Su Jin led Su Su towards the High Clear Plane of Lord of Lingbao. On their way, they encountered Sang Ji, the Water Monarch of the Northern Sea, and Shao Xin, who was pregnant and suffering from severe morning sickness. Su Jin, ignoring Sang Ji's demoted status and addressing him as "Second Highness," remarked on Shao Xin's pregnancy, then subtly commented that both she and Su Su were very fortunate.

When Shao Xin inquired about Su Su, Su Jin, deliberately defying Heavenly Monarch's orders to keep Su Su's identity secret, revealed that Su Su was a mortal who had saved Ye Hua in the mortal realm and was now pregnant with his child, kept in the Heavenly Palace. Sang Ji expressed surprise that Ye Hua would have such a "casual lover," which Shao Xin quickly countered by reminding him of his own past with many beauties.

Su Jin continued to guide Su Su towards Ye Hua's location, having learned he was recuperating in the Heavenly Eye Spring. When they arrived, Su Jin, despite being told by guards that Heavenly Monarch and Ye Hua were inside, ordered them not to announce their presence, claiming she would take responsibility for any anger. She intentionally made sure Su Su overheard Heavenly Monarch discussing Ye Hua’s upcoming marriage to Bai Qian.

Heavenly Monarch stressed that Ye Hua must not allow a mere mortal to delay his wedding to Bai Qian, the powerful Monarchess of the Eastern Wilderness. He warned Ye Hua that Bai Qian would likely be difficult if she discovered his child, and Ye Hua affirmed his understanding. Su Su, deeply affected, witnessed this exchange. Heavenly Monarch then noticed Su Su and sternly questioned her presence.

Su Jin quickly interjected, claiming Consort Le Xu had asked her to take Su Su for a stroll to alleviate her boredom in the Courtyard of Moonlight. Heavenly Monarch, displeased, ordered them to leave, reminding them that a mortal had no business at the Lord of Lingbao’s assembly. Ye Hua, clearly uneasy with Su Jin's manipulation, confronted her.

Su Jin feigned good intentions, taking responsibility for bringing Su Su there, but Ye Hua sharply warned her not to interfere in the affairs of Pure Wutong Palace. Su Jin, appearing resentful, retorted that she was merely a consort being a "busybody." After Su Jin left, Ye Hua specifically instructed Su Su to avoid any future interaction with her.

He also told Su Su that based on Heavenly Tribe laws, she shouldn't be there, and promised to escort her back after changing his clothes. As Ye Hua and Su Su were returning to Courtyard of Moonlight, they saw Sang Ji and Shao Xin kneeling before Heavenly Monarch. Sang Ji was pleading for Heavenly Monarch to grant Shao Xin a formal status, given her pregnancy.

Heavenly Monarch, still holding a grudge over Sang Ji’s past rebellion for Shao Xin, expressed his severe disappointment and rebuked him for disrupting the Lord of Lingbao's assembly with such a request. He ordered them to leave immediately. Meanwhile, a divine maid had falsely informed Nai Nai that "My Lady" (implying Su Su) requested her usual fan, describing the Yuqing Kunlun Fan.

As Nai Nai hurried to deliver it to High Clear Plane, someone covertly tripped her, causing the fan to fall and startling Lord of Lingbao's fire phoenix. The phoenix, whose demonic nature had not been fully removed, attacked the crowd, gravely wounding Fengjiu. Li Jing bravely intervened, fighting with great effort to subdue the rampaging beast. Si Ming swiftly brought the injured Fengjiu back to Tai Chen Palace.

Donghua, seeing her condition, sternly dismissed everyone from the room, including someone who offered to help, before expending his own divine power to heal her. When Fengjiu regained consciousness, she realized Donghua had saved her again, and felt immense guilt, reflecting that she had only brought trouble to him and shame to Green Hill. Deciding to leave to avoid further burden, she attempted to sneak away from Tai Chen Palace while still severely weakened.

She collapsed at the entrance, but Donghua, passing by, discovered her and gently carried her back inside. Fengjiu, in her semiconscious state, noted the comfort of his embrace, also recalling an earlier lie she told him. At the subsequent inquiry into the incident, Ye Hua took full responsibility, confessing to Heavenly Monarch that he had given the Yuqing Kunlun Fan to Su Su, not realizing its power.

