Treasures Around Episode 10 Recap
> Treasures Around Recap
Several people are captured and held captive in a courtyard. The thugs holding them comment on their fear, especially of chickens, calling them soft city folks. They notice Pei Pei's chest appears puffy and search him, thinking he is hiding money. Pei Pei inwardly wonders if these are the only idiots who cannot tell he is a woman. The thugs hear a woman's voice.
Pei Pei fakes a high-pitched voice, and the thugs become excited, realizing there is a girl among the captives. They decide to inform their leader, anticipating a night of entertainment. Meanwhile, A'Liu is frantically searching for help. He encounters Shan Shuangshuang and Su Jue in the street and breathlessly informs them that his young master and Shan Dandan have been kidnapped by thugs. Su Jue and Shan Shuangshuang immediately decide to go rescue them.
The thugs bring their leader to see the captive girl. The leader is struck by how much Pei Pei resembles someone important to him. He insists that Pei Pei be taken to his wife's room to change into her clothes and put on makeup. After the change, the leader is even more astonished, proclaiming that Pei Pei looks exactly like his wife. Just then, Su Jue and Shan Shuangshuang arrive with a group of people, demanding the thugs stop.
Pei Pei emerges in his disguise, feeling mortified upon seeing Su Jue witness his predicament. Su Jue, initially surprised, teases him mercilessly. Soon after, A'Liu arrives with more reinforcements, and the thugs are quickly subdued. Su Jue continues to make fun of Pei Pei's appearance in the woman's attire. Continuing their investigation, Pei Pei and Su Jue travel together, still engaging in sharp-tongued banter. They return to the home of the woman who was poisoned.
Shan Shuangshuang examines the woman and confirms she has been poisoned by Yin-Yang Tame Head Herb. She explains the nature of the poison and its severe effects, stating that without timely treatment, the person becomes like a walking corpse. The woman's husband pleads with Shan Shuangshuang to save his wife. Shan Shuangshuang prepares to treat her, requesting specific items. During the treatment, she uses acupressure to aid the process. Su Jue observes her technique with surprise.
Shan Shuangshuang quickly explains that she learned this skill from Doctor Qu to block acupoints and prevent blood flow. With help from A'Yu, medicine is brewed, and after initial treatment, Shan Shuangshuang states that a few doses should lead to recovery, confirming the poison was not too deeply embedded. The husband expresses immense gratitude for saving his wife's life.
The group discusses why someone unrelated to the aromatic jade project would be poisoned, wondering if it is connected to the project or a personal vendetta against Precious Pei Pavilion. The woman wakes up and recounts her experience. She confirms she bought the new aromatic bracelet but later, on her way home, she passed a sewing shop and was approached by a woman who recommended a new "seven-colored thread," saying it was much softer than the bracelet's five-colored thread.
The woman bought a piece of the seven-colored thread and replaced the original. Shan Shuangshuang examines the thread the woman bought and discovers the poison is embedded within its husk. She explains how the Yin and Yang threads of this type cannot be separated by burning, and they realize the villain found a way to infuse the poison into this tiny connecting thread.
The woman could not recall what the woman who sold her the thread looked like, only that she seemed upright and was pretty. Since the aromatic jade itself was not the source of the poison, Tan Qinghe is cleared of suspicion and takes his leave. The farmer couple, feeling remorseful for having blamed Precious Pei Pavilion earlier, offer them a meal and a place to stay the night.
Pei Pei agrees, noting the late hour and the danger of traveling at night in the countryside. Shan Shuangshuang also agrees to stay. Su Jue and A'Yu go to the Facet Sewing Shop to investigate, sending people to keep watch overnight and attempt to sneak in. Su Jue reflects that this matter is not simple, especially considering Precious Pei Pavilion's low-key reputation in recent years, making it unlikely they would have made such deeply grudged enemies.
He emphasizes the need to uncover the truth, also mentioning the safety of Shan Shuangshuang as a reason for his involvement. Meanwhile, Shan Dandan shares her life's dream with Pei Pei: to become a successful jade consultant and eventually open a jade shop with her sister to live a carefree life. Pei Pei reassures her, promising he will not let her suffer anymore and will help her achieve her dream.
Suddenly, Shan Dandan remembers Pei Pei's impressive imitation of a woman earlier that day and jokingly asks if he learned it from the courtesans at Full Bloom House. Pei Pei denies it, but Shan Dandan teases him playfully, chasing him and accusing him of learning from other girls. Later, Su Jue receives a report from A'Yu that the surveillance at the sewing shop revealed nothing suspicious throughout the night.
A'Yu managed to sneak in during the quiet hours but found the shop exceptionally clean, as if it had been recently tidied, which felt strange. Su Jue finds this odd. Just then, someone rushes in with urgent news, calling Su Jue to Full Bloom House. At Full Bloom House, Madam Yang is in a panic, angrily accusing Su Jade Pavilion's fragrant jewelry of causing the girls to be poisoned.
She includes Tan Fragrance Pavilion in her blame since Su Jade Pavilion uses their spices. She describes how over a dozen girls have become like insane walking corpses, biting anyone they encounter, forcing her to lock them away. Pei Pei and Shan Dandan arrive, and Madam Yang reiterates her accusations. Shan Dandan points out that the farmer woman did not exhibit these severe symptoms, suggesting the situation at Full Bloom House is more complex.
Despite the eerie transformation of the once-lively brothel into a terrifying place, they decide they must enter to try and save the girls. They nervously make their way inside, staying close together. Suddenly, several infected girls appear and aggressively attack them. They scatter in fear and try to escape. Pei Pei quickly pulls Shan Dandan under a table for cover. Shan Dandan suggests holding their breath, which they attempt, but they are soon discovered. Taking advantage of the moment, they break free and continue running to escape the attacking girls.
