Su Su, however, responded with a profound sense of detachment, saying this was bound to happen and that Pure Wutong Palace no longer had anything to do with her. Nai Nai urged her not to speak such words. Suddenly, Su Su was overcome with excruciating abdominal pain, signaling she was about to give birth. Nai Nai, in a panic, rushed out to find Ye Hua, despite Su Su's pleas for her to stay.

Meanwhile, in the Winged Realm, Xuan Nv was undergoing a premature and dangerous labor, three months early and bleeding heavily. A shaman revealed that forbidden magic had been used to extend the child's life, a practice against Heaven's will, and urged Xuan Nv to abandon the child. Xuan Nv, however, fiercely demanded the shaman save her child, threatening her life if the child did not survive.

Li Jing was informed of Xuan Nv's labor and rushed back, but was restricted from entering her chambers due to the dangerous circumstances. Ye Hua, having accepted the Crown Prince Seal and endured the celestial lightning, maintained his composure before the assembled officials. Only when he was alone did he succumb to the agony, collapsing and vomiting blood. Despite this, he still proceeded to endure the daily punishment of his separate three-year lightning tribulation.

Nai Nai, desperate to find Ye Hua, was blocked by guards from entering his palace, as he was in the middle of receiving this punishment. She knelt outside, begging the celestial maids to inform him. Fortuitously, Lian Song passed by, and upon learning that Su Su was in labor, he immediately took Nai Nai to the Courtyard of Moonlight. There, Su Su finally gave birth to a prince.

Ye Hua arrived shortly after, hearing his child's first cry, and was overcome with immense joy. He brought the newborn to Su Su, but she averted her gaze from him. Believing she would not remain in the Nine Heavens, Su Su suppressed her maternal instincts, choosing not to bond too closely with the child, knowing that as a royal prince, he would be well cared for by the Heavenly Palace regardless of her presence.
