Zhan Zhao Adventures Episode 11 Recap
> Zhan Zhao Adventures Recaps
Following the chaotic battle at the Zhongxiao Pavilion, He Bo is consumed by rage. He barks orders at the Moon Envoy, Zhang Yue, demanding she capture Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang immediately, threatening that the entire Hanshui Palace will pay with their lives if they fail. Zhang Yue is forced to engage, but when Huo Linglong arrives as backup, the Envoy takes the opportunity to draw her aside.
During their exchange, Zhang Yue warns that continued fighting will only lead to a pointless tragedy for both sides. Amidst the confusion, Jing Yi Ming’s son, Jing Xingze, attempts to intervene with his Great Compassion Palm. However, due to his lack of mastery, he is quickly subdued by Bai Yutang, who presses a blade to his throat.
Using the young man as a hostage, Zhan Zhao, Bai Yutang, and Huo Linglong force their way through the crowd and successfully escape the pavilion. Once they reach a temporary safe haven, the group tends to their wounds. Bai Yutang, having been struck by Shen Zhongyuan’s Pili Palm earlier, uses Linglong Honey to stabilize his condition. Huo Linglong informs the others that she has already captured the treacherous Hua Chong and left him in the custody of Fan Zhongyu.
During the interrogation, Hua Chong remains defiant, mocking Zhan Zhao’s status as a government official by claiming they lack the legal authority to kill him. Recognizing that their current location is no longer secure, Fan Zhongyu suggests they move to a vacant estate outside the city owned by one of his distant relatives. Meanwhile, Ding Zhaohui stealthily follows Zhi Hua and Jing Xingze back to the Jing manor.
There, he uncovers a startling truth: the mysterious He Bo is actually Jing Yi Ming, and Zhi Hua is his illegitimate son. Inside the manor, Xingze tries to shift the blame for the night's failure onto Zhi Hua, accusing him of nearly getting him killed. Although Jing Yi Ming initially rebukes Zhi Hua for his ambitions, he eventually promises to grant him what he desires in exchange for his continued service, prompting Zhi Hua to pledge his absolute loyalty.
As Ding Zhaohui moves across the rooftops of the estate, he is nearly discovered by Mrs. Jing and her maid. However, Mrs. Jing remains composed and chooses to help him, loudly referring to the intruder as a "stray cat." She deliberately speaks of how the "cat" should leave through the open corridor to reach the front garden, providing Ding Zhaohui with the directions he needs to escape.
When Jing Yi Ming arrives to investigate the disturbance, his wife maintains her story, and he eventually dismisses the matter as a mere animal sighting. The next morning, Zhan Zhao and Huo Linglong intercept a limping clerk as he attempts to leave the city. Under the threat of force, the clerk confesses that the local Magistrate, Lord Li, is a frequent guest at the Zhongxiao Pavilion.
He reveals that Liu Hongyi was framed and killed because Lord Li and a market official suspected him of discovering the truth about the pavilion while investigating a stolen token and a secret letter. Zhan Zhao is devastated to learn that his friend was sacrificed to protect the corruption of local officials. While seeking medicine in the city, Bai Yutang encounters Zhi Hua.
The villain reveals that he has poisoned Bai’s elder brothers with a substance called Yemotian Poison, the same toxin that drove Shen Zhongyuan to madness. Zhi Hua notes that while Zhan Zhao mysteriously remained unaffected by the poison, Bai’s brothers will soon suffer a terrible fate unless an antidote is administered.
He uses this as leverage, demanding that Bai Yutang hand over the information Zhan Zhao has gathered, giving him until midnight the following day to meet at the Fenglai Pavilion. Back at their hideout, Zhan Zhao and Huo Linglong conduct a second interrogation of Hua Chong. Fearful that he will be silenced by He Bo’s men, Hua Chong finally reveals the inner workings of the Zhongxiao Pavilion.
He explains that guests are ranked by Gold, Silver, and Copper tokens, with the most elite members arriving in secret via the embroidery shop. He admits he was pressured into kidnapping Yu Lian and another girl named Hui Dai to satisfy the pavilion's demands. Just as the truth comes to light, Bai Yutang returns and immediately checks Zhan Zhao's pulse, fearful that his friend might have been poisoned as well.
At the Hanshui Palace, Zhang Yue seeks permission from her superior, the Granny, to assist Zhan Zhao, arguing that the palace should not be complicit in He Bo’s crimes. The Granny refuses, explaining that because their sacred artifact, the Chang Hong Bi, is missing, the palace has lost its strength and must remain subservient to He Bo to ensure its survival. As the situation escalates, Jing Yi Ming orders the elimination of all witnesses to protect his upcoming birthday banquet.
Shortly after, Zhan Zhao and the others discover Zhang Yue and her disciples moving a group of bodies in the middle of the night. Bai Yutang is horrified to find that one of the victims is Hui Dai, the girl he had hoped to save. Filled with indignation, he confronts the members of the Hanshui Palace, condemning them for acting as heartless accomplices to He Bo’s murderous schemes. Zhang Yue, however, warns them that He Bo already knows how they tracked the embroidery shop and tells them they must protect those who are still alive.
