> The World of Fantasy Recap
At the Illusory Demon Sect’s Maple Leaves Holy Land, Huang Shuli and Pan Qianqian dueled fiercely for the final sword token to enter the Graveyard of Gods. Pan Qianqian ultimately defeated Huang Shuli, earning the qualification, while Huang Shuli, enraged, accused her junior sister of arrogance. Meanwhile, Li Mu led Qin Lie, Song Tingyu, Xie Jingxuan, Yiyuan, and Du Shaoyang to the Heavenly Calamity Continent, explaining it was their first trial in the Land of Chaos.
He introduced the continent’s major powers: the Terminator Sect, known for their unique Terminator Profound Bombs; the Artefact Forging Sect, the elder brother to the Armament Sect; and the Heavenly Sword Sect, led by Li Mu himself. He then spoke of the Graveyard of Gods, a perilous place that opens only once every ten years, where few return alive.
Survival is said to be possible only for those acknowledged by the Demon Sealing Tombstone, which is rumored to be a legacy of Gong Mulie. Both Qin Lie and Song Tingyu showed keen interest in the Tombstone upon hearing Gong Mulie’s name. Li Mu cautioned everyone against reckless actions and reminded them of the significant power disparity between their realm and the Imperishable Realm leaders of this land.
He also mentioned the Ghost Eye Race, a branch of the Nether Race living peacefully with humans on the continent. Upon arrival, the group encountered three members of the Ghost Eye Race—La Er, La Fei, and La Pu—who offered to guide them through Dark Jade City. The Ghost Eye Race, despite their small stature, boasted great wisdom and extensive knowledge, claiming that if they didn’t know something, no one in the Land of Chaos would.
They quickly deduced that Qin Lie and his companions were the renowned group from the Scarlet Tide Continent, who had supposedly gained favor with Li Mu to secure their sword tokens. Qin Lie and others found their cunning charm endearing. The Ghost Eye Race revealed that Dark Jade City is managed by five Silver rank forces, known for their open-mindedness towards various races but also for daily battles due to their adherence to the rule of "might makes right."
As news spread that the Graveyard of Gods’ entrance was about to open, Qin Lie decided they should find lodging first. However, at the Blue Star Association Tavern, they found prices exorbitant, with the Heaven Room costing 500 premium spirit stones per night, the Earth Room 100, and the Secular Room 50. When their attempts to offer 500 medium-grade spirit stones were scorned, the innkeeper, recognizing their sword tokens, tried to coerce them into mortgaging the tokens for free lodging.
Realizing they had been betrayed by the Ghost Eye Race, who had accepted their spirit stones without revealing this vital information, they prepared to fight. They confronted the innkeeper, who, upon learning they were associates of Li Mu of the Heavenly Sword Mountain, quickly backed down. Deciding that Dark Jade City was too risky and expensive, the group opted to head directly to the Graveyard of Gods to await its opening.
Meanwhile, Ling Yushi had been crowned Empress of the Nether Race and quickly earned her people's approval. With the power of the Mother of Earth, she could now reshape the land, creating flowers, trees, and lakes, showcasing her immense potential. For the long-term future of her people, Ling Yushi resolved not to initiate new conflicts but to focus on recuperation and cultivating the Scripture of the Nine Hells.
She acknowledged Qin Lie’s previous plea to the Master of Frost for help, which had protected them from the Profound Heaven Alliance and the Eight Extreme Temple. While grateful, she reiterated that old animosities would not be easily resolved, vowing to stand firm if ever attacked, even if it meant turning the land into ruins. As a faint light emanated from the entrance of the Graveyard of Gods, the group gathered.
The Ghost Eye Race reappeared, offering crucial information about safely entering the portal: holding hands to avoid being scattered by powerful air currents, for a hefty price of 200 spirit stones. Once inside, Qin Lie and his companions found themselves in an underwater maze. A man in white fur, Chu Li, the volatile genius of the Terminator Sect, immediately attacked them with numerous Terminator Profound Bombs.
Qin Lie, recalling the Ghost Eye Race’s description, recognized Chu Li’s distinctive attire and explosive temperament. Elsewhere, Song Tingyu observed others vying for the Demon Sealing Tombstone. Using an illusion, she tricked them and successfully seized the Tombstone. Returning to the maze, she encountered Huang Shuli, who had used her illusory arts to disguise herself as Qin Lie.
Song Tingyu, however, easily saw through the deception, stating that the real Qin Lie would first inquire about her well-being, not demand the Tombstone. Recognizing Huang Shuli’s superior illusionary skills but inferior combat abilities, Song Tingyu engaged her. Huang Shuli, outmatched, called for Chu Li, revealing their prior acquaintance. With Chu Li unleashing his bombs, Song Tingyu quickly sought refuge in a nearby cave. Separately, Du Shaoyang stumbled into a tavern filled with seemingly dead bodies.
He discovered the innkeeper had tied up Xie Jingxuan, threatening her life and coercing Du Shaoyang to drink poisoned wine. Just then, Yiyuan entered the tavern, only for the "dead bodies" to reanimate and capture him. In desperation, Yiyuan transformed into a small snake and slipped into the room. Seeing Yiyuan enter, Du Shaoyang feigned compliance, taking the wine. Once Yiyuan attacked the innkeeper, Du Shaoyang knocked him unconscious, rescuing Xie Jingxuan.
However, Yiyuan soon revealed that he had been ambushed, not by the innkeeper, but by the "fake dead bodies," leading Du Shaoyang to realize the entire event was a meticulously planned trap set by Xie Jingxuan. Xie Jingxuan confessed her intention was to prevent Du Shaoyang from obtaining the Demon Sealing Tombstone, disappointed by his persistent obsession with his grudge against Qin Lie, which she felt overshadowed their shared past. Du Shaoyang, seeing her disappointment, hung his head low.
Song Tingyu managed to escape the barrier and was met by Qin Lie. As Huang Shuli and Chu Li pursued them, Song Tingyu and Qin Lie cleverly swapped the real Demon Sealing Tombstone for a fake, holding it high to attract other pursuers, thus creating a diversion to escape. Fleeing through the chaotic streets, amidst an ongoing battle, Song Tingyu’s attention was drawn to a mysterious door, sensing an inherent danger behind it.
Moments later, Qin Lie and Song Tingyu witnessed dead bodies reanimating and heard eerie sounds emanating from behind the door. They decided to avoid the strange door for now. Later, in the evening, Yiyuan, having returned to human form, wandered the empty streets, overcome with sadness and missing Lian Rou. He openly expressed his loneliness and longing for her. By chance, Pan Qianqian passed by, feeling an indistinct sense of familiarity with the sorrowful figure.
