Amused, Ai Qing asked if he was already entrusting her with his finances.
Wu Bai confessed that he had planned to propose to her in the park that day, but she had surprised him by proposing first. Curious, Ai Qing asked about his planned proposal. Wu Bai revealed that 97 and their teammates were secretly waiting nearby, each holding a small box.
He then opened a box to reveal a car key, explaining he had bought her a car for commuting in case he was too busy to pick her up, though she would need to get her driver's license first. He handed her another key, revealing it was for the new home he had already purchased for them. Ai Qing was deeply touched, feeling as if she had married a real-life Doraemon who had prepared for everything.
She insisted that she didn't need any of these material things; having him was enough. Wu Bai disagreed, stating he had envisioned and prepared for their love for ten years. When Ai Qing asked what their life would be like in another ten years, Wu Bai confidently replied that they would be even happier. Later that evening, the couple changed into their pajamas. As Wu Bai prepared their toothbrushes, Ai Qing asked about his feelings before and after getting married.
Wu Bai cheekily responded that he could now comfortably sleep in her bed, earning a playful "rogue" from Ai Qing. Wu Bai turned off the lights, declaring he was merely exercising his rights as her husband. Just as he leaned in to kiss her, his phone rang. It was his grandpa, who, upon hearing Wu Bai was at Ai Qing's, insisted he should have taken her somewhere romantic.
Ai Qing quickly interjected that it had been her idea to stay home. Grandpa chuckled, noting how she was already protecting Wu Bai, and told her to let him know if Wu Bai ever mistreated her. After the call, he tried to kiss her again, but his mother called. Their stories conflicted, with Wu Bai saying they were brushing their teeth and Ai Qing saying they were watching a movie.
His mother chastised him, saying even his old-fashioned father was more romantic. As Ai Qing looked for a movie, Wu Bai pulled her close, questioning if she really wanted to watch one. The phone rang a third time, but Wu Bai simply pushed it aside. The next day, Wu Bai returned to the K&K base and announced to his ecstatic teammates that he was married and the wedding would be next month. The team erupted in celebration.

They then met with a designer for the couple's new home. Ai Qing's father added the final, crucial requirement: it had to be "good quality and affordable." Later, Wu Bai arrived to see the design. Wu Bai called the design "special" and cleverly suggested his grandpa design an even more festive home for his cousin, Han Shangyan, to avoid accusations of favoritism.
