Amidst a sky filled with thunder and lightning, Ye Hua led the Heavenly soldiers into battle against the Merpeople. The Merpeople Chieftain accused Ye Hua of plotting his youngest son's death and swore to kill him with the Soul Severing Blade. Ye Hua engaged the chieftain, enduring a blow from the Soul Severing Blade himself, but ultimately struck down the chieftain. As Ye Hua was wounded, his soldiers cried out his name.

Back in the mortal realm, Su Su heard the distant thunder and felt an inexplicable panic. She anxiously called out to Ye Hua using a copper mirror, but received no response. Overwhelmed by fear, she couldn't sleep, clutching the mirror and waiting. When the mirror finally transmitted sounds from the battlefield, she heard frantic calls of "Ye Hua!" and "Your Highness the Crown Prince!" but couldn't discern what was happening.

Distraught, not knowing if Ye Hua was alive or dead, Su Su rushed out of their cottage, desperately calling his name. In the chaos of battle, Ye Hua's mirror fell, and Su Jin, who was nearby, picked it up. Hearing Su Su's cries through the mirror, Su Jin went to the cottage and brought Su Su to the Heavenly Palace.

At the Heavenly Palace, the Heavenly Monarch sternly questioned Su Su about her identity and her connection to Crown Prince Ye Hua, frightening the bewildered mortal. The Heavenly Monarch ordered her thrown into the Demon Tower. As guards moved to seize her, Le Xu, Ye Hua's mother, arrived. Su Su, desperate, pleaded for help, revealing she and Ye Hua had bowed to Heaven and Earth as husband and wife, and she was pregnant with his child.

Le Xu, shocked, had a medical professional confirm Su Su's pregnancy. Faced with the uncertainty of Ye Hua's survival, Le Xu tearfully implored the Heavenly Monarch to spare Su Su for the sake of Ye Hua's descendant, even offering to be punished in Su Su's stead. The Heavenly Monarch relented, ordering Su Su to be confined in the deserted Zhaohua Palace, under tight guard, until she gave birth.

The series of shocks and emotional distress caused Su Su to collapse with abdominal pains inside the palace. Meanwhile, Ye Hua, gravely wounded but having miraculously preserved his spirit, regained consciousness. Lian Song informed him that three days prior, on the night he was injured, Su Su had ventured beyond the protective barrier he had set up and was discovered by the Heavenly Monarch.

Ye Hua, distressed, attempted to rush to the Heavenly Palace, but Lian Song stopped him, stressing that Ye Hua's survival was crucial for Su Su's safety. He confirmed that Su Su was alive and pregnant. Ye Hua then revealed his plan to Lian Song: the only way to protect Su Su now was to make the Heavenly Monarch believe she held no significance to him.

Lingbao Tianzun planned a religious assembly and sent out invitations across the Four Seas and Eight Wildernesses. Xuan Nü used this as a pretext to visit Li Jing in the mortal realm, claiming she was pregnant with his child. Although Li Jing had little affection for Xuan Nü, hearing about a child softened his heart. He had initially intended to punish her for taking his commander's seal but reconsidered.

Xuan Nü explained that she came because the Winged Realm's older subjects were anxious that the Heavenly Tribe might blame them for the Merpeople's annihilation and feared they might vent their anger on them. She added that she used the invitation as an excuse to ask when he would return.

Li Jing decided to attend the assembly at the Heavenly Palace to apologize and plead for the Winged Tribe, stating he had been anticipating becoming a father for 70,000 years, and agreed to return to the Grand Purple Palace with her. Ye Hua's severe injuries, compounded by his constant worry for Su Su, made his recovery slow. Confined in Zhaohua Palace, Su Su suffered, desperate to know if Ye Hua was alive.

She still held her copper mirror, but Ye Hua's corresponding mirror was now in Su Jin's possession. In the Nine Heavens, Feng Jiu overheard an immortal discussing Ye Hua's entanglement with a mortal woman in the human realm. Angered on behalf of her aunt, Bai Qian, who was betrothed to Ye Hua, Feng Jiu decided to investigate.

She questioned why Ye Hua would court another woman when he was engaged to her aunt, dismissing the notion that the Crown Prince needed multiple consorts for heirs, citing Green Hill's tradition of one wife. Unable to break through the millennium iron lock on Zhaohua Palace's door, Feng Jiu called out to Su Su. Su Su, starved for any news, frantically asked if Feng Jiu knew about Ye Hua.

Feng Jiu admitted she was unaware of his current state, adding to Su Su's despair. Despite her initial anger, Feng Jiu found herself feeling pity for the forlorn mortal. Meanwhile, two immortal maids delivering food to Su Su whispered about the Heavenly Monarch's strict orders to ignore the mortal, fearing that without the Crown Prince around, something dreadful might happen to her. Li Jing and Xuan Nü arrived at the Heavenly Palace for Lingbao Tianzun's assembly.

Once settled in their temporary residence, Xuan Nü complained of intense abdominal pain. Li Jing left for his own affairs, and a shaman examined Xuan Nü. The shaman, after checking her pulse, revealed that the "little prince" had no heartbeat. Realizing the gravity of this secret, Xuan Nü fiercely threatened the shaman and their entire clan, warning them to conceal the truth, as this child was the only reason Li Jing had shown her any patience in 70,000 years.

Li Jing went to a lotus pond to see the Cold Moon Lotus, a gift from the Winged Realm 70,000 years ago. He reminisced with Lord of Lingbao about their first meeting at Kunlun Void. Suddenly, a fire erupted in the direction of Zhaohua Palace. Li Jing, recognizing a familiar peach blossom scent, rushed to the burning building, ordering the fire to be put out immediately as someone was trapped inside.

He plunged into the blazing Zhaohua Palace and rescued the unconscious Su Su. Upon seeing her face, Li Jing was stunned, believing her to be Si Yin. He carried her back to his residence for treatment, but his shaman quickly clarified that she was merely a mortal woman, not the High Immortal Si Yin. Li Jing's hopes were dashed. Su Su regained consciousness and timidly asked Li Jing if he had seen Ye Hua.

Before Li Jing could fully process the mortal woman's connection to the Crown Prince, Le Xu arrived to retrieve Su Su, explaining that the mortal had been confined for breaking heavenly rules. As Le Xu led Su Su away, the shaman subtly informed Li Jing that the mortal woman was pregnant, adding another layer of mystery to the situation.
