Blossom in Heart Episode 45 Recap
> Blossom in Heart Recap
Feng Chunyan discovered Miaolan attempting suicide by hanging and rushed to save her. Miaolan knelt down to confess and apologize, though she harbored deep resentment. Feng Chunyan acknowledged Miaolan's bitterness, expressed her disappointment, and reprimanded her for making voodoo dolls, saying she considered Miaolan "one of her own" and didn't want her to do foolish things.
Feng Chunyan, reflecting on her own difficult life with a distant Lang Sinian and unattached sons, forgave Miaolan, but Miaolan’s expression remained unsettling even as she embraced Feng Chunyan. Lang Yueming searched for Lang Yuexuan for a long time, then enlisted Shi Diwen to help. They sought out Long Mohua, who was also unaware of Lang Yuexuan's whereabouts, so she joined their search. Along the way, Lang Yueming was hostile and sarcastic towards both Long Mohua and Shi Diwen.
Long Mohua argued with him, while Shi Diwen tried to mediate, urging them to focus on finding Lang Yuexuan first. They eventually found Lang Yuexuan waiting at the Gu family's doorstep, having waited for Gu Haitang all night, still worried about her.
Lang Yueming harshly reprimanded Lang Yuexuan, emphasizing that Gu Haitang had once been his wife and implying that even with the "Lang" surname, Lang Yuexuan might not truly be part of the Lang family, blaming him for his separation from Gu Haitang. Long Mohua attempted to intervene but was sharply accused by Lang Yueming of being manipulative and pretending to be innocent. Shi Diwen also faced Lang Yueming's mockery and, unable to tolerate it further, retorted.
Lang Yueming, angered, stormed off. Lang Yuexuan then left to find Gu Haitang. Lang Yuexuan went to the school to find Gu Xiahe, who, despite initially being resentful, revealed under Lang Yuexuan's persistent pleas that Gu Haitang was at the hospital nursing her mother and was avoiding him. Lang Yuexuan hurried to the hospital. Gu Mother, regaining consciousness briefly, mistook Lang Yuexuan for her husband, Gu Shunqi, and begged him to stay by her side, which Lang Yuexuan did.
Later, Gu Haitang called Lang Yuexuan aside and directly proposed breaking up. Lang Yuexuan was bewildered and asked for an explanation. Gu Haitang evaded the question, but she had come to believe Shi Jizhou's accusation that Lang Sinian had caused her father's death and stated she needed time to think things through. Lang Yuexuan mistakenly attributed her decision to Feng Chunyan and promised to convince her, but Gu Haitang's mind was made up.
Lang Yuexuan was left distraught and hopeless, refusing Shi Diwen's attempts to comfort him or convince him to drink. Adjutant Ma reported to Long Deshui that their allied forces were suffering defeats, and widespread recruitment of new soldiers was causing a massive surge in the cost of manpower and weapons. The funds Long Deshui had raised were insufficient, so Adjutant Ma urged him to secure more military funding quickly. Long Deshui was at a loss until Lang Sinian called.
Long Deshui again demanded money from Lang Sinian, who refused, citing Langli Spring's recent poor business and previous heavy contributions. Lang Sinian later reconsidered and sent some money through Uncle Quan. Long Deshui was furious at Lang Sinian's initial refusal. Long Mohua prepared to go out. Long Deshui, still angry, criticized her for having visited Lang Yuexuan and cursed both Lang Sinian and Lang Yuexuan. Long Mohua, not wanting to listen to his nagging, left abruptly.
Outside, she met Shi Diwen, who informed her about Lang Yuexuan and Gu Haitang's breakup and advised her not to gloat but to comfort Lang Yuexuan. Long Mohua was overjoyed and praised Shi Diwen as a good person. They went together to Haitang Garden to find Lang Yuexuan, but he was not there. Shi Jizhou then approached Long Deshui, proposing an alliance to dismantle Langli Spring.
He offered Long Deshui sole control of Langli Spring's shares and a chance to expand the Long family army, an offer Long Deshui accepted after consideration, recognizing the urgency of the war as the enemy neared Kunyang. Shi Jizhou immediately took action, spending heavily to monopolize the supply of all local essential oil raw materials.
Lang Sinian learned that this would force Langli Spring's workshop to halt production and urgently dispatched Lang Yueming to find Lang Yuexuan to resolve the crisis. Meanwhile, Fanzhen visited Gu Mother in the hospital and gave Gu Haitang a newly produced lipstick as a souvenir. Gu Haitang discovered that the lipstick's grease (oil) was problematic.
Although she felt it shouldn't concern her, she went to the workshop to inform Lang Sinian and Lang Yueming, explaining the seriousness of potential allergic reactions and the need for an immediate recall of all lipsticks. Gu Haitang also asked Fanzhen to convey the issue to Lang Yuexuan. Master Shang, consulting with female workers, learned that Chuchu had consistently taken the oil drums, leading him to suspect Chuchu of tampering. Lang Yueming quickly told them to stop investigating.
Lang Yuexuan, having learned about the raw material monopoly from Shi Diwen and heard about the lipstick problem from Fanzhen, rushed back to the workshop. However, Lang Yueming forbade him from getting involved, instead severely reprimanding him and blaming him for the entire situation. Lang Sinian insisted on recalling all products to protect Langli Spring's reputation, despite Lang Yueming and Feng Chunyan's concerns about financial losses and Lang Yueming's argument that allergies were rare.
Lang Yueming then lied to Lang Sinian about Lang Yuexuan's whereabouts and falsely accused Lang Yuexuan of using adulterated synthetic oils to cut costs, shifting all blame for the lipstick problem onto him.
