Li Bing went to a brothel and found a girl. She was the masked woman in black who had held Chen Shi hostage at the dock. Based on the throwing dart left behind, Li Bing found the masked woman in black's residence. She claimed to be a Hu person. Li Bing asked if the murder case was related to the masked woman in black. She denied it but admitted she was looking for something related to Yi Zhi Hua.

Immediately after, the beggar Li Bing had encountered at the tavern was also brutally murdered. When searching his residence, they found two pieces of broken silver in the room, which was the money Li Bing had paid the beggar for information. This indicates the murderer was not after wealth.
