As evening fell, the students gathered on the beach for a barbecue, happily skewering food together. Inside a room, Song Yuxi was meticulously applying makeup, wanting to look her best. Yin Chuxia and Su Nian Nian noticed her focus and teased her about her relationship with Zhu Cheng. Yin Chuxia then shared her own worries, feeling disheartened that despite her efforts, Zhao Mingyuan remained indifferent.
Su Nian Nian and Song Yuxi advised Yin Chuxia, agreeing that Zhao Mingyuan's lack of initiative was due to Chuxia's tomboyish appearance, which lacked femininity. Song Yuxi even pointed out that Chuxia's hair was shorter than Zhao Mingyuan's, making him uninterested. Feeling dejected, Yin Chuxia wondered if she looked that bad. Su Nian Nian tried to comfort her, telling her not to listen to Song Yuxi's nonsense and that she looked good without makeup.
However, Song Yuxi persisted, suggesting that Chuxia's delicate features would be more appealing if she dressed up. After this conversation, Su Nian Nian and Song Yuxi left the room, leaving Yin Chuxia to ponder. Influenced by their words, Yin Chuxia secretly tried on a dress, put on a wig, and attempted to do her makeup like Song Yuxi. With everything ready, Yin Chuxia nervously appeared before Zhao Mingyuan.
However, Zhao Mingyuan was shocked by her appearance, asking what was wrong with her. The other students burst into laughter at Yin Chuxia's comical look. Deeply hurt by Zhao Mingyuan's reaction and the laughter, Yin Chuxia cried and ran back to the room. Su Nian Nian started to follow her to offer comfort, but Gu Zi Chen stopped her, implying that Zhao Mingyuan was the one Chuxia needed.
Zhu Cheng and others then scolded Zhao Mingyuan for his slow reaction and urged him to go after Yin Chuxia. A short while later, Zhao Mingyuan appeared outside the room, sincerely apologizing to Yin Chuxia. From inside, Yin Chuxia tearfully accused Zhao Mingyuan of being hurtful. She revealed that she had been constantly changing to suit his preferences but received no response. Listening to her, Zhao Mingyuan felt terrible and realized he hadn't been a true man.
He then confessed his feelings for Yin Chuxia, assuring her that he had always liked her, no matter how she looked. Overjoyed, Yin Chuxia eagerly opened the door and embraced him. Separately, Mr. Jiang confessed his feelings to Dr. Jin. He revealed himself as "Loner Knight," her online chat friend, thanking her for her warmth during his difficult times. Dr. Jin was surprised but, touched by his bravery, accepted his heartfelt proposal to take care of her for life.
Mr. Jiang also announced to the students that Ye Xing Yu's song had been signed by a record company, and everyone celebrated the good news and the relationships blooming on their trip. After the excursion, Mr. Jiang sent Dr. Jin home, leaving Su Nian Nian to dismiss the other students. Su Dazhi called Su Nian Nian, inviting her and Gu Zi Chen for dinner at home. Gu Zi Chen brought gifts when they visited.
Su Dazhi warmly welcomed Gu Zi Chen, expressing his gratitude for Zi Chen saving his daughter. He shared his belief that Zi Chen and Nian Nian's paths were destined to cross and that Nian Nian's late mother would have been happy about their relationship. During dinner, Gu Zi Chen directly asked Su Dazhi about the circumstances surrounding Nian Nian's mother's death and its connection to his own father.
Su Nian Nian, who had suffered amnesia from the accident, also wanted to know the truth. Su Dazhi explained that Nian Nian's mother died saving Su Nian Nian during a car accident, a truth he had kept from Nian Nian for years to spare her pain. He expressed his deepest wish for Nian Nian to live a safe and healthy life, and confirmed that both he and Nian Nian's late mother would approve of their relationship.
Gu Zi Chen promised Su Dazhi that he would always protect Su Nian Nian from any hardship and that he would convince his mother to accept her, emphasizing that he and Nian Nian would never separate. Meanwhile, He Mei visited Zi Chen's mother, who was living separately from Zi Chen's father.
He Mei complained about Su Nian Nian, stating her intention to leave Qun Ying University and her belief that Zi Chen would eventually realize she was the most suitable for him. Zi Chen's mother, however, explained that suitability was different from love and that she herself was separating from Zi Chen's father because he didn't truly love her. She cautioned He Mei against forcing a relationship.
He Mei then tried to use business as leverage, revealing that her father's investment in Hao Cheng was due to her affection for Zi Chen. She threatened that she could easily have it withdrawn, causing Gu's company to face ruin. Zi Chen's mother dismissed this, stating that emotions could not be bartered and that such actions would only make Zi Chen dislike her more. He Mei then sought out Ye Xing Yu, proposing a deal.
Knowing his feelings for Su Nian Nian, she offered him a large sum of money for his mother's medical expenses if he would work with her to break up Su Nian Nian and Gu Zi Chen. Ye Xing Yu found her proposition pathetic, mocking her belief that money could buy love. He asserted that he didn't need her "filthy money" and suggested she keep it to find a doctor for her and her father's "brain problems."
Later, He Mei confronted Su Nian Nian at school. She mocked Nian Nian for having taken Gu Zi Chen to meet her parents and accused her of being manipulative. He Mei threatened to have her father withdraw his investment in Hao Cheng, which would lead to the Gu family's bankruptcy, if Su Nian Nian didn't leave Gu Zi Chen. Su Nian Nian remained unfazed, calling He Mei pathetic for trying to buy affection with money and attempting to sow discord.
Back in the dorm, Yin Chuxia was enthusiastically trying on various dresses, determined to embrace her feminine side. She proudly shared that Zhao Mingyuan had told her he loved her no matter what she looked like. The other students playfully commented on the drastic change in her, with Zhu Cheng remarking that he didn't know how to interact with the new, more feminine Chuxia. Zhao Mingyuan, however, instructed Zhu Cheng and others to treat her as their "sister-in-law." Song Yuxi offered Chuxia some "tricks" to spice up her relationship, such as playing hard to get, which Chuxia readily embraced.
