While Xing Kelei and his team were shopping in a convenience store, a fight broke out outside. Just as they were about to intervene, a girl rushed forward and skillfully subdued the thugs. Watching her technique, Xing Kelei thought she must be a police officer too. Meanwhile, at home, Mi Ka wanted to work on her thesis but found her computer broken. Frustrated, she posted about it on her social feed.
Xing Kelei saw the post but was about to leave for an extended special training session, so he asked Xing Keyao to lend his computer to Mi Ka. Xing Keyao took Mi Ka to Xing Kelei’s study and warned her not to break his LEGO models. But right after Xing Keyao left, Mi Ka accidentally knocked over and broke Xing Kelei’s carefully assembled LEGO.
While Xing Kelei was busy training, Mi Ka worked hard at the hospital and tried to fix the LEGO in her spare time. After work one day, she wanted to ride a shared bike home but couldn’t scan any usable bikes. The one that finally worked was broken. Luckily, she ran into Shao Yuhan, who gave her a ride.
After learning her computer was broken and she was struggling with her thesis, he gave her a website where she could find relevant resources. At the police station, Lu Feng played basketball with Xing Kelei and the others. He mentioned he wanted to pursue Ruan Qingxia. He knew she liked Shu Wenbo but believed she was only chasing him because she wasn’t used to being rejected. Lu Feng asked Shu Wenbo if he had feelings for Ruan Qingxia.
If not, he would make a move. Shu Wenbo was a little annoyed and said he had nothing to do with Ruan Qingxia. Meanwhile, Shu’s mother was still trying to match them. She pretended she wanted to see a movie and had Shu Wenbo buy tickets, then gave one to Ruan Qingxia. Shu Wenbo arrived at the theater only to find her sitting next to him. He tried to leave, but Ruan Qingxia pulled him down to sit.
Halfway through the movie, Shu Wenbo recalled Lu Feng’s words and told Ruan Qingxia that she was only pursuing him for the thrill, not real affection. Hurt that her feelings were seen as worthless, Ruan Qingxia left in anger. At the gym, she ran into Lu Feng and told him what happened. Lu Feng felt guilty, saying it was his words that caused the misunderstanding. Ruan Qingxia didn’t blame him.
She knew Shu Wenbo had unresolved issues in his heart, and even if it hadn’t been Lu Feng, someone else would’ve eventually triggered them. Due to Xiao Chao’s injury and reassignment to desk duty, the Tiger Team needed a new member. Three officers — Cui Zhihao, Xu Ning, and Zhuo Wenjing — were selected for the trial. Zhuo Wenjing was the girl who had bravely acted at the convenience store.
She briefly introduced herself, saying she was once a shooting champion and had been specially recruited into the force. During training, she even outperformed top sharpshooter Shu Wenbo. Her goal was to defeat Xing Kelei. After training, Xing Kelei planned to dine with Mi Ka, but Li Nian and others had already arranged a team dinner with the new recruits. Left with no choice, Xing Kelei asked Mi Ka to join them.
During dinner, Zhuo Wenjing asked if Mi Ka was Xing Kelei’s girlfriend. Mi Ka glanced at him awkwardly and denied it, while Xing Kelei also looked uncomfortable. Meanwhile, after being rejected by Shu Wenbo, Ruan Qingxia drank alone at a bar. Concerned, the waiter called the boss — who happened to be Lu Feng. Seeing Ruan Qingxia in such distress, he felt deeply sorry for her.
