Untouchable Lovers Episode 9 Recap
> Untouchable Lovers Recap
Today was the last deadline given by the Pavilion Master of Tianji to Liu Chuyu. If she could not kill Liu Ziye and complete the mission, a severe punishment awaited her. Fundai had always worried about Liu Chuyu, reminding her not to forget the mission. But Liu Chuyu was determined to change Liu Ziye, and had long ago abandoned her intention to kill him.
Liu Chuyu entered the palace with the sachet Rong Zhi had given her, but unexpectedly encountered assassins halfway. The guards hurriedly returned to the manor for help, and Rong Zhi rushed to rescue her. In the chaos, Liu Chuyu was separated. The assassin He Jue entered the carriage with a sword. He Jue was a swordsman as famous as Hua Cuo. He Jue had always believed that Liu Chuyu had imprisoned Hua Cuo, and threatened Liu Chuyu to release him.
Liu Chuyu told him that Hua Cuo was only injured and temporarily staying at the Princess's manor. He Jue had always feared women, and thus could not get close to Liu Chuyu. The confined space of the carriage made him extremely uncomfortable. It was at this moment that Rong Zhi leaped into the carriage. He told He Jue that pursuers would arrive soon and advised him to leave quickly if he knew what was good for him.
He Jue, not doubting him, leaped away. The speeding carriage could not be stopped. Rong Zhi provoked Liu Chuyu with words, wanting her to leave first. Liu Chuyu had initially believed him, but suddenly realized that it would be impossible for Rong Zhi to have jumped onto a speeding carriage so easily. Indeed, after careful observation, she discovered that Rong Zhi's foot was stuck in the carriage and he couldn't move. Ahead was a cliff.
Just before the carriage plunged down, Rong Zhi timely cut the ropes connecting the carriage to the horses, slowing it down, and jumped out with Liu Chuyu in his arms. They rolled several times before finally coming to a stop. Rong Zhi's arm was injured, and he took out a silver needle to stop his own bleeding. He Jue suddenly returned, realizing that Rong Zhi had just lied to him.
He Jue had always wanted to compete with Hua Cuo to prove who was superior, but Rong Zhi deliberately praised Hua Cuo and belittled him, drawing all of He Jue's resentment onto himself. He thought that if he could stall for a little longer, reinforcements should arrive. Rong Zhi's martial arts were inferior to He Jue's, and he knew he couldn't win. He turned and jumped off the cliff. Seeing this, Liu Chuyu immediately jumped after him.
There was a foothold on the cliff face, which Rong Zhi had known all along. He jumped down to place himself in a desperate situation, hoping to find a way out. He just hadn't expected Liu Chuyu to follow him. Severely injured, Rong Zhi leaned on Liu Chuyu's shoulder to rest temporarily. No matter how uncomfortable he felt, he would always face it with a smile.
Rong Zhi told Liu Chuyu that he was disliked by his father as a child and was often beaten. Only by smiling could he soften his father's heart. Liu Chuyu felt sympathy for such a Rong Zhi. She had always thought Rong Zhi was omnipotent, never imagining he would have such a vulnerable side. The rescuers from the Princess's manor arrived, and Liu Chuyu and Rong Zhi safely returned to the manor. Before this, Liu Ziye had suddenly visited.
Fundai knew this was an opportunity; since Zhu Que couldn't do it, it had to be her. She and Zhu Que had grown up together, and she truly couldn't bear to see Zhu Que punished for failing to complete the mission. Under her persistent pleading, the Pavilion Master of Tianji agreed to give her three more days. Fundai seized the opportunity to perform a dance for Liu Ziye. Liu Ziye, infatuated, took Fundai into the palace.
Mo Xiang witnessed all of this, clenching his fists and enduring repeatedly before refraining from any excessive obstructive actions. After Liu Chuyu returned to the manor, Huan Yuan promptly informed her about Fundai's entry into the palace. Liu Chuyu rushed into the palace, hoping to rescue Fundai. However, Liu Ziye's bedchamber was not somewhere she could enter just because she wished to. Liu Chuyu met Princess Xincai outside. Liu Ziye had previously forcefully taken Princess Xincai.
Princess Xincai, upon seeing Liu Chuyu, verbally insulted her. In just a short while, Liu Ziye's personal guard Zong Yue arrived. Liu Chuyu had no choice but to give up on rescuing her and reluctantly left the palace. Zong Yue had always suspected that Liu Chuyu would be detrimental to Liu Ziye, and specifically reminded her to mind her status at the palace gate. The assassin Liu Chuyu encountered was sent by the Imperial Son-in-Law He Ji.
He Ji had always been displeased with Liu Chuyu's promiscuity and outrageous behavior, which had made him lose all face. So he arranged for assassins, but he hadn't expected He Jue to fail. The princess had encountered assassins, so He Ji, as the imperial son-in-law, had to pay her a visit, however reluctantly. Unexpectedly, when he went with medicines, he was stopped at the door by Liu Chuyu's maid You Lan, who said the princess was resting.
He Ji turned to leave, but then accidentally saw Liu Chuyu going towards Mu Xueyuan, where Rong Zhi resided, in the corridor. His heart filled with raging anger, and he threw the box of medicines in his hand. Liu Chuyu went to visit Rong Zhi, concerned about his injuries. During their conversation, Rong Zhi mentioned Fundai, saying that Mo Xiang and Fundai were in love with each other, and he wanted Liu Chuyu to help them achieve their happiness.
Liu Chuyu had never known about Mo Xiang and Fundai; upon hearing this, she clenched her fists. Fundai had already entered the palace, and it was too late to say anything now. After Liu Chuyu left, Mo Xiang entered. Rong Zhi asked him why, knowing Liu Ziye's nature, he still watched Fundai enter the palace. Mo Xiang felt bitter and extremely pained inside.
He knew that Rong Zhi, despite knowing Fundai had already entered the palace, made that request to make Liu Chuyu lose hope in Liu Ziye, stop trying to change him, and thus save the Liu dynasty. In fact, Mo Xiang felt the same way. Although he admired Fundai, compared to his own love, what he could not forget more was the blood feud of his entire family.
Back then, he had watched his family die under Zong Yue's sword, powerless to do anything. The only belief sustaining his life was the destruction of the Liu dynasty. In the palace, Fundai, while Liu Ziye was asleep, together with Princess Xincai, who could no longer endure Liu Ziye's insults, placed a long silk sash around his neck and pulled both ends forcefully.
Just as Liu Ziye's breathing became increasingly difficult, the commander of the shadow guards, Lin Mu, suddenly appeared and saved him. Meanwhile, Liu Chuyu awoke from a nightmare, sensing that something might have happened in the palace. Indeed, she was summoned to the palace within moments. Princess Xincai was dead, and Fundai, injured, knelt in the main hall. Liu Chuyu was burning with anxiety at the sight but could not show the slightest flaw.
Watching Liu Ziye torture Fundai, Liu Chuyu couldn't bear to see Fundai suffer and personally ended her life. Her mind was filled with memories of growing up with Fundai. Using a headache as an excuse, she hurriedly left the palace and met Tian Rujing halfway.