Heavenly Monarch was furious, especially upon learning that the injured party was Fengjiu, Bai Qian’s niece, fearing a diplomatic incident with Green Hill before the wedding. Su Su attempted to defend herself, asserting her innocence and claiming a divine maid had tricked Nai Nai into delivering the fan. Nai Nai corroborated this, explaining the false message. Su Jin quickly denied any involvement, accusing Su Su of fabricating a story to frame an immortal.

As Su Su tried to retort, Ye Hua sharply silenced her, his cold demeanor leaving her speechless and preventing her from further infuriating Heavenly Monarch. Lord of Lingbao then arrived, offering a crucial explanation. He reminded everyone that the phoenix had previously been subdued by High Immortal Si Yin using that very fan 70,000 years ago, even mentioning Li Jing's presence during that incident. Lord of Lingbao suggested the phoenix's demonic nature may have relapsed upon encountering the fan again.

He then took responsibility for bringing the untamed beast to the Nine Heavens. Seeing Lord of Lingbao's intercession and his acceptance of blame, Heavenly Monarch allowed the matter to pass, but not without issuing a public punishment. He confined Su Su and Nai Nai, along with everyone else in Courtyard of Moonlight, forbidding them from leaving Pure Wutong Palace without his direct command—a measure Ye Hua intended as protection for Su Su.

Later, Heavenly Monarch privately advised Ye Hua, reminding him of Sang Ji's demotion for a mortal woman and urging him to send Su Su away quickly to preserve her life, as she was unsuitable for the Heavenly Palace. Meanwhile, in Courtyard of Moonlight, Su Su confessed to Nai Nai that she felt she was the one implicating her.

Nai Nai mentioned that Consort Su Jin was raised by Ye Hua's mother and was his childhood companion, which Su Su understood as their close relationship. Ye Hua later visited Su Su, who apologized for her unstable moods due to pregnancy. Ye Hua assured her it wasn't her fault, blaming the Heavenly Palace's strict rules.

Su Su expressed a desire to live carefree with him like on Junji Mountain and asked if he would visit that night, to which he replied he wouldn't. She understood, accepting that as Crown Prince, he had duties, and feared being labeled a "femme fatale" if she held him back. Separately, Donghua instructed Si Ming to inform Heavenly Monarch that Fengjiu had recovered, though Si Ming asked if she had returned to Green Hill, a question Donghua did not answer.

Li Jing was also updated that his brother, Li Yuan, had defected to the Northern Wilderness. When Li Jing was summoned to the Grand Hall for an urgent matter, Xuan Nu tried to stop him, accusing him of going to see Su Su. Li Jing retorted that the urgent matter concerned her: she had stolen the commander's seal, which Yan Zhi used to rescue Li Yuan, and they had both defected.

He warned Xuan Nu that if Heavenly Monarch blamed her, he would be unable to save her, ordering her to stay put. News then spread that Heavenly Monarch was furious and had summoned both Li Jing and Ye Hua because the Fiery Golden Lion had appeared in the rebel camp in Northern Wilderness. Back at Heavenly Monarch's hall, Heavenly Monarch confronted Su Jin about her earlier attempt to intercede for Su Su.

Su Jin explained she merely thought a death sentence was too harsh and suffering would be more appropriate. Heavenly Monarch, seeing through her pretense, told her to stop feigning intelligence. Su Jin then admitted her concern was that Su Su would hinder Ye Hua, and offered to "legally get rid of" the mortal for Heavenly Monarch. Recalling a past favor where he had granted her a wish for entering his harem to gain support, Heavenly Monarch asked for her request.

Su Jin, persistent, declared her one wish: if she could ensure Su Su's death, Heavenly Monarch would make her a side consort of the Crown Prince. Heavenly Monarch realized this had been her long-term goal from the beginning. Impressed by her cunning and ambition, he agreed, stating it was no big deal to grant his grandson more consorts. He warned her to remember her promise, and Su Jin chillingly assured him she would devise a plan that even Crown Prince Ye Hua would be powerless to stop.
