> Eternal Love Recap

Bai Qian brings the small black snake back to the spot where she originally found him, telling him that he was dying when she picked him up there. She confesses that if he leaves, she'll have no one to talk to. Unknown to her, the "snake," who is Ye Hua, mentally complains that he could have recovered in three days, but her "flesh-decaying herb" only made his wound worse.

After releasing him, she finds an injured kingfisher and decides to bring it home. Ye Hua, still in his snake form, wonders if he is no different from the kingfisher to her. That night, without the black snake by her side, Bai Qian sleeps alone. Ye Hua, in his divine form, watches her. He considers how she, an unmarried woman, has shared a bed with the Crown Prince of the Heavenly Tribe for three months.

He thinks that if he doesn't marry her, no one else would dare to, then falls asleep beside her with a smile. Meanwhile, Yan Zhi is gazing at the Yuqing Kunlun Fan when Jin Nieshou appears, explaining he left the Winged Tribe after Li Jing took the throne 70,000 years ago. Yan Zhi, who has been searching for her eldest brother, Li Yuan, for all these years, asks if Jin Nieshou knows his whereabouts.

Jin Nieshou reveals that Li Jing himself, as the Winged Monarch, locked Li Yuan in the Land of Extreme Coldness Prison 70,000 years ago, implying Li Jing never told Yan Zhi the truth. Yan Zhi vehemently denies this, believing her second brother incapable of such an act. Jin Nieshou then drops another bombshell, asking what if Li Yuan had personally killed Li Jing's birth mother.

Yan Zhi is stunned, just as Jin Nieshou senses Heavenly Tribesmen nearby and tells her to be quiet. Bai Qian carries the black snake in a basket to the market, unaware that black snakes are considered taboo in the mortal realm. The fake Taoist priest, who still harbors resentment against Bai Qian for preventing him from taking the Yuqing Kunlun Fan, seizes this opportunity.

He confronts her, accusing her of being a witch and revealing to the alarmed crowd that she is carrying a black snake, an evil omen. Despite Bai Qian's protests that it's just a small, harmless snake, the incited villagers become furious, push her to the ground, and demand to burn it. As Bai Qian shields the basket, Yan Zhi, observing from a distance with Jin Nieshou, is about to intervene. Jin Nieshou stops her, urging her to look closer.

When Yan Zhi looks, she is stunned to see it is a dragon. Ye Hua, in his true form as a majestic black dragon, soars into the sky, terrifying the villagers who immediately kneel in worship. He punishes the fake Taoist by spraying him with water. Bai Qian, surprisingly unafraid, only asks him, "So you're actually a dragon?" She expresses concern about how she will feed him now that he has grown so enormous.

Ye Hua, internally acknowledging that only she sees him as a snake, promises her to wait patiently for a few days, knowing that the Heavenly Palace will now be aware of his presence after he revealed his true form. The grateful villagers, realizing their mistake, attempt to apologize and invite Bai Qian to eat with them, but she politely declines, stating the dragon was their savior, not her, and leaves to return home before dark.

After the dragon incident, Yan Zhi resumes her conversation with Jin Nieshou, pressing him again about his claim that Li Yuan killed Li Jing's birth mother. Jin Nieshou confirms he heard it directly from Li Jing and questions why Yan Zhi never suspected anything about her second brother when Li Yuan first disappeared. He offers to take her to the Land of Extreme Coldness Prison in the Winged Realm to see the truth for herself.

Yan Zhi points out that without Li Jing's commander seal, no one can access the prison. Jin Nieshou suggests she steal the seal, emphasizing that Li Yuan's life depends on her. Yan Zhi appears conflicted but resolute. Having returned to the Heavenly Palace, Ye Hua speaks with his Third Uncle. He first inquires about the Yuqing Kunlun Fan's whereabouts, which has vanished from the mortal realm.

Although his Third Uncle offers to look into the mortal's book of fate, Ye Hua declines, stating he doesn't need to know about her life. He then admits to his Third Uncle that he wants to spend time with the mortal woman, describing her as something he had lost and finally found again. His Third Uncle quickly deduces that Ye Hua is in love, though Ye Hua insists it's more about repaying her for taking care of him.

His Third Uncle dismisses this, reminding him of how many immortal women have sought his attention over millennia without success, contrasting it with his sharing a bed with the mortal woman for months. Ye Hua then asks for advice on how to make her like him. His Third Uncle suggests a "Prince Charming" tactic, but Ye Hua dismisses it.

He then proposes a "hero tactic," which Ye Hua also rejects, revealing that she wasn't even afraid when he transformed into his true dragon form. Finally, his Third Uncle suggests a "self-injury trick" to win her over, which Ye Hua finds suitable. His Third Uncle reminds him to maintain a powerful divine barrier over Junji Mountain to conceal his presence from the Heavenly Palace, a precaution Ye Hua assures him he has already taken.

Ye Hua, following his "self-injury" plan, collapses in front of Bai Qian's cottage, heavily bleeding. Bai Qian, distraught, quickly brings him inside. She worriedly applies her herbal remedies, usually meant for small creatures, to his deep wound. She cries, believing his injury is severe, prompting Ye Hua to wonder if he went too far with his act. She is stunned when his external wounds miraculously heal.

Ye Hua attributes this to a mythical herb on Junji Mountain, which Bai Qian had unknowingly used. He then claims to have severe internal injuries from fighting a monster. Seeing her compassion, he asks her name, to which she replies she has none, having lost her memory. Ye Hua then names her "Su Su," and she happily accepts it. She then asks for his name, which he reveals as Ye Hua, and writes it down for her.

That night, Su Su, determined for Ye Hua to rest, sleeps at the table. After she falls asleep, Ye Hua gently carries her to the bed and covers her with a blanket. The next day, Su Su's cooking attempts produce thick smoke, revealing her inexperience. She recounts her simple diet of fruits and roasted animals before Ye Hua arrived, and her struggles in caring for the "finicky" black snake that insisted on sleeping in her bed with a quilt.

She then sets off to gather more herbs for Ye Hua but gets lost in the forest. Ye Hua finds her later that day, playfully remarking on her "ability" to get lost. Su Su expresses sadness that her small black snake never returned, thinking it must have disliked her.

Ye Hua, seeing her distress, comforts her by explaining that dragons are ancient divine beings who descend to the mortal realm only to vanquish monsters and cannot remain long without disrupting mortal destinies. This explanation eases Su Su's mind, especially when she recalls the black dragon subduing the Fiery Golden Lion. As night falls, they decide to camp in the forest.

Ye Hua further explains that the Fiery Golden Lion had caused a decade-long drought and abducted the local king's wife before being subdued by the black dragon. He concludes the story by telling her that the slightly injured dragon then met her.
